Perfect for a relaxing romantic getaway!

Breakfasts were wonderful. Items were homemade, including croissants, quiche, granola, and eggs fresh from nearby farm. Presentation of food was lovely and everything was delicious. Had a wonderful time, setting along river was peaceful and relaxing. The B&B is a delightful mix of American rustic and French elegance. Thoroughly enjoyed are conversations with the proprietor. He was very helpful with suggestions for activities and sites to see in the area.

This is a wonderful place located in a peaceful, beautiful location along The New River; every detail was thoughtfully considered. Tom is an excellent host, and he made a lovely breakfast that included fresh. local eggs! :)

it is a one-night stay and Tom the host is extremely helpful providing some tips getting around the

i love the breakfast. it is the best breakfast ever in all the BnBs i stayed so far. the location is great. the place is beautiful, quaint and picturisque.

i dont like that you have to go outside your oom to reach the bathroom, but i have a private bathroom all to ourselves and the for the price we are paying. i really dont have much to complain.

Personal attention in a beautiful riverside house

Everything is done well here--comfy room with good privacy, nice breakfast, thoughtful advice about local restaurants and activities. The location on the river bank is quite special.

A couple of amenities in the bathroom had run out.

Quiet, peaceful, and lovely stay with accommodating host.

Beautiful French-country atmosphere by the River. Comfortable and clean. Very quiet and peaceful. Host (Tom) was gracious and helpful.

It’s somewhat isolated - but perfect if you want to get away from it all! If you’re older (like us), be aware that the room is upstairs in addition to several steps up to the house.

About breakfast. Christina, the host, is French. Need I say more? The breakfasts were superb. We ate on the back porch overlooking the New River. The experience could not have been better.

Excellent hospitality

Christine and Tom, they sincerely cared for guest. Breakfast was wonderful and of course the back yard was perfect place for us to relax. I had wonderful time there.

The breakfast was very good. The room was very cozy. Location was very good. The parking was safe. The room was very clean.

I have to go bathroom detached to the room. The entrance road to my room wasn't paved.

Thank you Tom & Christine; I will never forget this adventure/milestone. Hope to make it back again

Very gracious Host/Hostess. Made me feel right at home all 4 days. Breakfast was exceptional; I didn't have to eat again for 7 hours or so after hiking. Was secluded, quiet & private. Just what I wanted for my 65th birthday.

Peace and Quiet, a slice of the rural good life with a little bit of "French Dressing"

<> The peace and quiet <> The gentle and rustic ambience of the place <> The warm welcome from hosts Tom and Christine, who soon became our friends. <> The breakfast is special, very French in nature <> Bedsheets were so very nice and comfortable

That we didn't maybe have another day or two there. SERIOUSLY, there was nothing that displeased us.

We had a nice peaceful stay for our 55th wedding anniversary. The location is close to Boone , NC

The breakfast was very healthy and presented very nicely: granola with yogurt and topped with various fruits, O.J, coffee or tea, croissants with homeade jelly , scrambled eggs/bacon. We stayed in the 'Budget 'cottage which was a one room cabin at the back of the main house. The property backs up to the New River and is very picturesque.

We had to go in the back door of the main house and go up one flight of stairs for the bathroom. The 'Budget' cottage was basically a bedroom, with desk, TV and small fridge. The other guest room in the main house was on the third floor, so it still involved stairs , no matter which room you chose. The third floor room had a private bath, but it required coming down stairs for breakfast. Breakfast was brought to you in the '"Budget cottage' and you could eat in the room or on the porch at the back of the main house.

Relaxing beautiful retreat by the river.

What a beautiful location on the river. The hosts were lovely and the food outstanding!! Christine is from France and we were transported back to France with her savory French pastries and breakfast. The décor inside also had much French influence. If you have time have Tom drop you off for a beautiful Kayak ride down the river.
