what I liked about the property was that the views were incredible, the staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were nicely designed. The cleaning service was great, they came twice a day, the second time to do the turn down service. The golf cart transportation to local areas was nice.
what I didn't like about the property was that there were only two restaurants, the menus were limited, it didn't really appear to be authentic Costa Rican food or I just didn't like the flavors of what I ordered. It was nice that breakfast was included but since it was not all inclusive, I didn't like that. Nothing in the room was included like the mini bar; all that was extra, I also didn't like that. There was no TV. The Wi-Fi was terrible unless you were in the restaurant area. The transportation to the resort was almost double the price as regular transportation. The property wasn’t handicap assessable because of all of the steps. That didn’t apply to me, but it was an observation.

The staff was so nice, the breakfast was amazing, the dinner was amazing, the sunsets and the infinity pool was so perfect!
They didn’t have yoga on Sunday. Me & my husband did it on Saturday and loved it. We were so excited to do yoga again there

private villa was wonderful, amazing views, good breakfast, helpful staff
property was too isolated, no tv in room, too expensive for experience, lunch and dinner had limited options and overpriced, bad experience with room (cool food, directed to old menu online), concierge app was not consistently working

The location is miraculous. A beautiful hotel perched on the top of an oceanic peninsula.
Access to town difficult, but they manage it so perfectly with easy trips in golf cart with amazing staff.

Breakfast was very good and dinner was exceptional. The room is one of the most beautiful we ever been. The private pool with the marvelous views on the bay are stunning. Ariel gave us the best service ever. As it is adults only the hotel is very quiet.
There is no Gym. Not many options to dine in the area, though the hotel restaurant is great!

I liked the view.
I didn’t like how the staff came and saw me naked in the shower… twice… the staff was also unprofessional. there were design flaws like steps not being lit up at night… and rocks in the lobby…

Beautiful room, view and friendly staff

the ocean front view
no cold cart service to the villas. The little town is cute but really not a lot going on. One good restaurant and that’s about it. If you are going to just relax this is your place

Ambience is phenomenal! Staff were so attentive and special! Food was great!
This was one of the best properties I have stayed at in the world. It’s small boutique feel that made everything so special!
More hooks on walls to hang items…but that is all room is beautiful!

the staff were so friendly and could not have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. the location is exquisite and the views just sublime. I usually find hotels like this a bit pretentious but the atmosphere was lovely and chilled, with music playing around the pool. the pool is so lovely- it was hard to pull ourselves away.
nothing

Amazing views and infinity pool area, with great cocktails and a really fun vibe. The rooms are superb, beautifully decorated and each has its own pool. We opted for one on the sunrise side and it has beautiful views - you can see the sunset from the main pool area. Breakfasts are delicious, and the in-room spa service is great (you can also get a hotel buggy town for more spa treatments). William at the front desk is exceptional, and helped us with so many requests throughout our stay.
We also did an incredible trip to Palo Verde while we stayed here, to go on a boat tour. We saw more animals (crocodiles, capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, white-nosed coatis, herons etc) there than anywhere else in our 2 week trip to Costa Rica.
Though the breakfasts are excellent, lunch and dinner food could be a little better. Some things on the menu are really delicious though, especially the grilled prawns and the rib-eye steak.

This is an exceptional hotel in every way. The views, the room, the facilities are all incredible. even with a private pool on our terrace overlooking the bay we still used the main pool sometimes, it’s just stunning. but what outshines even the perfection of the surroundings is the staff. They manage to mix a casual familiarity with the utmost professionalism and they’re all just lovely people. They went above and beyond on numerous occasions, just a brilliant stay and we can’t wait to come back

Just exceptional
Breakfast - for such a hotel and such prices, not having a buffet and only limiting each person to one plate, this is unacceptable

Great hotel with amazing views. Beautiful swimming pool and sunset. Food was great too
No cancellation possible. It felt risky during Covid, especially for the amount paid

Wow where can I start!! First time to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and we stayed Casa chameleon for 4 days and it was SPECTACULAR. We were first greeted with warm smiles and brought a refreshing coconut and swiftly brought to our private suite, awaiting a champagne and chocolate strawberries our own amazing plunge pool overlooking the beautiful ocean! All the staff go up and beyond for all their guests! All the food is divine! it is a very romantic getaway for a special occasion…and I’d stay during a Tuesday or Friday you must try to the cost Rican barbecue held by their executive chef, trust me it is life changing but come with an empty stomach!! 😄thank you Casa for making our honeymoon so special! we can’t wait to visit again soon!!

Beautiful resort and location. The closest town Las Catalinas is less than a mile (down a very large hill) and is a very charming. All the villas are the same and nothing better than having your own plunge pool after walking up the hill from the beach.
There were some issues with transportation. Besides being very expensive to get anywhere they ended up forgetting and leaving us stranded during one of our trips to town. Missed dinner but more drinks for us!

It’s absolutely my favorite place to stay, I travel all around the world and I have never experienced anything like Casa Chameleon. From the immediate tranquility that you feel when you step in due to the design and simplicity of decor. To the most outstanding staff, that want to pamper you. Everyone made me feel at home, knew my name and preferences. Food is absolutely phenomenal, everything is made with love. Just superb in every possible way. And the best sunset I’ve ever seen.

The staff were amazingly helpful and kind. The views were spectacular, every room had its own plunge pool, perfect for Covid travel or otherwise. Food at Sentido Norte was lovely, the views there also spectacular.
The stairs are rough in the heat, but unavoidable if you are building structures hillside like they have here, that creates the ambiance and 360 views.
