Decent place to stay for a 1-night layover.

The hotel is clean, but basic. The WiFi worked well. Very close to the airport.

The beds are small.

a good unknow place

The location of the accommodation was superb. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. A Safeway store was conveniently located within a short 2-3 minute walk. Moreover, the staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist. Additionally, the place had some fruit trees, such as lemons, oranges, and persimmons, that guests could enjoy looking at.

If I had to pick one thing, the air conditioner was a little loud. It might vary based on your sensitivity.

very nice rooms for the price.

very nice staff, clean facilities, nice room with all the amenities. reasonably comfortable bed. all in all a nice place for the price. very convenient across the street from a great coffee shop to walk to in the morning

only downside is how the room is set up. I wish there was a way to use the bathroom sink and mirror without blaring light into the whole room. when my husband was already asleep in bed there was no way for me to use the sink area (brush teeth, remove makeup etc) without lighting up the whole room and disturbing him. the big mirror with the frame light is really cool when you’re both using it, but at night it’s not as practical as having everything inside the bathroom so you can close the door and not disturb anyone washing your hands etc in the middle of the night. for a short stay though, it’s a perfectly fine perfectly nice room.

Great place to stay.

We were warmly welcomed. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. Lots of places to eat nearby and supermarket. Ten minute bus ride to SAP center for hockey

Great motel with great staff

Very friendly and helpful staff Very nice rooms which looked like freshly renovated. The best thing is there no carpets or curtains, so no extra dust, dirt or microorganisms. Big thumbs up for this! Fast and stable wifi DirectTV box in the room AC is quiet enough to sleep without plugs and not to be bothered Very comfortable beds, pillows and linens Good location to major roads

Superb

I had a really pleasant stay, the room was really big and comfortable, great desk for working, very clean shower and very comfortable bed. The only downside I could find is the lighting; my room was on the ground floor, so letting the blinds open wasn't really an option due to privacy. So the alternative was to use artificial light always, even during the day. That's not great, especially from an environmental point of view, but it's really a minor detail considering how outstanding everything else was. Especially the owner of the motel, really sweet and helpful person, it's a pleasure to encounter people like that.

Great value, clean and modern motel

This motel had lovely clean, modern rooms. I’ve never stayed in a motel before but often American TV doesn’t paint the best picture of them so I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was well equipped, with a large TV, microwave, fridge, hairdryer, toiletries and an iron and ironing board. Bed was comfy. Good location, just off the main road and San Jose itself was an easy city to drive around. Very close to Santa Clara university so there are a few nice cafes/lunch places nearby. The man who checked us in (assuming the owner) was very friendly, and allowed us to leave the car at the motel when we arrived some time before checkin.

Hands Down The Best Hotel Stay In Santa Clara

I loved everything about my stay at Sterling Inn. The room was comfortable, the bed was perfect, the location is great, the whole facility is well cared for, and above all else the owner, Ed, is the reason I will come back and stay again and again.

I'd definitely stay again!

A very clean and pleasant room. Staff super nice, Ed helped with my small extra request with no issue at all. I highly recommend it if you need an accommodation in Santa Clara area.

Comfortable, quite but spare

Comfortable, quiet but spare. No coffee maker, and the fridge went on and off all night, not so helpful for a good night's rest. I unplugged it the next night, since I wasn't using it. Seems to have been recently renovated, shower brand new and fresh paint and new floor. The owner is a charming! So appreciated his recommendation for nearby takeout.
