The hotel is in a lovely garden setting, within easy walking distance to both great restaurants and the beach. The staff was lovely to everyone we saw them interact with on our stay. the little breakfast restaurant on site is good and reasonably priced. The AC worked well enough to keep us cool during the very hot month of May.
The room and shower were a little in need of updating.

This hotel is perfect! The staff are wonderful and so friendly, the location is perfect for the hidden gem beach of Puerto Escondido, and it is so easy to walk or take a taxi to other parts. There are some really great restaurants and coffee spots right behind the hotel, and very quick to the airport.
Highly recommend, feels very safe and the garden is gorgeous. The room was clean and so well set up. Bed VERY comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and hot water shower available. Loved it all. Stay here!

This is a quiet place and area.
Near playa Carrizalillo (169 steps to get there and crowded, foreigners and surfers mainly) and Puerto Angelito (idem but no surfers, more families).
This is a nice and small hotel. There is no TV at the rooms and need to pay for the air conditioning (200MXN per day, around 10 euros per day).
Simple bedroom: a big bed, a small table and a chair. There is no closet but a bar with 4 hangers.
Too expensive for a bed and breakfast hotel (breakfast is available under payment)

This hotel was a good choice for us, as we wanted to stay near Carrizalillo beach.
- the location is perfect - it’s super close to the nicest beach in town, at the same time close to great restaurants and you get the chilled holiday vibe as soon as you arrive
- The room was nice, generally clean and the unexpected AC was a big plus
- Friendly people
- Comfortable big bed
- Beautiful garden, you can see the the gardener is working night and day
- I think they should invest in new towels once in a while, towels looked and felt very, very old and frayed (though clean)
- Even though the letter in the bathroom says you can get towels exchanged, we wouldn’t (cleaning staff would just pick them off the floor again and hang them outside)
- There was no towel rack or any place to hang the towels to dry inside, which should definitely be there considering the towels are going to be reused for multiple days
- also, proper beach towels would be great
I think it’s fine if they don’t do towel exchange, but they should communicate it clearly.

The location of the place is very good. There are a lot of cool restaurants in walking distance as well as the beach. The property is well maintained and has a lovely garden. The breakfast at the restaurant is so good!
The bathroom smelt really bad and it was not possible to get rid of the smell. The staff was pretty unfriendly. The Wifi is bad also. All in all it’s not food value for your money!

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. My girlfriend and I arrived with terrible food poisoning and they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Especially Delfina, she was super lovely and looked after us! The breakfast was also fantastic

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They made a birthday cake for my boyfriend, which was delicious and thank you for this!
The garden is beautiful and it is in walking distance from the beach.
The WiFi was not working in de room and there was no hot water in de shower.

Great place as close to Playa Carrizalilo beach as you can get, was only a 5 minute walk to the steps. We had the bungalo room which was great! A very nice large room very well decorated. The staff was very nice and we both liked the people who worked there. The grounds of the little hotel were beautiful and our bungalo felt like it was in the middle of a tropical jungle.
The bungalo room didn't have A/C so it was hot the first night, but much better the second night. There's a nice ceiling fan and big windows so the room doesn't get super hot. But you get to hear the birds in the morning.
The room was great but I'd request a couple more bed pillows. There were decorative pillows but just 1 pillow for each person to sleep on, which weren't super comfy.

I liked the location, extremely short walk to the beach literally down the street. Staff and breakfast was great.

The only thing was that the room was very hot, the fan helped but not so much.

Hotel villa Mozart & Macondo was lovely! it’s walking distance to dreamy carrizalillo beach. it’s also walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in rinconada! the hotel is filled with beautiful plants. the breakfast was delicious-definitely one of the best meals we had on our whole trip! the beds were very comfortable! the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Delfi was so sweet and good to us!! ❤️
The king bungalow is beautiful but it did get noisy at night because there are many birds that live in the area. however, the other rooms are much more quiet

Very nice and well kept garden with beautiful plants, gorgeous birds and hammocks. There's outdoor seating for breakfast, which is lovely too. The room was basic but nice, and the AC worked well. Bring something for you ears at night, it's noisy. Some of the staff (Delfina, Ariana) speak English and are very helpful.
The Wifi doesn't work and there could have been a bit more leniency about the check-out time since the room was only cleaned hours after I was asked to give back the keys (and it wasn't very busy). Be also aware that there's not someone onsite 24/24, which is not very convenient to leave your luggage.

The jungle like garden is very pretty.
There were no windows on the wall of the room, only a mosquito net. So we could hear the garden workers were talking loud from 5 am in the morning.

Delphi (sp) had excellent customer service and was very kind, other staff members weren't as nice. Location is fantastic for Carrizalillo beach.
Most of the stay was incredibly uncomfortable. The hotel only provided one incredibly thin sheet like "beach towel" for our use on the beach, despite being a 2 person reservation. When we asked for an extra, they refused. Additionally, after our first day on the beach we requested extra bath towels because ours had been soaked from our showers and we were told NO, and that they would only give us new ones every 2 days (which they didn't end up doing, the second set was the last set we received). This is a beach town!!! You are sandy and salty and showering every single day and they refused their guests any additional clean/dry towels! Further, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, with concrete like pillows and NO comforter, blanket, or quilt. The sheet was topped with some form of mosquito net material and did nothing to keep you warm or comfortable at night. General lack of availability of staff throughout the day when you could need things, horrific wifi, etc. Many, many more cons than pros.

Hotel Villa Mozart y Macondo was the the best Hotel so far on our Mexico trip. The lovely garden with hammocks is great to chill and the restaurant serves delicious breakfast.
The hotel is located close to the road Benita Juárez with many restaurants and small shops and to the Beach Carrizalillo.
Furthermore Angelica is a great Host. She gave us a map with many recommendations for our stay :)

Great location - very close to 2 different amazing beaches (Playa Carrizalillo & Playa Bacocho)! Also very close to a busy area of restaurants and bars for different tastes as well.
The staff was very helpful and kind during the breakfast, upon cleaning times. Angelica planned for us a visit to the amazing pool bar (Cocos bar)next to beach Bacocho! Thanks for that!
the shower water was not warm because the boiler was located in a very distant location from our room and probably already consumed by other rooms? Luckily the weather was warm enough to be able to have a comfy shower.
