From booking to arrival so straightforward and staggeringly easy. The photo of the outside is litterally what you see on arrival...superb accommodation, fantastic friendly service, location - perfect for our family! We'd book again in a heartbeat! Thank you Richard and Angela!

Lovely two weeks spent at this villa, with privacy and all essentials close by. We had a car and could park at the villa directly.

My brother and I stayed at this perfect villa for Christmas.
The split en suite bedroom layout was perfect. The villa was clean, comfortable and more than enough open space for us.
The location was wonderful. The villa is set in a small community of others around pool area. Was peaceful and quiet. It’s a short walk to the beach and lonestar restaurant.
Highly recommend staying here !! And looking forward to coming back!!
The owners were wonderful too!!

The most wonderful holidays
It's a place to be! It was our first time in Barbados and staying at Angela & Richard's place only added to the great experience we had. The property is perfectly located - easy walking distance to bus stops and the beach. If you have a car, you can get to the city centre and to a fish market very quickly. The property itself is clean, cosy and everything you need for your stay is there. All you need to do is get some groceries. Breakfasts and dinners on the veranda are perfect. I could go on and on and on... Anyway, I couldn't recommend this place more! Book it quickly and enjoy your getaway.

A wonderful holiday
We loved our time at Porters Court... the property is exactly as described, it is a really charming little house in a great area with easy access to the local beaches and beach bars. The swimming pool is great too and really convenient being right on the doorstep of the property itself. We stayed there with our 16month old daughter and it was ideal being able to relax poolside while she was asleep!
All of the amenities were great and whilst we decided not to get a car, the busses go from the main road and are very frequent. Holetown is a short distance one way and Speightstown the other way. There are great local options for food with the Lonestar just over the road and Juma's a little further on. And there is also a lovely patisserie a 10min walk towards Holetown.
The hosts were great and arranged a light shopping list for us so that we had food upon arrival. Communication was really good throughout and Tonya the house-keeper saved us when Virgin Atlantic left our travel cot at Heathrow(!)... she managed to get us another cot at really short notice which really was a life-saver! Maxine the housekeeper is also great and our little girl took a real shine to her.
Overall we loved it and were already discussing our next visit before we left! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed...

I highly recommend this property
My family rented this beautiful house over this past Christmas. The house itself is just lovely, the decor is stylish, everything has been carefully thought out and there is nothing you will want for.
The owners are super friendly and helpful, really fast at getting back to you should you have any questions. The house keeper Maxine is so sweet and also made our stay really seamless and wonderful.
In short I can’t say enough nice things about this property… absolutely a 10 out of 10! We will be renting it again. It’s perfect!

Holiday under covid
The villa is nice and in a very quiet area.
We would probably have enjoyed it more had we not been under quarantine rules. This restricted us a lot.
We were frustrated that we couldn’t sit by the pool, which was 6 steps away from our patio and there was no one else around.
Social distancing could easily have been put in place. If we had known this beforehand, we would have booked a villa with a private pool. There is only shade to sit in if you are a sun worshipper, and you are stuck in that for 5 days.
It is a pretty property though and handy to all you need, once you escape quarantine.
We didn’t see or hear the property manager, other than once we needed to contact her. A check in call would have been appreciated.
Little overpriced for what you get.

The perfect home away from home
We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The location was perfect - just a couple of mins walk to the beach. There is a lovely bakery just along the road as well as a small grocery store. Lonestar is a lovely restaurant for eating and there are a few others on the beach which are great for something less formal such as Ju Jus. You can hire comfy beach beds and umbrellas from Rico at the beach.
Holetown is just a few mins by car and has a supermarket and lots more places to eat. We would recommend Tides for a special night out.
The house itself has everything you would need and is extremely comfortable. We spent nearly all of our time when we were home on the veranda or at the lovely pool which us literally five steps from this property! Richard and Angela were excellent hosts and the information pack we received in advance was the most comprehensive we have seen in over 30 years of staying at vacation rentals. They also arranged shopping to be delivered to us since we were in quarantine for a couple of days on arrival.
All in all, just the perfect home away from home, in a wonderful location! We hope we get the chance to return to Barbados and we would definatrly stay here again!

Outstanding Accommodation with everything you could need
Location was great, really handy for the beach. No need to take anything with you apart form flip flops and shorts etc. as everything is provided. Perhaps your favorite tea bags. Beach is very nearby. Supermarket & Restaurants near by - a short bus ride away (regular service) or better yet get a hire car and explore the whole island as we did. Also useful for getting to and from Supermarket & Restaurants (not absolutely necessary but handy). Food prices similar to Uk although wine more expensive as imported and needs to be shipped to the island. Local Beers and produce on a par with UK. Fruit & Veg actually tastes like fruit and veg. really nice. Overall great place to stay and well looked after. Site Manager always available on the end of a phone and correspondence with owner excellent.

Wonderful property and amazing vacation!
Sandy Lodge was even better than we expected! From day 1 the villa was spotlessly clean and beautiful. It was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 young adult boys. Rooms are spacious, and the amenities were very well appointed. Location was excellent, a very short walk to a beautiful beach and restaurants. Richard and Angela provided excellent information which we used everyday. We tried out many of the restaurant suggestions and drove to many of the beaches recommended in their guide. Tonya was also wonderful as a property manager, and we would highly recommend it! We would recommend you hire a car if you are adventurous and would like to see the island. We especially loved the great cuisine in the Island and even went to Oistin's fish fry on our last night. Thank you so much for making our stay in Barbados a truly memorable one, and Happy New Year!!

Superb
Family of 4 - everyone was happy!
Beautiful house - very well equipped in quiet / safe area - everything was there: lovely terrace for dining or sitting in shade, great pool with sun loungers & cushions, couple of minutes walk to beach, restaurants / beach bars close, near transport if you don’t want to hire a car, and really good WiFi! Perfect really.

Porter’s Lodge
A very well equipped and well maintained property on a lovely small, private complex ideally placed for exploring the island. Richard was very helpful before and during our stay. I would thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to come back.

Couldn't have asked for better !
We just recently spent 2 weeks at this property. My wife & I traveled with 2 teenage girls and we had a superb time
Communication from the owner prior to arrival was first class - always answering any queries and providing an excellent information pack
We made use of the transfers available to & from the airport as well as ordering some groceries on arrival to help us settle in quickly & stop us having to go shopping straight away - both of these options helped as we didn't hire a car & made use of the local buses (get the yellow ones as they're fantastic experience)
The house itself was excellent, really well maintained and equipped with basically anything you could think of. We cooked in several nights and made good use of the fantastic wrap around porch . Something we made great use of was the small cool box provided which we used most days for the beach - excellent item to have and saved us quite a few £ by being able to make a lunch and bring it with us to the beach several different times
The pool beside the property is literally half a dozen steps from the porch and we practically had this to ourselves most days we used it - this is a very quiet gated community which felt safe & secure and is only 5/10 minute walk to a beautiful local beach
On the local beach we spent many lazy days - the girls used the Jet Ski's a few times and we made use of the local JuJu's beach shack which served cold beer, great cocktails & lovely food. Water was beautiful and the beach is big enough for a decent walk but also quiet enough to just chill out
We ate out a few times in Holetown (about 5 minutes in the local bus) and this is a nice small village / town feel about it and the locals are extremely friendly & helpful. We also took a Catermaran cruise on Calabaza - amazing day out that was
When we return we would potentially hire a car (maybe even for a few days) so we can drive to a more reasonably priced supermarket to stock up as the local supermarkets are quite expensive and you physically need ID to use your credit card in Massys - so make sure to bring it with you if going there !
Overall this was a truly great trip with the property and location playing a major part. We loved staying here and would 100% return if able to at some stage in the future
Thanks again for having us Richard / Angela - you've a fantastic property and we hope to be back soon !

We had a Great time!
Good location, short walk to the beach. Early June is a slow time. Not many people on the beaches. Was not crowded at all the entire week. The information packet we were sent was very helpful! Hope to come back in the future.

May 2019
The property was just as described, there was everything you could need to make it feel like home. It was clean and well maintained, we were four adults, there was ample space and it was well equipped. It was a good location to visit all areas of the Island, bus stop near and plenty of restaurants. Pool area and gardens were clean and tidy. We all had a fabulous holiday.

Excellent Barbados rental in great West Coast location (Porters, St James Parish)
First, you cannot beat the location. Easy walk to the the beach. Minutes from Holetown, which has everything you may need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, ATM, etc). Gated rental was nice, clean, quiet, and well pointed (especially kitchen). Worked great for our family of 4, as the king bed could be easily split into two twins. The pool was also a great bonus for the kids, and a relaxing swim in the late afternoon. We enjoyed the complimentary Mt. Gay Rum, along with the bread treat. Tonya gave us a nice welcome upon arrival, along with a review of the villa and amenities, and a few activities to consider during our stay. I recommend this rental, and plan to visit again in the future.

Amazing villa in a beautiful setting
What a wonderful week we had in the beautiful Sandy Lodge! We knew it was going to be good when we received the holiday information guide from the owners a couple of weeks before our arrival, but the villa was beyond all of our expectations.
Sandy Lodge is situated in idyllic beachside setting. It is a 2 mins walk to the most beautiful beach I’ve been to! Plenty of cool bars and restaurants are also just a few mins walk down a little private path.
The villa itself is very well maintained, spacious and beautifully laid out with a wonderful outdoor swimming pool. The beds are very spacious and comfortable, more than enough space to store your luggage and clothes and fully air conditioned. There’s a cute verandah with a BBQ– perfect to grill the catch of the day. It also comes with a complimentary bottle of rum which is always a nice welcome gift!
Angela and Richard were extremely professional, friendly and helpful before and during our stay. They made sure we had the most relaxing holiday and helped us with the planning (e.g. table reservations, car hires and activities recommendations).
I could not recommend Sandy Lodge highly enough to others – look no further if you’re travelling to Barbados!

Charming Villa
Great villa only 5 minutes from the beach. Best stocked kitchen I have ever stayed at and since we love to eat in it was great. Plenty of covered area to sit outside and enjoy meals and drinks after touring the island or back from the beach. Will stay again on our next trip.

Bajan Paradise
I visited 4 Porters Court with friends. It was literally, and I mean literally, the most beautiful holiday I have ever been on. The beaches in Barbados are like no other, a paradise picture postcard, I’m generally very scared about going into the sea, but it is so clear in Barbados that I felt so at ease.
It wasn’t just a holiday, it was an experience. Everyday we did was something new, from fishing and barbecuing our catch, to having cocktails at The Lone Star (a must!)
The villa itself was so gorgeous and had plenty of space, both rooms were double and en suite which was fantastic for when you need that bit of privacy. The owner obviously has great taste as the place was decorated so well. It had literally EVERYTHING we needed with all pots, pans and utensils... only thing missing was a garlic crusher which I think was for the best anyway ;)
We also did some great activities while away; we went on the Cool Runnings cruise which I would highly recommend, and food was brilliant too. We also did a rum tour at Mount Gay; disclaimer Do not do it on a hangover!
All in all: amazing villa and holiday and I will definitely be back!

Slice of Heaven
Wow, what an incredible holiday. The villa was beyond perfection, situated in the most ideal location, accessible to everything we wanted to do and a stone throw from the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen.
We absolutely loved our stay at Sandy Lodge, Angela and Richard have made it a perfect environment to relax in after a long day in the sun and the beds were SO comfortable! The free bottle of Rum and the Coconut bread upon our arrival were greatly appreciated after the long flight too!
Porters Court is gated which we loved, although everywhere seems safe anyway.
We lived by the handbook provided and visited so many amazing locations and restaurants, thanks to Angela and Richards recommendations.
We couldn’t fault a single thing and will be recommending Sandy Lodge to all our friends who visit Barbados in the future.
Thank you so much!!

Perfect from start to finish!
We (two couples) had a wonderful 7 night trip to Barbados in October, staying at the beautiful Sandy Lodge. It’s difficult to not write War and Peace on how much we loved the villa, I will try and keep it short.
4 Sandy Lodge is the pick of the 8 villas on the private gated estate. The villa is one of three which sits beside the private pool, making a quick dip or a long day sunbathing really easy. Although the pool is a shared one, over the course of the week we had it to ourselves every day. We spent quite a while trying to work out which of the two rooms is the master bedroom, both are a great size and have beautiful walk in showers.
The location of the villa on the island is also brilliant as it is so close to the breathtaking beach (a 3 minute walk) and most of the top restaurants on the island. We hired a car to get around the island and we were very pleased to see the guide that the owners had put together to help us explore.
When you stay in a villa there are generally a number of things that it doesn’t come with which can get annoying the longer you stay. Sandy Lodge is better equipped than my house. We could have stayed for 3 months and I don’t think we would have needed to take anything more than clothes to wear. One of our favourite things about the villa is the outdoor dining area and BBQ. We spent a few nights just staying in and playing cards, drinking and eating on the veranda.
We will 100% return, hopefully very soon!
Thanks

Gorgeous Villa at 4 Porters Court
We had the most fantastic stay at Porters Court. The villa is gorgeous, spacious rooms and lovely décor. The complex is great as well, in a gated community, with a nice pool and only a short walk from the beach. We were looked after by the hosts from the moment we booked and they made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend the Lone Star for cocktails and dinner which is in walking distance or Tides in Holetown (5 minute drive). We stayed here with another couple but the villa would be perfect for families also.
We will most definitely visit again. Thanks again!

Fabulous villa in idyllic location
My family had a wonderful stay in this fabulous villa and cannot praise it highly enough.
This was our first visit to Barbados and the owners could not have been more helpful prior to our visit. They were happy to provide general advice and arrange an airport transfer - important for us as being a family of 5 we cannot get a regular taxi!!
The villa is ideally situated in the small, secure development of Porters Court just 5 minutes from Alleynes Bay - one of the most popular beaches in Barbados. There are a couple of lovely beach bars and restaurants within an easy 5 minute walk and Holetown is just a short bus ride away with a wider selection of amenities.
The Villa itself is amazing and can only be described as a real home from home. The owners take a real pride in the accommodation which is beautifully presented and equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. We especially loved the shared pool (which we more or less had to ourselves) and the beautiful verandah with barbecue for relaxing evenings.
We are so glad we found this lovely villa in beautiful Barbados and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Fabulous holiday villa close to beach
We stayed for four wonderful weeks in this villa. It is an exceptional property in an excellent location just a short stroll to an amazing beach with sunbeds, bars/cafes and just down the road from Lonestar. The bus stops close by in either direction to take you off to Holetown and Speightstown.
The Villa is bright, well furnished and maintained to a very high standard, very comfortable and extremely well equipped with air conditioning throughout. It shares a beautiful glistening pool with 7 other properties that is rarely busy. The outside veranda is lovely and perfect for relaxing and dining where we enjoyed many evenings sipping cocktails and barbequing our dinner!
The owners were very helpful, easy to contact and provided great info during the booking process to enhance our holiday. Agnes, the property manager, is on hand for your arrival and anytime during your stay if you need her.
We have stayed in many different properties in Barbados over the years and this has to be our favourite. Fabulous!! Overall a fantastic place to stay and we have already rebooked for our next visit.

Sandy Lodge Porters Court is just Perfect - first of all it is luxury - sometimes you see this word used about accommodation and it isn't but at Sandy Lodge Porters Court it is Luxury. Everything has been considered to make guests feel special, welcome and comfortable - classy interior design, comfortable beds, lovely bed linen and fat fluffy towels! The property is very pretty and has a wonderful veranda set up for for lazy breakfasts or sipping sundowners in the warm, soft Bajan breeze - I watched a humming bird in the tropical flowers while I had my local Rum and Coke! The pool is only steps away from the Villa which is great to cool down and sunbathe. The location is fantastic - the picture perfect pretty villa is surrounded by tropical plants and flowers and is in a small, quiet, gated community. The treat is that after just 4 minutes - you are sinking your toes into the warm, powder white sand with the waves lapping at your feet. This closest beach has a number of restaurants and bars as well as lots of fun water sports which are all good. We hired a car so that we could travel around the Island and the suggestions and notes in the Welcome Guide where all perfect suggestions from the owners who know the Island well - On a practical note the property has parking, a Gas BBQ, a TV with lots of channels and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a really useful laundry room so it really was like having our own luxury home in the Sun
We will be back as soon as we can and we will stay longer next time.
Thank you for creating such a special place.
We would like to give it Six Stars but we were only given five!

Wonderful family break
Our family of five enjoyed 10 days at Sandy Lodge and enjoyed every moment. The villa is very well equipped and benefits from a great location on the west coast, close to great beaches and easy access to the rest of the beautiful island.

Fabulous!
We have just returned from two weeks staying at Sandy Lodge. We had a great holiday staying in this fabulous villa.
The villa was spotlessly clean, tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and very well equipped. We spent much of our time on the verandah either relaxing or dining. The verandah faces the pool area, had a gas BBQ and is comfortably furnished. The en suite bedrooms are a generous size, with lots of storage and there's good powerful shower in the bathroom.
Sandy Lodge is a 4 min walk from a beautiful sandy beach and 1 minute from the bus stop. We found the buses to be an easy and fun way to explore the island. Bars, restaurants ( notably The Lone Star) and shops are very easily accessible.
The villa is in a development called Porters Court. This is a small development with 7 other villas, has pretty gardens, is very well kept, clean and felt very safe.
The owners are easy to communicate with and very helpful.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful, well located villa - then look no further. This is the perfect choice!
