Convenience of location.
We had multiple issues with our room and the front desk staff was unapologetic and unwilling to do anything about it (issues included air conditioning not working / outlets lost power over night / television that wouldn’t turn off)

Nice people, they allowed me to check in early as I’d taken red eye and just needed sleep. Comfy room
A fair bit of walking from parking lot to room.

The room and the hotel were fine. No complaint on these.
False advertising/incompetent front desk: the shuttle service was undependable. I booked this hotel because it claims to offer shuttle service to and from College Park Metro stop. I needed to work in the area and downtown. I also planned to take the MARC commuter train from College Park Metro to Baltimore. Because of an inflamed arthritis in my hip I would be very dependent upon the shuttle service. The first morning, Tuesday 25. April I was told there was nobody present to drive the shuttle, but if I waited 5-10 minutes the manager would drive me. OK - no problem. I learned also that shuttle service back from the Metro station stops by mid-afternoon. To get back to the hotel I managed to get a ride on the Univ of Maryland shuttle bus from the Metro. Being a professor and looking like one, I was not questioned for an UM ID. I had to walk from campus 10 minutes but OK. Wednesday morning went well. Thursday I needed to get to downtown and had limited time for my work. I was told I would have to wait 5-10 minutes for the shuttle to return. After 20 minutes I was told it was soon coming - road construction causing delays. First after 45 minutes, it returned. The driver gave a different reason for the delay. I could have called an Uber. I explained to the gentleman at the front desk that on Friday I had to take the last morning train to Baltimore at 8:12 AM. He reassured me three times that there will be no problem as there would be extra personnel behind the desk and if necessary one of them could drive me. When I came down 7:20 I learned the driver had not yet arrived; nobody was available to drive me. He should be coming soon. I could have ordered an Uber or taxi. When it appeared that time was running out, the person behind the desk said she would call a taxi. But it was raining. And no taxi came. I missed the train. I called an Uber to take me to Union Station. It cost an extra $35 and I lost over almost two hours of work time.

Too expensive

Many options nearby for food and things to do
There was trash left underneath the cabinets, it was obvious instead of replacing the tissues they just added a couple more on top of the stack. Hopefully the rooms are cleaned correctly

Everything about this Hotel was great. Location was great right across the straight from the main entrance to UM and those so many places to choose to eat from. Room was great and comfortable.
They didn't have Breakfast lol. there is nothing really not to like about this hotel. I just know next time we visit we will be getting a Suite or maybe a connected room.

good indoor pool, good size rooms. good indoor pool and facilities. Cleaning staff very friendly. Quiet room.
Gloomy, old looking and unfriendly dark interior design. rug looks like a murder scene. lobby furniture could use some loving care. weird dystopian color schemes and bad art everywhere. nowhere to eat other than a half day bagel joint and a pizza restaurant. we were there in the coldest of days and although the area has lots of restaurants there were none open near us that we could comfortably walk to.A new restaurant opened in the lobby during our stay, it is very overpriced.
we asked for a working television remote, stayed 12 days. Never addressed. cleaning crews nice but not good. we only requested cleaning twice and the room was still filled with dust. we extended our stay for an additional 4 nights
expected a discount for a long stay, none offered.
parking was not free.
there was a false alarm call at 3am. ran out into the cold from the fourth floor with blaring sirens and repeated warnings. arrived outside in freezing temperatures only to find no one at the exit to tell us what to do. we didn’t know whether we need ed to run from the building or wait for instructions. please note that my husband and I are in our 70’s. we hustled around the building to the lobby entrance to find people milling around and given no info as to what was happening. the woman at the front desk was just awful to people. as if she was put out. Finally we are told that we can return to our rooms. unfortunately the alarm siren and voice commands were blasting in our room so it was back down to the lobby (4am) to wait for the fire department to turn the alarm off. not once did the staff even offer us water, or some hot tea or anything! the lobby was cold and there didn’t seem like one sympathetic person around.

Nice new hotel with big modern rooms.
Reception staff were particularly unhelpful, cold and unfriendly for no apparent reason. Also, I stayed for 5 nights and my room didn't get cleaned once.

Clean, not as up to date as I expected.
The walk from the parking garage, park on 4th floor of garage, you must go down to lobby walk across the building then go back up to the floor of your room.

Hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. Good area to stay in. I was worried about it being crowded due to the location of it being so close to a college campus but that was not a problem. Room was very spacious and bathroom was very elegant with a lovely shower. Indoor pool was a plus.
The only minor complaint I had is that the tv is very standard and doesn’t have Bluetooth connection, but that’s only if your interested in watching anything other than standard cable with only a few channels. I live in DC so I just went back home and grabbed my fire stick, but other than that everything else was perfect.
