The one-bedroom suite was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped.
The breakfast menu was marginal and wasn’t kept stocked throughout the breakfast period- late breakfasters may find that there isn’t much left to choose from.

Good location, good amenities & some friendly staff.
Sink height was too low and I’m average height.

The air purifier/dehumidifier in the room was a nice surprise and made it feel less like the typical hotel experience. The decor of the room and building was nice and homey, sort of old world style; the bathroom was clean and spacious, and the breakfast (and breakfast area) was lovely! The staff was also pleasant and helpful. The front desk person even went up to the kitchen to get me some tea bags after I inquired if they had any in the evening. So nice!
The one thing we found odd about the room was the bed. It was a sheet, then something that was either an uncovered duvet or a plain white comforter that was very stained, and then another sheet on top of it, just sort of tucked over the comforter thing. I thing having a sheet over the duvet is a nice idea because then the top of the bed where people sit will always be washed between guests, but it’s strange that they’d leave an uncovered and stained duvet easily visible when you peel back a little of the top sheet. Seems like you could still put a nice cover on it, or just get a cleaner comforter, and continue to do the sheet on top for hygienic purposes.

Not is the Stratford relatively close to the shops and restaurants in downtown Ashland, but the staff, particularly Christy (sp.?) in the breakfast area was abundantly engaging and informative.
The hotel is a tad older and the room size was certainly ample, but not generous.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the indoor pool a real treat after being on the road all day. the real plus is the hot oatmeal breakfast plus extras. We've stayed here before and will again.

The staff were so friendly and personable!
Halloween was such a fun time to visit Ashland !
Everything was great. Some eggs, bacon would be nice in the breakfast but I could not be happier with my stay.

Breakfast was not great

Very tasteful decor with posters from past Shakespeare festivals. The rooms have hardwood floors and are kept very clean, there is a fridge and microwave in the room. Staff are very friendly too. The location next door to Safeway is a bonus.
Breakfast was OK. It could be expanded to include more hot items.

staff in the morning and checkout was friendly. parking was free.
Room did not look like the pictures. Old rooms and furniture. Doesn’t justify the price. Check in staff was not very friendly. Breakfast was poor.

No issues. all good.

Excellent accessible room, didn't need it but was impressed with rollin shower and spaciousness of room. Quiet and very comfortable room.
Couldn't name a thing!

During snowy weather, it’s nice to have a covered garage. Location is great to walk to shops and restaurants. Pet friendly and clean. It had a fenced “smoking garden”, where my dog could play unleashed, safely. Breakfast staff woman was extremely helpful for winter travel trips, exceptionally friendly and kind to all.
The room heaters, as in a lot of older hotels, are very noisy during the night. Room is nice and warm, but hard to sleep.

The breakfast was very limited. Their should be more options available.

It was basic and CLEAN. I did like the REAL plant on the table. I like the 'hard wood' floors. I utilized the washer and dryer. Location was good. I would stay again.
The breakfast could use some help. Homeless population, not the hotel's fault, but should be noted.

Room was spacious, breakfast was good (oatmeal, coffee, bagels, bread, cereal, yogurts, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, but no meat or scrambled eggs). Staff was friendly, pool was open but didn't get to take advantage of it. Convenient location to downtown Ashland and literally right next to a Safeway grocery store.
Bed was okay, sheets were a little flat and pillows quite old and needed to be replaced. We did notice one of the hand towels had a stain on it, which didn't make us feel good about the overall cleanliness.

Very friendly staff. Free parking, some covered even. Theres a Safeway right across the street. Comfortable room. There’s an indoor pool but we did not use it.
Room key was not digital, not a big deal, just a little stressful. The breakfast was disappointing and not fresh or satisfying.

The pool, though it closed too early, was a lot of fun. It’s a beautiful building.
We accidentally left an expensive swimsuit in our room hanging from the shower curtain and called about it less than two hours after checking out. Then we came to retrieve it less than three hours after checkout. It was not returned to us.

Gréât breakfast. Loved the hot tub and pool. Staff encouraged me to enjoy the hotel and town!!

The hotel was centrally located. Breakfast has good options (hot cereal, bagels that seemed local, etc). I liked that the rooms did not have carpet but were laminate flooring. We have 2 with dust allergies and the carpet can make for problems. The pool and hot tub looked fine but we did not avail ourselves of them - I noticed it was saline instead of chlorine which we prefer. The price point was great.
Well, the heat was not central but a wall unit which can make it hard to regulate the temperature. Not a deal breaker and also we like a cooler room to sleep so we just turned it off, and it stayed ok in the room.

very skimpy breakfast. no sausage or bacon. nothing but carbohydrates. maybe there was some fruit but did not notice. I settled for oatmeal, dried fruit some nuts
8.0
the hallway from the reception area to our room was very cold, seems like it could be a warmer walkway since you have to go that way from the pool as well
10.0
Nice looking environment, clean with a bit of charm. Parking and check in was easy, room clean and elevator access. The breakfast area was well maintained by staff and stocked with fresh food, easy to bring to room. Over all nice.

Good breakfast selection. There were a variety of options including hard boiled eggs, cereal, tea, bagels, toast, oatmeal. The pool was also nice except we happened to be there at the same time as a bunch of middle school kids on a field trip. We also appreciated this place was pet friendly and let us stay with two of our rats for a very reasonable additional charge. Walking distance to the plays.
Probably the only thing was the middle schoolers being crazy in the pool which was just a coincidence of timing. The breakfast could only be improved by adding some other styles of egg and maybe sausages but I know that would take expenses up and increase price.
