It was clean and in good condition. The property being pet friendly was important to us, because this was a family vacation.
Just 1 TV in a house that sleeps 8.

Loved the location, WIFI and community pool. Big bathrooms and nice showers. The walk to the beach was so nice. Beach was super clean and not overcrowded.
This house was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival we were met with ants covering the kitchen counters and inside cabinets. The house was also filthy. It didn't look like it had even been cleaned. Our feet were black from taking our shoes off outside to keep the house clean, but there was no point. This was not how we wanted to start off our vacation. We called Vacasa about the ants and dirty house but no one was available to come. So, we had to kill the ants and clean them up ourselves as well as buy cleaning supplies to clean the entire house. Sand on all the couches, pet hair and dust everywhere including all air vents. Vacasa did offer to refund the cleaning fee due to the inconvenience and we appreciated that. No chairs on the front porch. As for comfort, the king size beds were so hard. We had to go buy a blow up mattress and sleep on it the rest of our trip. Couldn't use the TV. There was no remote for satellite. The kitchen was ridiculous. Food was still left on pots and pans. We had to wash them all. Utensils were limited, only a few forks and knives, had to buy some. No drinking glasses, we had to buy those as well. The oven was scary. Looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. We book vacation homes frequently, and this by far was the worst. If you like a clean home and sleep, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Keep your money and look elsewhere.

We really enjoyed the location and the fact that we were not crowded with beach goers. Guests at this subdivision really did a great job at social distancing and respecting everyone's space while on the beach.
Where do I begin? The list of dislikes is very long. First of all, chairs on the front porch would be nice but they are not included so bring your own chairs if you want to enjoy the view. Second, the king size beds are so hard that it is impossible to get a good night's rest. Everyone was trying to sleep on the sofa because the mattresses are hard as a rock. No lie, I sat down on the bed and it did not sink at all. If you try to sleep on the bunk beds, the top right squeaks with every turn. If you manage to climb up to the top bunk on the left, well good luck getting down because the hook on the ladder is broken and you cannot climb down. Major safety issue. Third of all, the picnic table is broken and unusable. The grill is dirty and rusted and has a hole in the bottom of it. We had to try to cover the hole with foil to grill our dinner. It was ridiculous! These are just the major issues. Add in the fact that the only TV in house does not have a remote for the Xfinity box so we could not keep track of the upcoming storms (Marco and Laura). The bathroom door in the master bedroom won't close because the transition is not level to the floor so closing the door from the inside is impossible. The kitchen has all of the utensils thrown in the drawers with not even a dollar store organizer. There are not enough utensils to match the 8 pc plate set but only 4 coffee cups, no drinking glasses, and not even the basic kitchen necessities (cutting board, strainer, knife set, etc.). Also, half of the beds had blankets and pillows while the other half did not. No extra sets were in the closets either. We called Vacasa upon arrival at 4 pm and were told that they would bring them before bedtime. Well that did not happen. I even called back in the morning to let them know no one showed up. Overall, we were highly disappointed. This was the worse stay I have ever had at Galveston.
