About this chalet rental
HighlightsA stunning luxury chalet with breathtaking views from the huge double-height feature windows in the main living area. In La Tzoumaz Chalet Aventure is situated an easy 200m walk from the free ski-bus stop, but it is also possible in good conditions for good skiers to ski back to the chalet across the countryside. The chalet has been fitted and decorated to a high standard and is equipped with a separate TV or games area. Here you can truly escape into the mountain atmosphere and enjoy traditional evenings with family and friends around the fireplace whilst the children play upstairs in their own space. The small outdoor infra-red sauna is a delight in snowy winter weather, and perfect for relaxation at any time.
Bedrooms & BathroomsThis five-bedroom chalet comfortably sleeps up to 10 people in five bedrooms. The Master Bedroom and its en-suite shower room are on the lower floor, along with two further double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom. The final twin bedroom is situated on the mezzanine floor, by the TV/play area. There is a further shower room with guest WC situated on the main living floor.
La Tzoumaz Chalet Aventure is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, additional mattresses are not provided with the cots.
EquipmentThe main floor of this large chalet is an open kitchen/living/dining area with wood-burning stove and toasty underfloor heating. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and is fully equipped with everything you might need for holiday catering, including a dishwasher, microwave, electric filter coffee machine, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, oven, hob and separate freezer. There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. A hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use. There is an external ski locker to help store all of your ski equipment. There is a washing machine in the property and small outdoor infra-red sauna.
RelaxingThe chalet has a fabulous position, elevated to give a stunning view across the nearby valley to the distant mountain peaks beyond. The luxury sofas are an incredibly comfortable place from which to admire this stunning view, or you can sink into a cowhide chair to indulge in the choice of cable channels and DVDs offered by the 32-inch (81cm) flat-screen TV. Alternatively, lose yourself in the music coming from the CD/iPod station whilst a log fire crackles in the background. The mezzanine area upstairs has bean bags, TV and DVD player so everyone can have their own space during your holiday. There is a small infra-red sauna outside the chalet that is great for soothing your aching muscles after a long day on the ski slopes or hiking trails. In summer, both the outdoor table on the patio and the seating on the wrap-around balcony provide you with the opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of this calm location and listen to the birdsong coming from the nearby trees.
InternetChalet Aventure is equipped with high-speed WIFI for your own private use during your stay.
PetsWe’re sorry but this is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
ParkingAt least one car is advisable in both summer and winter. Parking for 2 cars outside the chalet. Winter tyres and/or snow chains necessary in winter due to frequent snowfalls. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.
WinterThe free ski bus (less than 200m flat walk from the chalet) whisks you to the main ski piste in under two minutes, or to the resort centre a little further away. The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
For familiesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.
At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).
The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.
Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.
A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

A beautiful and quiet chalet with lots of room for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular view. We loved the location; it was outside the main part of town, but not too far for walking to the gondola (Savoleyres/Verbier) nor for quick trips to get groceries from the Supermarche. Plentiful bedrooms with space for moving around beds, and with places to keep clothes. Clean, modern bathrooms with nicely designed fixtures and great water pressure. Spectacular deck area for sitting and looking out over the valley to Iserables or for having breakfast while taking in the fresh air. A tiny outdoor stand-alone sauna was a plus for relaxing muscles after long days hiking. Our family of four (older children) rented this for over two weeks and hosted a rotating set of guests: from grandparents to other families with younger children. The house was comfortable and resourceful for all our configurations. Every place we've stayed in La Tzoumaz/Verbier area has been special—but this was our favorite.

Beautiful Chalet with stunning view
We really enjoyed our stay in La Tzoumaz. The Chalet was very beautiful and cosy. The kids enjoyed their own area with a DVD player. It was very convenient with the free ski bus down to the lift/shop. Also the slopes were awesom, and not as crowded as in other regions. The only „room for improvement“ regarding the Chalet would be the kitchen equipment and number of bath towels (6 for 8 persons). Especially the frying pans seemd very old and damaged.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay and the service provided by the agency.

Super Chalet

If you haven't been there you missed something. It is such a beautiful place to stay! We had a very nice time at the chalet. Everything was perfect except the washingroom wasn't that clean.

Newly build with stunning view this place is ideal for families with a large living room. its close to the skibus and has a nice garden for the kids. only downside: the sauna is only an IR sauna.

Great chalet for a large group or family
Loved the open plan living room/kitchen and fireplace. Everything is well-kept and the staff of the rental agency was very friendly. The only thing to complain about is the tiny sauna.

Very well placed and comfortable chalet. Averagely equipped to cook (pan, frying pan in poor condition and ladle missing) but otherwise the stay was very pleasant.
Altogether one magnificent and really excellent chalet.
Thank you for the welcome to the staff 4v4s

Very enjoyable Autumn break
Great chalet in a lovely location. Lots of walks in the valley and mountains, although forgot not all mountain restaurants are open in October! Long walk back to Croux de Coeur for lunch!

A summer visit for us, staying in Chalet Aventure, which we found to be bright and very comfortable, with lots of room to move around in the lounge / kitchen area. The bedrooms that we used were well-equipped and the three bathrooms a big bonus. The main supermarket was only fifteen minutes walk away and there are cafes and restaurants to choose between. The drive down to the valley was not a problem and the sharp bends emphasised how high we were in the Alps - a good place to choose as a base, with Sion and Martigny close enough for a shopping trip.
The aspect overlooking the valley was a great asset and served us well, either when we watched a storm approaching, or when we watched the stars.
There are a few reasonably gentle walks within minutes of the chalet and more vigorous ones higher up. The road beside the chalet is not heavily used, so is not a disturbance.
A great base for a summer break, most likely even more special in the snow.

This was an ideal venue for a relaxing family get together. This luxurious villa provided plenty of space for the three generations of our family to enjoy each other's company in comfort and style. One side of the large double height living area is literally a window into the world with views across the valley to the snow capped mountains beyond and an ever changing cloud scape which, at this height, you get to look down upon. The view was stunning in October so, when the scene is snow clad it must be spectacular. This was a great base from which to explore the local area and Verbier was our first destination, just over the col.
Back at the villa, we could leave the kids playing with grandma and retreat downstairs to the peaceful ground floor bedrooms, still with the wonderful views from the French Windows. Wrapping up and heading out onto the living room balcony to study a crisp clear night time star scape whilst sipping a warning vin chaud was also a treat!
We hope to visit again during the ski season. Our boys were wowed by the snow on the day we visited the Saas Fee glacier, so being able to enjoy it straight from the steps of the villa would be fantastic. My twelve year old son summed our stay up in two words -'Certifiably awesome!'

Beautiful chalet, stunning location
I was a little bit cautious about an autumn half term break in the mountains with 10 of my family. Were we going to be stuck in cloud and rain, would the 10 of us be cramped into a wooden hut going stir crazy?!
The reality couldn't be further from the truth. Blessed with good weather Chalet Aventure makes the most of the truly breathtaking views - framing the golden autumnal trees and snow capped peaks like a picture.
With 4 kids, 4 adults and 2 grandparents it's fair to say everyone needed their own space and the chalet has that in abundance. A nice little mezzanine with DVD player and table football to keep the kids occupied and the enormous double height living area that never once felt cramped.
There's plenty to do on your doorstep as well, even 'out of season'. Walking the Bisse and up to Maison de Foret, mountain top walks after the short drive up to Croix de Coeur were excellent. Followed by a bit of relaxation at the thermal pools at the bottom of the valley.
Exceeded expectations - thank you!

Everything we hoped for and much more!
This chalet is a truly special find. My partner and I arrived and were blown away by the positioning, stunning views and the level of comfort and luxury (my personal favourite was the rain showers in the bathrooms!). No matter what the weather had to offer, we were in bliss. From thunderstorms playing out in front of us on the balcony, to mist drifting over the forests or scorching sunshine enjoyed from the garden outback.
Plenty of walks, treks and adventures to be had, or just sitting in the spacious comfort of the place and enjoying the remote quiet; so relaxing!
Overall, it was an incredible break away to the peace and quiet of mountain life. We will definitely be coming back!!

Spectacular!
We had the most amazing holiday at Chalet Aventure. The accommodation was stunning and the views breathtaking! Lots of beautiful walks in the summer with amazing views. The skiing was amazing when we came in the winter with great eating places on the mountain and access to Verbier. What a truly special place!. We can't wait to go back again.

A great week in the mountains hiking, swimming and embracing our inner Heidi! The kids especially loved the Maison de Foret trails, picnics in Vallon d'Arby, then hiking up the forest trails to the Col de Mines, over the top and back down via Coeur de Croix. Not bad for a 6,7 and 10 year old!
Chalet was even better than we hoped. Lovely quiet location but an easy walk to the centre. Standout was the double height living area, with its floor to ceiling Windows. Bedrooms all good size and kids particularly liked the twin room in the attic and the games space in the mezzanine.
Nice little extras too like the Telescope in the lounge, table football table and swing ball set outside. A great set up for the kids.
Would love to stay again, maybe in the snow next time!
