Breakfast was delicious!
My room was to be ready at 4 pm. When I attempted to check in at 6:30 pm the room was not ready. Pool was not open due to stormy weather.

great location and views. clean hotel and room. comfortable king bed. like the separate tub from shower in the bathroom
I don’t like when you pay a lot of money for a hotel and they charge you $65 for parking over night as a guest.

Hotel and room both very clean, super comfortable beds and very friendly staff. We used the valet service, and the entire team was great, our car was always ready when we requested it.
Bathroom lighting could be brighter, particularly by the sink area. Room service was more expensive than comparable hotels we have stayed at, I ordered what was thought to be a pot of coffee and received a single cup of coffee for the cost of at least 3 coffees at Starbucks.

The best feature of this hotel is the views of the river and parts of DC. The room was also sparkling clean. The managers were very responsive when we learned we had been given an incorrect room and were quick to solve the issue. They also sent a very nice gift to our room as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.
The check-in experience wasn't smooth: it appeared that my reservation had been cancelled and there was another one under my name that didn't match what I had paid for, ie, a premium King room with river view. We had to find this out after going up to our room and realizing it wasn't what we had paid for. Upon going back to the front desk I was able to inquire about the situation. I received a good response from one of the managers. We couldn't understand though what had happened with my original reservation. I didn't have any record of cancelling it, in fact, it had always shown up on my Booking app. Fortunately, they were able to immediately fix the situation and give us the room I had asked for.

My husband had breakfast and he said it was good. Breakfast was included and I was told for the four days we had $80 to spend on breakfast.
Beer selection on draft is kind of limited.

Customer service was outstanding. Marisse Wong is the assistant manager and she went far above and beyond to make our stay incredibly accommodating. Also, the security, valet, and food service staff were also excellent!
I'm a executive protection agent that travels with a CEO... we stay at many of the Top Line hotels all around the country and much to my surprise this one stood out Above the Rest. This property has figured out what's missing in the world. Good people! Other hotels like St Regis, Ritz etc have fancy designs but the staff is unremarkable.
We will definitely be staying at
The Intercontinental Washington DC The Wharf again and look forward to seeing Marisse Wong in the very near future.
Thank you for your outstanding service it is much appreciated
Nothing.... this place is the best!

Staying on the Warf was so amazing the views and other businesses to visit made a great experience. We arrived at 5:30am on a red-eye from Boise, ID. They got us checked in! Absolutely wonderful! If we saw an employee on the premises they introduced themselves and asked how we were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything. We received a text message every day to ask if we needed housekeeping or supplies.
I am not sure if this is applicable to the hotel, as I am not sure if the Moon Rabbit is affiliated or just attached. However, the two visits we made to the restaurant were so incongruous with the hotel experience that it was more shocking. The response from the staff was absurd we said we were interested in just a snack and refreshments. We were told not very politely that the tables in the restaurant were "reserved only for dinner" and the patio tables were "only for dinner guests". It was very confusing since we arrived after 8pm and more than 15 tables were unoccupied. If we "wanted to sit at the bar" (with no available seating) or "take our drinks and appetizers to another location within the hotel" we could..... we went somewhere else.
4.5
Location and the general collective of places and accommodations near and around the hotel. Staff was very helpful and generous with assistance. Beginning with the valet service parking our car. Moving onto check in. A minor qlich with check in but made well by the efficiency of the manager handling. An apology give for the slight delay. Due to our booking agent. We will return.
Elevator, very slow...room service cut off early at 10pm
