Comfortable, clean, location, quiet.

Staff was cordial, but not very welcoming. Very disappointed there was no coffee or water available except during breakfast hours. I would have expected the availability of both in the lobby or breakfast area as a courtesy to guest throughout the stay at a Marriott affiliate hotel.

The GM, Gerard, made a dinner reservation for us and we were very pleased

Overall excellent, with some minor quirks that need work.

The location was excellent, in terms of ease of access to the rest of Abingdon. There wasn't much of a view from my room, but that was more than compensated for by the amenities and the quality of staffing.

There was a limited breakfast selection, and the eggs tended to be on the rubbery side. The breakfast side of things definitely could do with a bit more work. But, to be fair, that's the only aspect that I found the least bit irksome, everything else was excellent.

The suite was very large and was very comfortable for 3 adults

Overall great. Except for the fire pit not working.

Fix the damn fire pit. Second year in a row it was not working when we went with our 14 friends for our annual Virginia Creeper weekend.

Great weekend getaway!

The breakfast was good. We loved the hotel room! The indoor pool and gym were very nice! The staff was super friendly! We loved the close location to downtown and the great little places to eat!

Room was dirty, had not been cleaned by housekeeping, when we entered the room. Took an hour for it to be cleaned. Given excuses as to why room wasn't clean upon arrival. No discount for our inconvenience.

Fine in a pinch

Poor - food was cold and coffee not very good. We went elsewhere after tasting things.

Omelette needs to be hot or at least above cold. I do not think it was heated through as it looked like the middle was just outside of a frozen state.

Comfortable and clean stay

It was clean and modern. The staff were attentive and the building is far enough from the highway that the stay was quiet. The bathroom shower was great!

The rooms are not very soundproof.

This will probably be our last stay at Fairfield in Abingdon.

The beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. The view was nice.

Due to a change of family plans, we had to move the reservation from Sunday night to Saturday night and the difference in price was almost $100. That seems excessive for the area and we were not pleased. The guests in the room next to ours were noisy, but not noisy enough to complain to the front desk or get our room moved. I had requested top floor if possible and did not get it. My husband and I had breakfast at the hotel and both got food poisoning. We believe it was the eggs & cheese, since that was the only item we both had. Needless to say, our drive home that day and the next was pretty dreadful.

Requested quite room ended up in room facing highway 3rd Fl very noisy with truck traffic. Requested room change they refused. A/c noisy and refrigerator noisy. They said no rooms available to change to. Checked Marriott website found 3 king beds rooms available after our check in.
