Great hotel and very good value

The staff were extremely helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable. The location is very good, and while on a busy road the hotel is very quiet and in a pleasant setting.

Amazing

I loved the hosts who were extremely polite and courteous Breakfast was lovely and a great space Very attentive and comfortable Not too far from reading town

It was a little outdated and the bedding and mattress wasn’t the comfiest, otherwise the property itself is beautiful I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting for work

Pleasant and convenient with friendly staff

Nice size room with large bathroom. The shower was really good. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking available right outside the property

Central heating came on in the morning which made it much too hot (with no obvious way to turn down radiator). Wasn't too keen on the giant bedspread as it didn't look like it was cleaned regularly, so would have preferred it wasn't on the bed. The hotel pre-authorised my card for 1 night in advance, without warning, then I paid the full amount for both nights on arrival. After over a week, the pre-authorised amount still hasn't been paid back into my account, which is less than ideal...

Wonderful little vintage looking rooms, comfy beds & good staff!

We stayed at this hotel as a family for just over a week, while here we suffered a medical emergency. The staff were incredible & ensured we were looked after in a time of need, ensuring our granddaughter could stay an extra few days. Particularly Nazlee went above and beyond for us always. Written on the behalf of my grandparents, I can’t thank you enough for the help and support while we stayed with you! The beds were also extremely comfortable, the showers incredible and the breakfast was lovely too!

There was nothing we could think of that we didn’t like. The only thing we had to point out was about the bed, we were told that due to having several guests one of the beds in the room broke. But it was fine all morning, we went out & the cleaners came in; then later that evening when we came back it was only then we noticed it was wobbly. This isn’t something we would say we “didn’t like”, we were just confused as to how the bed was fine when we went out and wobbly when we came back but we’re told by the owner that it was us and our guests that had caused the bed to start being unsteady.

Very quiet and comfortable room, good location, lovely staff. Stayed for work and would book again. Good parking, wifi, tea/coffee etc, room spotless, nice hotel garden and good pub with meals opposite hotel.

Nothing to dislike.

Brilliant small hotel

We loved the uniqueness of the hotel and not being part of a chain. Friendliness, helpfulness and warmth of the owner was appreciated. Lovely breakfast too. Having parking available in a hotel so near the town centre was a bonus.

Great 2 night stay, clean , tidy single room whilst visiting family. Parking and an easy walk into town.

Would prefer a duvet, as opposed to sheets/ blankets.

It was a pleasant stay, I’d go again, the staff were lovely, there just could be a couple of improvements.

It is a pretty building, the rooms look quite nice. It is also right opposite the BeefEater so meals are easy if you don’t want to travel far or order food to the door.

The walls are fairly thin to the point you can hear people walking up and down the corridor. The bathrooms seem like they could also have some extra work done.

Beautiful building, easy to find with great parking, the staff make your stay

The property was very easy to find and there was lots of parking available. The property is beautiful, well appointed and the welcome couldn't have been better. All employees were friendly, helpful and incredibly respectful. I would recommend this accommodation to all.

The décor of my room was a little dated - but don't let that put you off booking. The room was superbly clean. the bed was comfortable and the bathroom (and rest of the room) have everything you need and more. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Super hotel!

We have stayed at this property many times when visiting our son in Reading & would stay nowhere else! Rooms excellent, garden beautiful, plenty of parking, owners & staff most friendly & helpful. Breakfast room is lovely as are the breakfasts. Our son is moving away so unfortunately probably won't be visiting Reading again, however, if we do, this will be the place we stay at!

The bad was at least 6 foot wide and I was really pleased until I laid in it and realised it was two smaller beds put together, shocking really
