Location to concert hall.
Not even close!
We paid nearly $400. a night my in-laws $500.
The rooms are ran down and dirty. The carpet is beyond filthy. The furniture so gross you wouldn’t want to sit on it. Bed and pillows are old and not comfortable. We had a nice view or what we could see thru the dirty windows.
Had to request housekeeping everyday. The restaurant hours are not supportive to the lack of other services in the area. Limited dinner menu with no vegetarian or vegan options. Lunch menu did offer one option. Limited service and staff. Shout out to Jessica in the restaurant who worked her butt off. Downtown Jacksonville is dead and with the restaurant not offering service all day you are left to fend for yourselves.
There are vision boards in the lobby making you think they are going to remodel but a friend who stays there often because of its location to concert hall a cross the street, said they have had those boards up for a year and half.
Your choices are limited here in Jax’s. I’d choose somewhere else.

It was near the Maroon 5 event.
I had a bad experience at the hotel. There was a live gecko in my room and the shower was not hot enough. I sent a message to the hotel via bookings.com and I went to the reception to complain about the wifi charge since I am a Marriot Bonvoy member. The receptionist told me that they would waive the wifi charge but they did not. They seemed to be in a hurry and did not ask me about my stay. My room was in front of the gym and it was very noisy from the pipes, probably from the room above.

It was located right across the street from the concert venue we attended. The only thing that was a concern was that there was no place to eat. The hotel restaurant was booked. So we wound up getting hot dogs at the concert venue.
There was only one restaurant and it was booked. The hotel could recommend making reservations at their restaurant ahead of time so we could have known todo so.

Nothing!
I have stayed in this hotel for years. Never had a problem. Marriott purchased it. Checked in Friday @ 4pm was told my room was not ready. We later discovered that was not true. After 40 min we found a manager. Had an event to get to @ 7 pm . Now it’s 4:50, & must change, eat, make it to the event. Go to the restaurant stand to be seated with others for 10 min. Food microwaved! But I definitely paid big bucks to stay. Never again. No apologies, no nothing! Shameful

The views, accessibility to local activities, and the staff were all a plus! The hotel physically speaking is also up to expectations; very clean and modern with a full restaurant and bar area.
Booking.com indicates that the hotel has parking, but does not specify that it is valet service only. While I do understand that this is part of 4 star hotel service, I don't wanna pay an additional $30 per day for valet service PLUS tips when I was not made aware of this detail beforehand. The valets worked hard, but my main complaint with the service more than anything else was the fact that I paid $150 for valet total and they were way understaffed for the traffic flow. At times it took 15-20mins to get your vehicle cause they were so busy.

The front entrance was less than a two star. The room smelled so bad I couldn't breathe. We paid for breakfast and did not get the breakfast vouchers.
