Nice spacious place to stay with 24-hour access but could be a tad bit cheaper for a subtle room
The bathroom & shower, & expansive open-spaced balcony. the breakfast was adequate. The breakfast staff was pleasant and always accommodating.
The entrance: it is really confusing. The official address is the address of a tienda & a restaurant. it is not the entrance for check-in. in order to check-in, if facing the exact address entrance, you must go to your left, then take an immediate right down on alley & knock very hard on the locked door. Someone should be there to let you in to fill out the registration process. Once you’re officially checked in, you do not have to repeat this entering process as you can then enter thru the tienda, show the counter workers your room key, & they will allow you access to the elevator. I am not making this up. even my accommodating taxi driver at night was baffled he couldn’t figure it out. And, not a word of English seemed to be spoken or understood. I get that, so I’m just letting y’all know. Also, the check-in staff may seem aloof (especially at first) but they’re not; it’s just their personalities.

Good
Great location - 5 minute walk from the center. The hot shower was great as well.
Breakfast was pretty sad overall - both quantity and quality wise. On the 5th floor, wifi was practically non-existent. Getting in and out of the hotel was a pain. The room key doesn't work on either the main entrance or the elevator lock through the grocery store. Each time, we had to find someone to open the door for us. The room doors don't have a latch from the outside - so you will need the key to get back in even if your door is unlocked.

Exceptional
Very clean, calm and comfy hotel, perfect for relaxing after a hike, close to main square and shops & restaurants. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice terrace with views! Very good value for money, especially compared with the average Huaraz hostel, which can be a bit of a rickety affair it seems. Id definitely come back

Good
Breakfast was good, staff was very kind
Hot water wasn't working when we arrived after 12 days of trekking. Additionally our room looked out onto a patio area that was a social area that was extremely loud. It was very challenging to sleep since people were right outside our window. A different room would have likely not had this problem but still frustrating.
