The beds had clean bedding however they needed deep cleaned. The pillows where completely flat. The cleaning staff didn't knock/ announce before entering the room. Accused of having a dog in our room however we didn't. The location was far from the stores other then 1 gas station which was to high priced.
Location, proper hospitality etiquette, beds, rates for the type and style of room. Staff display of respect and amenities available for patrons. As well as language barrier between guest and staff.

Nothing
The room smelled bad

I didn’t like the location. didn’t feel safe and didn’t even make it to the room

It was cheap for good reasons.
Remember the sketch motels in Supernatural the Winchester boys would stay in? More sketch than that.

Super friendly staff and cheap price
it is very old you can tell they are trying to renovate, but be prepared for what comes with a very old hotel

This room was extremely clean! Pleasantly surprised. They provided alot of towels in the room.
The doorknob on the bathroom door would not close. Only one trash can in whole room and that was in the bathroom.

Nothing
Was filthy. Brown stains on wall in bathroom looked like crap. Smelled bad carpet was dirty. Lobby was dirty and in disarray. Was the worst place I had ever seen. Their response was...people last night didn't mind. Were they a pack of wolves?.....bad bad bad.

High ceiling. Close to the faire. Large room.
Very old. Not the safest tenants/area. Didn't have electricity for approximately 7 hours.

The room was huge. much bigger than expected. It was very comfortable. also, staff were exceptional. My boyfriend left his glasses in the room. he only realized the next day. They had them and kept them so he could pick them up later that week.
The location. This is only due to the road construction. . once that is completed, location will not be an issue.
The facility is definitely out dated, although our room stated no smoking, you could tell that it had been heavily smoked in.

the room and bed was clean and well kept.
there was no breakfast, there could be more people coming in if they restarted their breakfast. the bathroom could have been a bit better if the toilet wasn't pressed up against the wall.

The man at the front desk was very nice.
When I arrived to my room, police officers were forcing their way into a nearby room and lots of people were milling around outside. It was a ghetto area and reminded me of my childhood. I didn’t like my childhood. I was woken up several times by sirens and I’m pretty sure a gunshot woke me up at 2 am. Once the hall light turned on by itself and I think the switch is wired to the room behind the shared door.
I saw about 10 cockroaches. The rooms seemed clean, but I think there are monthly guests and the roaches come from them. I watched one come under the shared door.

The bed was comfortable and the property seemed fairly secure
the room did not feel as if it was cleaned thoroughly at all…the bathroom could have used better cleaning and amenities.

The bed was comfortable and the room had a good shower (plenty of warm water)!
The check in staff was a little scary when he said no refunds after 20 minutes. It scared me a little but I had a good stay once I realized that my budget motel room was very adequate.

I loved the family suite with 3 beds, very spacious. Also loved the idea of having a couch in the room. The microwave and refrigerator was a great added touch.
The Couch looked and felt old. Lots of stains. The room had a very musty smell.

I have stayed at this property on and off for several years because of the proximity to the Renaissance festival and because I travel on a very strict budget. I am at faire all 8 weekends of the season so I look for the most cost effective way to travel. I will say that the owner and his family are trying to upgrade the motel in many ways.
I noticed when I drove into the parking lot that the grounds looked my better than they did last year. I was given a room with new beds, the room was extremely clean, the refrigerator and microwave appeared to be new and all of the amenities were in good working order.
I visited with the owner before I left and he told me about the improvements they are trying to make and one thing they have done will go far for budget travelers like me; they have stopped letting people live there, which is the major thing that caused the motel to look run down and brought a bad element of people on occasion.
They have replaced the roof, are renovating each guest room, the grounds look so much cleaner, and I think there will be more improvement. There were no bugs or other pests in the room. I’ve never seen that when I have stayed there but I saw other reviews that mentioned them.
This is a $50 per night hotel; do not expect the Ritz Carlton because you won’t get that. This is a family owned and operated budget motel and they are working to make it nice. I do not feel unsafe and the doors had new electronic locks. When you have been at the Renaissance fair all day in a 50 pound Tudor court gown you want a place with a hot shower that is clean and has a good bed without breaking the bank, and this is it for me now that I have seen the upgrades. I have stayed at the Hampton or used my Comfort Suites points for my trips to faire and the bed I got here was as good at the ones in the more expensive hotels. I have booked them for the entire fair season now and I know the family will give me good service. Give them a chance.
