From the time we arrived till we left the staff was super helpful in securing rides to the beach and return and where to go. The help getting us reservations at the beach resort we ended up going to.
At check the next morning we had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the hotel who introduced herself and wanted to know about us and how we were treated at her hotel
Nothing we could

Absolutely gorgeous, we are really happy with our choice. We wanted an authentic Hydra stay, plus somewhere easy walking distance from the ferry with our bags. The hotel did offer to collect our bags for a small fee but it was only a 5 minute walk so we were fine. Although only a 5 minutes walk from the lovely hustle and bustle of the harbour/port, the back street location was very quiet. Loved the lounge area with very interesting arty books, almost a library. Very comfortable bed, fabulous breakfast in the inner courtyard. I read many of the reviews and complaints that i particularly laughed at are 1) that the courtyard was in the shade (from the beautiful central plane tree), you wouldn't want to sit in the full sun/heat to eat. 2) there wasn't a pool! It's obvious at the booking stage that there isn't a pool, this is an authentic building in the cobbled narrow streets of Hydra, not a homogenous tourist hotel. We have previously been day trip visitors to Hydra and always wanted to stay. If you want to experience the real Hydra then choose Hotel Leto. All their photos and write up are authentic and true. You'll get what it 'says on the tin' as the saying goes. Their rating should be higher in my view, this may be because when people write anything in the box "what didn't you like" the algorithm logs it as a complaint even when people write "nothing" or "having to leave". Thank you

Overall quality of the premises and service quality of the staff. Ioanna at the reception, she is exceptional!
The 5star hotel at Hydra, such a tiny Island, can’t be better.

Like the recommendations where to eat, great meal at Douskus. Breakfast was good and the breakfast service was fantastic. I forget her name, she was so energetic she kick started my mornings in a positive note.
The air conditioners was too low and not strong enough to meet the heat. A little uncomfortable and a bit disappointing.

The location was perfect, an easy walk to the port, numerous good restaurants, museums, interesting walks. We found the room to be very comfortable, the bathroom also large and thoughtfully planned. We had a balcony also that was a delight, a quiet, sunny spot to read or visit. The staff were very professional, friendly, courteous and helpful. They were very responsive to our questions and any needs we had, from helping with restaurant reservations to making suggestions for places to visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and did not have any complaints!

Really beautiful classic hotel with lovely furnishings in reception area and bedrooms. All the staff were charming and very friendly and went above and beyond to be of great help to us. Great advice on where to go/what to see in Hydra, restaurants, beaches etc. Very relaxed. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back.

Very helpful kind staff. The room I had was with a balcony and it was beautiful to look outside. the hotel was very clean and all amenities provided.
There is nothing that I didn’t like.

Breakfast and location were both great.
I didn't like the fact that it was only a hand held shower nozzle with no place to secure it to enjoy an actual shower. We also quickly ran out of hot water several times.

Family run hotel! The ladies showed exceptional hospitality, including the lady at breakfast. Would give 12 out of 10 stars for the service alone, if possible. The breakfast was great with a wide selection and a beautiful location on the courtyard. The room we booked was pleasant and a decent size with a balcony over the street. The hotel is a little away from the main port, which meant a lovely walk through the streets of Ydra. As it was our first time to the island, having such hospitable staff was a major plus. They informed us of everything we needed to know for navigating the island from food, best beach areas, places to have a drink, walks, etc.
Unfortunately, the bathroom only had a shower over the bath which was pretty tight. Apparently, there are only a couple of rooms with a walk in shower and this is requirement for 5 star hotels, we were told. Although, a beautiful hotel, the hotel lacked a few services to award it 5 stars, but it's certainly homely and we certainly would be back. The bathroom itself showed slight wear ie peeling paint, etc., due to the lack of windows.

Old World elegance, spotless, the warmest and most capable service. Made my stay unforgettable. A magical place in all respects.
Nothing.

The little details were really beautiful all around the hotel, the cleanliness was impressive, location was good too (quieter).
The rooms could be a bit bigger, the blowdryer is weak, shower pressure is weak too, also no blankets provided, a bedsheet only and a super thin blanket in the cupboard

The location was fantastic. Close to the Port and close to all the restaurants.
We were especially grateful to the staff at reception. They recommended and booked all of our restaurants for the week. They supplied towels for the beach and booked our day beds. We could not have asked for more informative helpful staff.
We were happy with everything.

The hotel was OVERPRICED. Didn't stay in the Superior Double room as was shown in the photos. Got a SMALL room for the outrageous price of 420 euros per night. Bad experience overall

elegant understated hotel in a great location just a short walk from the harbour, helpful staff and gorgeous breakfast in lovely courtyard, we stayed for about a week in a very large ground floor bedroom with comfy bed and mini bar room safe etc which was perfect although would probably go for one of the balcony rooms in future - for added outdoor space in such a wonderful location
minor detail really but we had a bath with hand shower - ideally we would have preferred it if it had been possible to fix the shower head above
