I like the bar on the top floor.
I had no issues with property.

Very cute design and downtown

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was attentive and friendly.
The room was small with too much furniture. The bed, we felt, was on a slant and the pillows offered no support. The additional seating in the room was uncomfortable as well. Because of this we checked out earlier then planned.

Beautiful hotel with vintage feel. The in house restaurant was delicious and the 6th cocktail lounge was a lot of fun.

Central location, beautiful view of Lake Superior.
It didn't have a fridge, but that's okay.

I loved the location. The room was beautiful, and we overlooked the river. The bed and pillows were so comfortable.
That we were charged a different amount that what we booked at.

Great location. Walkable to downtown restaurants and bars.
The ice machine was directly across from our room and was quite loud.

Historic building, with a fun bar on the top floor with great views of the lake. Or room also had a nice view. It was a good size and nicely furnished. The bathroom was also very nice, The restaurant/bar on the first floor was good. We didn't go out into the neighborhood to find out more. Just passing through.
Can't think of anything. Don't miss the

Some minor updating needed but nothing really specific to mention.

Excellent location and historic vibe. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Really hard beds. Other than that it was great.

Very cool historic property. Rooms seem to be decorated to period and have original furnishings. With the exception of one person the staff was extremely kind and friendly.
A few small details were lacking: my room was clean but my coffee maker still had the old coffee capsule in it, there were no new capsules to make fresh coffee. There's coffee available in the lobby but I didn't know that until my second day because it hadn't been mentioned when I checked in. My second day I was very much looking forward to going to the cocktail lounge on the 6th floor for a nightcap. I stopped up in my room after dinner to drop off my leftovers and realized it was 10:00 p.m. I knew the cocktail lounge closed at 10:00 so I ran up there. I arrived about 10:02 and there were still several people enjoying drinks. The young lady tending bar informed me that I had missed last call. I told her I would quickly finish a drink before the other people there left, and she said she had already wiped down and could not accommodate me. I told her how disappointed I was and she seemed utterly unconcerned. As someone with 35 years in hospitality I found her apathy and unwillingness to accommodate me a really unfortunate ending to what was otherwise a nice stay.
