Great stay in a beautiful Inn!

Very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! Connie was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved her suggestions on places to visit in Freeport and on our way to Bar Harbor. Great stay!

New England at it best

Die Unterkunft lässt wirklich keinerlei Wünsche offen! Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, mit Kaffee und Kuchen begrüßt und in einem entzückenden Zimmer untergebracht. Die Einrichtung des ganzen Hauses ist bis zum letzten Tischdeckchen liebevoll ausgestattet. Heizung und Dusche funktionieren, es ist blitzsauber. Zum Frühstück gibt es leckerste Hausfrauenkost. Chapeau!

I wonderful respite for anyone looking to explore Freeport, Acadia, and other coastal adventures

I loved the hospitality, the historical building, the grounds, the location, the BREAKFAST (yum!), and the easy, close parking. It's wonderful that the property welcomes pets. Connie, the proprietor, is friendly, helpful, and a great host!

Enjoyed our stay at this historic old farm house.

Connie, the owner, was very welcoming and just wonderful. She showed us around and helped us check in around 8:30pm. Breakfast was delicious.

This is a charming historic restored old farm house, a quality that makes it very appealing. If you aren’t into an older farm house vibe, you might not like it.

Excellent in every way; beautiful home, comfortable bed, sumptuous breakfast, and shops nearby.

Our host was amazing, going above and beyond to make sure we connected when we had poor service and difficulty using our cell phone to communicate late arrival. Once there, the room was fantastic, the beds extra comfy, and breakfast outstanding. It was great to stay in a quiet location yet be able to walk to LL Bean in a few minutes, and wonderful to have such a welcoming location and hosts at the end of a long day. Thank-you!

Gem in downtown Freeport

Extremely clean and comfortable b&b. Hostess is on site and greeted us when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and filling and location is perfect for walking downtown. On a quiet street just off Main Street which is just right for a good night's sleep.

This was the perfect location for for visiting Freeport and exploring the surrounding coastal towns.

We loved staying in this authentic historical home. Our room was very comfortable but we also enjoyed having the use of the comfortable sitting room. The sitting room was the perfect place to enjoy a hot cup of tea while the morning sun lights up the room, or a relaxing place to gather in the evenings and meet the other guests. The home is within walking distance to downtown Freeport but tucked away a half block from Main street to be a quiet and serene place.

Authentic historical homes were not built with modern plumbing. The private bathroom worked very well for us. If you need a bathroom you can do cartwheels in, this is not the place for you.

Our visit to Freeport was punctuated by a great stay at Candle Bay Inn

the property is an historical site and thus has a great B and B experience. it is located within very easy walking to downtown Freeport and especially the LL Bean stores. the owner is helpful, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and took great care to ensure our stay at her B and B together with our visit to Freeport was memorable!

We were so close to the shops we could walk to them. My family and friends came to spend time together and Xmas shop. We

Connie was so warm and friendly. The Inn was very quaint and cozy. The breakfasts were delicious.

No complaints about anything except for my bed. it was a very firm mattress and I prefer a less firm. But everything else was great.

Cozy quiet spot minutes from Freeport attractions.

The location was great just steps away from everything in Freeport. Breakfast was excellent and our dietary needs were accommodated. Usually at hotels we can only eat plain whole fruit but we were offered a whole beautiful fruit salad with tea and everything. It was a real treat. The place was cozy and comfortable.

There was really nothing we didn’t like.

New England Charm with a lovely host and super breakfast. Felt very welcome and cared for. The room was very cozy (loved the candles ;-)) and had the best bed ever. A very hard mattress which made all my back pain go away in 1 night. Loved all the fall and Halloween decorations around the house and garden.

Lovely HISTORIC home, great location.

Excellent breakfast and snacks and tea/coffee available at all times. Connie, the proprietor, was extremely helpful, eager to please and readily available to all the guests, both upon arrival and in the AM during the breakfast hour.

This is a historic house, built in 1800's. for some, getting up the stairs would be difficult. Kind of pricey, but I really don't know what the comparables are.

Superb

Wonderful owner. Very friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfasts. Walking distances to all shops and dining in Freeport center.

I took my Mom who is 92. We had a 2nd floor room because I wanted 2 larger beds. Next time if I take Mom will get 1st floor room. Inn is a historic building so stairs are steeper than newer builds. Connie, the owner did tell me before coming that there were stairs to our reserved room.
