Parked close by
Outside area filthy. No staff on site. Therefore when the people upstairs from my room decide to have a banging loud time starting at 1 am -4am there was no person to report it to. Terrible night. Never again.

Check in and out was a breeze. Rooms were fantastic and comfortable.
Does not apply here.

Check in and Check out was a breeze. This is the way to do it!
This question does no apply here. Everything was spot on.

Place appearance…needs some paint on outside, new carpet on inside.

Parking proximity to room access is great. New remote entry and check out is very quick, streamlined.

I liked the check in process. We had a little issue and someone was there right away.
Good communication about what to do, codes etc throughout. Location was good. It was clean.
It smelled like cigarette smoke even though it is supposedly against the law to smoke within 25 feet of the motel. Not sure how long this has been a non smoking hotel. If it’s been a long time than something in that room needs to be changed out or thoroughly steam cleaned.
3.3
Not much.
Only one channel worked on TV. A service person visited room and could not fix as a new TV remote would be required.

OK for the price.

Right when I arrived a maintenance man also pulled up, and that was fortunate for me because I needed help getting into my room - you're sent a code to unlock your room, but the code I was sent didn't work! So the maintenance man got me a new code, which required going somewhere off-site - he took off in his car and returned in about 10 minutes, new code in hand.
Overall, the room was easily spacious enough for me, the bed was comfortable, the location was convenient - right by M-28/US-41 and close to a lot of restaurants - and the price was right (about as low as I could find when I googled "Marquette lodging" online).
Check-in is entirely electronic, which can cause problems: you're sent a code to unlock your room, but the code I was sent didn't work! Luckily a maintenance man arrived right when I did and was able to get a new code for me.
Also, in my room the carpeting was stained in many places, which made the room seem somewhat unclean even though everything else was fine, cleanliness-wise.

So comfortable and clean

The hotel was set up for Covid conditions where you didn't interact with the hotel staff. Check in was over email. They gave a pin for the door entry pad. Check out was also a different # in the door entry pad.
There was no USB port in the room. You'd think that there would be one if they went the extra step to put keypad entries on all of the doors.
3.3
Easy location.
No problem at all.

The fridge. It kept my food very cold
The door was hard to open. I had to hit it with my shoulder to get in. I never got a text for my code to get into my room. I had to go to Cedar inn to get my ? answered. I requested a first floor room instead they put me on the second floor. I'm handy capped person and the stares were very hard on me. The microwave was dirty inside. I had to unplug the microwave in order to make coffee and move it so I could make coffee. There was no lamp in my room. There was illegal things going on two doors up from me. And on the first floor. I always went to the parking lot but a lot of people smoked on the balcony?? I did not feel safe. I asked an employee about the door. Every time I went in the door jam on the left was coming off. No one did anything about that!! He was supposed to ask maintenance about the door?? The tub backed up every time I took a shower. The best thing was the fridge. It kept everything good and cold. The ad said breakfast available but there was no breakfast at the motel. All they had in that room was ice. So I felt like they lied to me. They said I could upgrade and pay more money if I wanted the first floor. I texted them right away when I found out my room was on the second floor but they said they didn't get them even though they went through.

inexpensive
run down. felt dirty. they instruct you to set your trash outside the door when you leave. false advertising by Booking.com that breakfast was included when it wasn’t. I contacted the manager who claimed it was a Booking.com issue but he would buy me breakfast if I allowed him/her to raise room rates by $10/night. I later found out that had I booked through Priceline I would have save $10/night. motel showed up as different names at different search engines.

New system for checking in and keypad locks, no more fumbling to find the key while carrying up suitcases and bags.
Different to remove your own garbage, but easy enough to do.
3.3
Nothing
Don’t be fooled, this is a no-service hotel. No one is on sight. They give you a code for entry and if it doesn’t work you’re out of luck. No phone number to call, just a text contact. Took 1/2 hr plus for any response.

The location is great for what we needed. The room was very large, better than expected. The beds were comfortable. Great lighting in the room and bathroom.
We were supposed to have a breakfast with our stay, but they said there was no staff to open the lobby for breakfast. The carpet in our room had some stains.
3.3
A lot of channels on the tv.
No breakfast was available. Major dust on hair dryer. Clock was broken. Carpet was dirty.

It was about all that was available in the Upper Peninsula & Marquette the weekend we traveled. We liked the location. The staff was friendly. The bed was pretty comfortable.
The property is a sad, worn down motel. We booked their last room, #121, a studio w a kitchen, 4 burner stove, sink, cabinets, but the tiniest fridge and no kitchen towels or dish cloth. So there’s no way you could cook and clean up after. One of the kitchen chairs was falling apart. The bathroom had no hair dryer. The toilet seat was old and the heater rusted.
3.3
Water stains in bathroom, toilet was dirty. Shower head was awful. Stains all over the carpet
3.3
Room was dirty, sheets questionable, toilet not clean. Staff with cigarettes and vape pen on counter. Staff discussed bed bugs openly and how they did not check IDs.
3.3
There was no breakfast!
No breakfast, stains in the carpet. Not a comfortable place.
3.3
Big room as advertised
NO BREAKFAST!!!! They have muffins and coffee, thats it, that is not breakfast, that's a snack! FALSE ADVERTISING, when I select breakfast included as search criteria I expect actual breakfast not cheap packaged snacks and crap coffee!
3.3
clean and quiet

well signed
hard to turn on into, hard right on a downhill slope

Very clean even if it’s pet friendly!
