Beatriz and her mother were exceptional hostesses! Beatriz answered questions for us before we arrived so that our visit went more smoothly. We arrived to find that her mother had baked us a lemon cake, and had ensured that we were supplied with fresh milk, bread and crackers, coffee and tea, and ham and cheese, so that we could have breakfast there our first morning. We really appreciated that! They were both very friendly and helpful. The little house felt like a real home.
The bed in the small bedroom was a bit small for our adult son, who is admittedly very tall and big!

It was roomy and fine location, host was kind
It had a bad mold smell, and needed to be upgraded, bed was old and not comfortable, it was clean old, we opened all the windows and that helped, bathroom was old and towels were old

The little chalet was very close to the city centre. It had 2 bedrooms and a comfortable kitchen and living room.
Our hosts were excellent. Beatrice and her mum were so friendly and was avaliable for any issues we had. The small touches like milk and bread and breakfast items in the fridge and a homemade cake were wonderful.
The place is good value for money.

Very friendly host, warm welcome with a nice gift: homemade apple pie, some wine.
The house has enough space for a family, nice little garden.
The town of Sintra is spectacular and is way cooler than Lisbon, which is perfect for hot summer days.
Uf...where do I begin?
The house itself should not be used for tourism, at least not in the current shape and with the current design. It is an old lady's house, with minimum improvements.
Although we really really loved the host, we hope to never experience such stay again.
House: very humid, all the bedsheets were constantly wet. There is dampness all over the place, we used the purifier device present and bought some or our own, no change. There is a constant unpleasant smell throughout the house that won't go away even after whole days of open windows and placing fresheners everywhere. It is an odour of wet, old and wall mold.
Bathroom: awful. There is a mockery of a door, no ventilation. We tried to go as much as possible while we were out visiting.
Spiders all over the place.
Dust in lots of places.
During our stay (3 days), once they were in our kids had red eyes and running noses from the allergy.
Again, the place should not be used for tourism.

Good location within walking distance from the National Palace and historical downtown. Spacious. Nice and helpful hosts. They gave us a warm welcome.

Location was great. Could walk to restaurants and sights from accommodation. Host and greeting along with goodies was excellent.
There was a musty smell.

It is a charming apartment located only 10 minute walk to the centre of Sintra. The National Palace and all local dining facilities are only a short walk away. So you can come and go as you please.
Our hosts were so kind and accommodating, with refreshments at the apartment on our arrival, which was very much appreciated. The apartment had a lovely bohemian feel to it, very much in the spirit of Sintra itself.

The house was very spacious and decorated beautifully. Large outdoor space was great. The hosts were wonderful. Delicious homemade cake, wine and couvert were waiting for us upon check in. Very close to town with a short uphill walk.
Highly recommend.

Close to the centre and National Palace. Super friendly hosts. Pretty garden. Felt private. Nice cake and wine on arrival. Great to have freshly ground coffee. There were washing powder tablets for the washing machine. The lounge was comfortable. It's generally a nice property and close to attractions yet quiet.
The bed was quite hard. I tore a hole in one of my socks on a nail in the floor. It had a musty smell and was a bit cold. The electric heater didn't work so it was a little hard to dry clothes.

I loved the authentic nature of the house. It was decorated beautifully in a traditional Portuguese way. Every time I looked I spotted something new. The hostesses left some lovely welcoming gifts which was a kind touch. They were very helpful and friendly. They resolved the issue of lack of WIFI and electricity in one room quickly. The house is perfectly located for the stunning and bustling historic centre of Sintra yet is in a quiet location - the best of both worlds.
The house needed very regular airing. This is fine in hot weather like we had but if the weather isn't very good you probably wouldn't want to have the windows and doors open a lot.

Excellent hosts - very friendly and welcoming (even though we were frightfully late) Both Beatriz and Isabel were charming. Isabel made us the best apple crumble I have ever tasted. Thank you.
Lovely accomodation in a gorgeous garden. It had its own garen which was great for our dogs. It rained for most of our stay and we tried to keep their dirty paws off things so apologise.
Location is superb - a 300 metre walk to the heart of Sintra.
Some maintenance required in the bathroom as there were exposed electrical wires near a plug.

The location is absolutely perfect. Short walk to the heart of the city. Great hosts and place to stay. Couldn't have been in a better location

Beatriz and Isabel are the kindest and nicest hosts. They were waiting for us despite our arrival was a bit late, to give us the keys by hand and explain us everything in detail.
The house is really charming, comfortable and full of flowers and many details that made us feel like home. We were traveling with my dog and there was any problem. We even had our little garden so that she could enjoy the sun in the mornings and breath fresh air. Furthermore, in 2 minutes walking you're in Sintra's centre.
No doubt, we'll repeat in our next visit to the town.
Nothing.

Fantastic apartment filled with charm and character. Beautiful outside space with well-tended plants and flowers. Hosts couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Fully recommend.

The location is so well, you can walk around Sintra easily. And the room is so quiet and comfy, my dog absolutely enjoyed it!!!
Nothing wrong, but since it’s an old house, maybe they can do some renovations, it will make the house even better!

Super location. Lovely owner. Very nice welcome pack and well equipped with washing up liquid, kitchen cloths, loo paper etc.
It was a converted loft with very little standing room (about 3.5 meters of full ceiling height before it dropped to the edges) Anyone over 6 foot tall would not be totally comfortable in the space. The double bed was against a wall & thus one had to climb over the other to get out of the bed or crawl to the end of the bed and risk banging the head on the very low ceiling beams (which unfortunately I did a couple of times as I crawled out of the bed to use the bathroom during the night).
The shower was a hand held only one.
The tv was very small too.

Fantastic views from the studio and its balcony. Quiet at night, beautiful bird song in the morning. Comfy furnishing, well equipped kitchen, the apartment including the bathroom were in good shape. Very private place with own entrance and balcony. Extremely warm welcome on arrival and farewell at departure. Free luggage storage on the day of departure.
The heating was not efficient enough for the whole apartment (especially the bathroom) in January - this is probably not an issue at any other time of the year. It's a 20-minute walk to the railway station, local restaurants and cafés and grocery shopping, so a bit of a hassle if you don't fancy eating at tourist restaurants in the old town and don't have a car (you might use the bus, though, I rather walked). If you are tall, you might find the studio somewhat uncomfortable with the attic ceiling (I didn't mind it).
