Location, view, and apartment were all
Fantastic

Great location, only a short walk down to the beach and all of the shops and restaurants. The shared balcony was a lovely place to sit in the evenings. Marco the host was amazing and went out of his way to tell us all about Monterosso and the best places for everything we could need. We also got caught up in a train strike and Marco went above and beyond to help us make it to our next destination!

Love it! It was clean and super close to restaurants

The property we stayed at is located in the ‘new’ part of Monterosso- it’s a short flat walk from the train and has a large indoor communal lounge area (I think there are only 3 or 4 rooms here). the communal outdoor space was a highlight and we did our own breakfast and afternoon Aperols out there looking at the beach and water.
it’s across the road from the beach area and our room had beach views.
Marco who manages the property is a very helpful & likeable young man and was very happy to provide advice on the area.
This property requires traversing 2 sets of stairs (~40 steps) which wasn’t a big deal for us (and Marco helped on checkin) but this may be a problem for those with reduced mobility.

The location is incredible. Also the room was bigger than expected. The bathroom was really nice too!
The checkin was a little confusing to get to but Marco carried my massive duffel for me which was really sweet.

10/10 does not begin to capture the incredible experience my now fiancé and I had at the affittacamere lo scoglio guesthouse.
The room was spacious, clean, and adorably decorated with modern accommodations such as a mini fridge and automatic blinds and a large comfortable bed. There was nothing more amazing than waking up and looking out our window at the ocean which was truly just a few steps from our front door. The below picture is the view without ever leaving the bed.
The private bathroom in our room was also incredibly clean, spacious, and modern. Getting hot water was easy and the shower was actually quite roomy, unlike some others we’ve seen in Europe.
The closest beach was absolutely stunning- overlooking the Statua El Gigante with crystal clear and warm water and surprisingly sandy shores. Here is a photo:
The guesthouse location could not have been more perfect. We were close enough to walk to the center of town but quiet enough that we could sleep with the window open. There are tons of incredible food options right nearby, and our amazing host Marco has a binder of recommendations in the common area.
The impeccable conditions of the room barely scratch the surface of this accommodating stay. The guest host, Marco, was amazing. I truly cannot praise him enough. We had a fluctuating train schedule arriving and he simply asked for our train number and followed our schedule. Once we arrived, he greeted us and showed us to the guesthouse, showing us the stunning vernazza, common areas, and finally to our room which was complete with beach towels and a bottle of water.
Marco helped my partner find the perfect sunset view, where he proposed! Marco’s kindness, generosity and incredibly accommodating gestures throughout our stay made this experience beyond perfect.
Nothing - absolute perfection.

Clean and accessible to all areas of cinque Terra

The close proximity to the free beach and the walk into the old town. Having a balcony to sit on and over look the ocean was also a big plus. Marco was a good source of information about what and where to go within the local area. This was our second time staying at this property and would highly recommend it to others.

Great place to stay when visiting Monterosso. Convenient location, wonderful rooms and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
4.7
Great view and comfortable amenities. Really great shower which stood out for us compared to most places. Our host was also excellent - we followed his tips and advice and his recommendations were always spot on. Thank you!
4.7
Location of the hotel was convenient.
Better part of the beach is some distance away.
4.7
It's very clean. We were very comfortable when we stayed there. Close to train station, the beach, restaurants and stores.

Location, very clean place, everyone very helpful
The noise from other door rooms opening and closing constantly

This is a super location right opposite the beach in Monterosso. Accomodation is very good with great aircon.
Marco the host is the best I have seen. Greets you at train station and gives you great info on the town and the Cinque Terre. He is always there to help if needed and such a nice person.
We had a great indoor and outdoor common area where we relaxed each afternoon and had a few drinks before dinner. Views overlooking the beach. Very nice.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough and very good value for money.
Would be nice to have a toaster in common area and some ice for drinks but everything at this place is great.

we were greeted right away and he helped carry our luggage up the stairs. The common patio is amazing! We liked that the rooms had a mini fridge and AC that worked great!

The manager Marco was incredible. Upon arrival we gave us tons of recommendations on hikes to do (not just the normal Cinque Terre hikes) and the best restaurants to go to. all of his recommendations made our visit unforegetable. It was incredible. The Location is right on the coast so it is in a great location. It is not on the "Party" side of the city so it is quiet at night as well which is a plus. It was clean, and beatiful, and minimalistic which we also liked. It was very easy to get to from the train station as well. On top of all of that the facility was decorated with beautiful photography from Marco himself. Each photo on the wall was absolutely stunning. 5 Stars for sure!

Marcos, who welcomed us, was exceptional. He told us about things to do, where to go. He made sure we were happy by periodically checking in with us. When we left, he helped us by carrying some of our luggage to our next hotel. Molto grazie a Marcos!
The location also was excellent; on the waterfront, in the new Monterosso, close to the action, the restaurants, and the beaches. Our apartment was one of three, which nicely shared a common area inside as well as a small porch outside with a view of the nearby sea.
Nothing. It was great.

Everything was PERFECT. The room was much bigger than I had anticipated from the photos and was spotless when we arrived. The bed was the most comfortable we have stayed in during our vacation by far. Beppe was awesome at check in and told us everything we needed to know + recommended our new favorite breakfast/ focaccia spot! The location was amazing, couldn’t be closer to the beach + a 5 min walk to the train station made for easy check in and departure. We will definitely be coming back!
Room was a tiny bit hot and we couldn’t figure out how to work the AC. However, windows and shades worked perfectly well so we cracked the windows at night and were just fine!
4.7
Everything! The location is fantastic and the rooms/common area are so nice and welcoming. The property manager was so great. He provided me with great helpful information for the area and my stay. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Overall, an excellent experience!

Great central location with sea view. Easy check in with Marco who gave great recommendations for local food.

great location. five minutes walk of the train station. quiet area. 10 minutes walk to the center of town. I would stay here again if I came back
nothing

I loved everything about this little place! The shared living room and balcony are dreamy, room and bathroom were spotless. Yes the bed is a bit hard like other reviews mention but that did not bother me. I believe we had the smallest room and it was spacious enough for two nights. Perhaps if you're staying a week check that you have a larger room. Living room just gorgeous anyway to hang out.
Nothing. Just maybe a water filter jug in the common space
4.7
beautiful view and right on the ocean. Air conditioning was amazing.
bed was super hard. it was like sleeping on the floor and really took away from how great everything else was.
4.7
The Location was fine. Of course Mentirosa is small so you can’t really get a bad location there.
That bed was as hard as a rock. seriously?
that’s one of the main reasons people stay at a place. The bed was super uncomfortable and the pillows were super flat.

We were greeted by Marco who went out of his way to welcome us and help us with parking and even our luggage! He explained where we could eat for breakfast and dinner and how to visit the other Cinque Terre villages. The location is exceptional and the view of the water impressive. We traveled extensively in Tuscany and ending our trip at this location was the BEST! Marco made it a very special ending to our visit to Italy which was a lifelong dream for my husband and me.
There was nothing - EVERYTHING was simply amazing and the views were breathtaking. The balcony was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the views and listen to the waves. The value for what we received was extremely fair.
4.7
Very nice room with two floors and own balcony (towards the sea). Great location besides the beach. The common balcony was big and and had a great view to the sea. We really enjoyed our stay!
4.7
clean and updated. common area nicely appointed
bed was uncomfortable

very nice location and very clean.
the room was new and good but a bit small.
these guys are unbelievable! they demand you
to check in between 1-6 pm. if you loose that then
is possible not to find anyone even if you have paid the full amount upfront
we arrive late at 7:30pm it was still day.
I was trying to find someone to check in for 40 minutes
No one was answering in my calls.
I was searching numbers from other guests as well
because the contact lines in booking and website
no one was answering.
the WORST ever experience. my wife and kid was desperate
Finally after that a lady appeared and she said
“sorry but the check in time is passed!!!"
It was UNBELIEVABLE
please note that I has sent a message to them and I had informed them that my arrival will be
between 7-8pm. No response to that.
very bad behavior very unprofessional

fantastic location!! We had to go back & forth to the room often because our 10 year old was extra needy, & it was really convenient. Also, our son forgot his shoes under the stairs & the staff found them, washed them, & mailed them back to me!!! they were so kind & helpful! Would definitely book again.
