Loved the location. The bed was so comfortable!! Great bathroom
Very clean. The conversion into hotel rooms has been well done. The high ceilings were an added benefit.
The continental breakfast provided was very basic.
No safe in the room
Some guests may not enjoy the live music that plays from 9pm to 1am. We enjoyed it and it wasn’t too loud in our room for us to sleep.

Location. Location. Location. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Everything exceeded our expectations! The staff in the hotel and the on-site bar, especially Amanda, were beyond amazing and everyone made us feel at home with their hospitality. The neighborhood is super eclectic with lots of great people, great restaurants, and great music. This will be our go-to place for our yearly NOLA trip!
Live music from the local bars and the hotel lobby occur almost every night, so if you require a silent sleep, this won't be your place. However, we embraced being lured to sleep by the jazz music and the sounds of the neighborhood.

bien situé à proximité du French quarter
la musique dans le hall d’entree TOUS les soirs qui empêche de dormir avant 1h du matin

Excellent location, in a quieter area of French Quarter, facing a small park that was perfect for walking my dog and having some green space. Private gated parking was very handy and safe when traveling long distances with lots of luggage and gear. Several good local eateries and non-touristy music bars were within a few blocks. The best part is that the hotel is a known location for local highly talented musicians to have jam sessions in the lobby or right outside the hotel. The night I stayed featured 3 hours of live New Orleans style jazz, with several different top-notch trumpeters, pianists, bassists playing together and jamming to a small but truly appreciative audience.
Nothing!

The ambiance, staff, location, amenities! True NOLA! Music venues in the hotel and as soon as you walk out the front door.
The door on Room 227 was difficult to lock; housekeeping left the door open-must slam the door.

The location on Frenchmen Street was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated.
This is not the place to stay if you want an early night. There is live music in the bar on the ground floor most nights until 1am. This was very loud and kept me awake in my room on the 3rd floor. Also, the window in my room was up high, which I was expecting, but there was no way to raise the blind to let in daylight, which was disappointing.

It was a great stay. Noise was acceptable, room was clean, the courtyard is a great bonus to this place. The private parking was a big plus. Josh was great. Really took extra care with everyone. Tip my hat to the Royal Frenchman.
Bbq truck blocked the exit one night. But wasn't really bad. Just to go out the in gate.

Frenchmen street is the "cool" part of NOLA, however you can party here without being subjected to the terrible conditions of this hotel.
The hotel is in extreme disrepair, especially the AC / heater units whose filters have never been changed. Upon trying to lower the temp from 75 the unit began spitting clouds of moldy dust into the room which gave us a sinus infection and thus we were sick over the holidays. This could have been easily prevented, and shows that royal frenchmen doesn't care at all about maintaining their property or the health of their guests.
