About this chalet rental
HighlightsThis luxury family chalet is a rare treat in La Tzoumaz – ski-in and ski-out access, and an easy walk to the town centre! From the moment the automatic garage door opens to allow you into the snow-free underground parking, everything has been designed with a family of skiers in mind: the parking is linked first to the chalet and then to the piste by a 70m shuttle cabin on rails that easily climbs the near-vertical mountainside, so that you don’t have to! This is what makes Chalet Sapin Argente ski-in ski-out. No more struggling onto a ski-bus with arms full of children’s skis and poles, and no need to walk around in your ski-boots. There’s also no need to clear snow from your car in the mornings as you can just park it indoors and forget about it until it’s time to go home. In fact, you really don’t need a car if you’re staying here in the winter. Due to its elevated position, Chalet Sapin Argente benefits from fantastic views across the valley and to the mountains up to 20km away. The large windows of the open living / dining area were specially designed to make the most of this ever-changing vista.
Guest typesPlease note that this property welcomes families and couples only, and that other groups consisting of adults only are not allowed.
Bedrooms & BathroomsWith its five bedrooms and three bathrooms, this chalet is ideal for families of up to 10 people. Downstairs are two twin bedrooms and a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, sink and WC. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (with balcony access), a TV room with sofabed, and a bathroom with bath and overhead shower, sink and WC. The third bathroom is on the main living floor and consists of a shower cubicle, sink and WC.
La Tzoumaz Chalet Sapin Argente is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, additional mattresses are not provided with the cots.
EquipmentThe main floor of the chalet is an open kitchen/living/dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for catering for two families, including oven, vitroceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric filter coffee machine, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge and separate freezer. There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. Washing machine, hairdryer and iron are all available for you to use. The downstairs hall area is equipped as a ski and boot storage area. The large balcony area has table, chairs and portable outdoor barbecue making it perfect for lunch on a sunny summer day.
RelaxingAt the end of a ski day, you can stop off at the Bar des Etablons for an apres-ski vin chaud, then ski home the last 250m to the shuttle cabin. Once inside, you’ll really appreciate the underfloor heating throughout the chalet, but that might not stop you from lighting the fire to add to the cosy glow of an alpine evening overlooking the village and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. There are some puzzles and games in the living room, and in the TV-bedroom there is Apple TV and a PlayStation 4. If you want to head out to one of the resort bars or restaurants, you can just take the shuttle cabin down to the parking level and walk 5 or 10 minutes to the town centre. If you fancy a day off from skiing, you can use your lift pass to ride up to the top of the Savoleyres telecabin with your sledge. Please note that its better to rent a sturdy one from the resort as there are 10km of sledge runs between the top of the telecabin and the bottom!
InternetChalet Sapin Argente is equipped with free, high-speed WIFI for your own private use.
PetsWe’re sorry but this is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet.
ParkingThere is one parking space in the shared underground car-park on the premises. An electric vehicle charging point is provided here for your private use during your stay, with both a 16A Commando Caravan socket and a 16A Swiss 3-pin socket.
Should you travel with more than one car, additional parking is available only 150m away, in a lay-by on the main road. Car not necessary in winter due to proximity to ski-lifts, restaurants and supermarket. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.
WinterThis fabulous chalet is ski-in and ski-out. During the ski season, you only have to step into the shuttle cabin outside the chalet and you are carried the 40m uphill to the piste. From here you only need to ski 300m down the main piste to arrive at the Savoleyres telecabin. At the end of the last run of the day, don't forget to stop before the end and hop into the shuttle cabin to be carried the last 80m to your door. The main piste is not accessible to complete beginners, who would need to walk the 300m to the ski-school meeting point at the telecabin.
The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
For familiesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.
At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).
The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.
Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.
A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

Sinon cadre magnifique!

The chalet was okay, but not very cosy. Furnished and decorated for renting.
We had cold the whole week and because it was cold in the chalet, we missed a dryer to dry our wet and cold skiclothes.
The kitchen was okay.

Great!
Herzlichen Dank!

Nice Ski In Out Chalet with big veranda
Had a lovely time at the chalet. The ski in and out lift was so convenient!
The kids loved playing on the veranda with all the snow while the adults could enjoy their coffee sitting inside.

Had everything we needed for a good holiday with friends and a view that takes your breath away from every room. On day one we skied the local area so could easily go home for lunch as the chalet is right by the piste. There are good lunch stops for the other days plus lots of good skiing and the long tree lined run over to Verbier when we wanted a change.
Will definitely be booking again

BREANT FEBRUARY VACATION 2017
Nice stay in La Tzoumaz

Beautiful place with plenty of light. Fabulous views and direct access to and from the piste. My wife and I had a fantastic stay and we skied until we dropped.

gorgeous chalet with super easy access to piste
Lovely modern chalet with Swiss charm. We love to come back and back to this fantastic place, where you can be out of the front door and skiing within minutes or less. Chalet has great facilities and all the advantages of a modern home. Stunning mountain views, village with shops, bars etc just down the road, and varied skiing in whole Verbier area make this a perfect holiday destination.

Great chalet, superb views, ski in ski out
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely chalet with its magnificent views. The private lift leading directly onto the piste above the chalet was amazing - just a brief ski down to the main gondola leading to Verbier. Would definitely stay again given the opportunity.

Superb ski-in and ski-out location. Would definitely recommend.

Conveniently located chalet, with stunning views
Great location, within easy walking distance of resort centre. Very comfortable chalet (5 bedrooms/2 bathrooms), with a huge balcony that has stunning views out over the Rhône valley. This was my 2nd visit to le Sapin Argente and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends, especially during the ski season, with the slopes very easily accessible. Simply take the private funicular lift up to the piste and ski down to the main télécabine station. At the end of the day, just take the funicular back down to the chalet - no walking in ski boots. The chalet also benefits from an indoor parking space, with heated floor!

Great
Comfortable, well-equipped chalet with a great view over the valley and really close to the slopes. Couldn't ask for more!

great views, location and had everything we needed
really enjoyed our stay here and can't recommend this chalet or owners enough. Never been to Switzerland before so was really excited about coming here. The position of the chalet to see the amazing views was outstanding and the owners made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Lots to do in area and im sure being so close to the ski runs would be a real bonus to skiers. Would stay here again!

Great location, clean, well equipped, comfortable
Definitely recommend this chalet; it's nicely set up for a great holiday and you can pop back for lunch if you ski the La Tzoumaz area in the morning which is great if the kids are in lessons.
The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfy, boot warmer is a luxury and the view of the mountains is staggering.
We found the little private lift that takes you to and from the piste or garage really useful and its only a short walk to the shops, ice rink and restaurants....we ate in La Fougere a couple of times.
Most days we stopped off in the bar at La Croix de Coeur or Chez Simon before the last run home down through the trees. Loved it!
