Delicious luxury in serene inspiring wild seeing and hearing hippos... one may easily write a book!
a. In the main restaurant, staff take away plates from each person in the group too quick;ly....
b. The pathways, though beautiful and cultural, are hard for the elderly to walk on.

Communal areas were exceptional - and the views were stunning from both our room and communal areas. As my mother is a senior citizen, check-in staff gave us a room that was as close to the dining room as possible - which was much appreciated. All the staff were very friendly and service throughout the property was exceptional. Bernard, who looked after our room, checked on us every evening to ensure everything was as expected. The staff in the dining area took really good care of my mother and we also enjoyed the buffet food selection at Mara Serena - hence compliments to the chef.
We had booked a double room but there were three single beds in our room - which meant space was rather limited in the room. However, we do appreciate we were given a room close to the dining/main reception area which meant my mother did not have to walk more than necessary to get to places within Mara Serena. The other quibble we had was there were quite a few brown spots on the shower curtain in the bathroom and the sink was also cracked quite badly - which we would not have expected in a lodge of this quality. Wifi in room was not available.

the room was the best part and the lobby its eye catching and relaxing specially its overlooking the whole masai mara. the food was great. all staff are accommodating, helpful and cheerful. feels so much welcome to the hotel.
they dont have free drink on the buffet. atleast they could offer a free juices that would be a great thing.

The location of the hotel was great staff was amazing and friendly. Food was awesome. Facilities were great at that remote location.
Only one thing the park gate keeper told us that the ticket you are buying will cover your game ride which hotel reception confirmed it on arrival but in the morning when I was about to jump into the safari jeep they said no you don't have booking and you have to book with us for an extra cost. That I didn't like it because the night before they were saying something but next morning it was different.

The facilities available in such an isolated place were amazing! The staff were friendly, happy and very attentive. The rooms and beds were most comfortable. The animals to be seen on safari, begin practically on your doorstep. Wonderful views too!

The Mara is magic and Mara Serena is a uniquely designed hotel with a lovely view of the plains and facilities which include a well equipped gym with a great view !
The food was not great . They also didn’t initially seem ready to cater for the vegan in our party , even though we’d asked in advance , but chef Edwin did make a big effort once we explained - thank you !
Mara Serena is also one of the further camps from Nairobi , which makes for a long drive , but would be great for the great migration and it’s location in the Mara conservancy is a plus

The location is perfect - right on a bluff overlooking the Masai Mara Reserve. The rooms were impeccably clean and situated so you feel like you have your own mini cabin. The game drives can be arranged right at the lodge. The air strip is 5 minutes away.
Rooms are on the small side and the buffet food is a bit repetitive. You have to pay for water when there could easily be a refill station in the lobby.

The Mara Serena is a legacy property within the Mara game park and as such a hub for tourists. From the moment you enter the premise, there is a feeling of warmth and welcome from the staff. We arrived right before dinner was served and once settled in our rooms, proceeded to dinner where I was rather surprised to see (who I thought was) the manager personally come to our table and welcome us for our stay. Shortly after the first course, chef Juma came out to say hello and explained the menu of the day. As I said, welcoming.
I like that the tour guides sit among the guests (at a separate table of course but I said hello to a number of them) creating community so that when you go out in search of game, you kinda know who is speaking over the radio.
My family in a different room did not get room slippers.
Consider warming the pool for cooler months.

I loved the friendliness of all the staff at the hotel. The view of the room was gorgeous overlooking the whole of Masai Mara and might be one of the best views I've seen in my life
The food was below average, which was a big disappointment cause everything else was perfect. I wasn't able to eat alot, the pasta was over-cooked, the fish was dry, the meat was very chewy and low quality. It was surprising to me since that hotel is pretty expensive and in return you should find good food quality

The location is incredible!
It feels a bit forced, the Masai references seem artificial.

Brilliant location,
The staff are very friendly,
They go out of there way to do things for you

Fullboard but you pay for water and juices in the dining separately. The mango juice cost 350($3.5), for that I would expect some thick juice that's all mangoes. Instead it felt like juiced from packed boxes. Light and without the natural mango sweetness.

I like the garden, the staff and the wildpig came visiting us.

The location was fabulous. The rooms were great. Food was really good. They gave us an excellent packed lunch.

The lodge has one of the best locations, but the place is missing something and their is no personal touch or friendliness from the staff. It feels as if it’s just a factory to generate as many tourists as possible with out much effort. The food was way below average and sloppy. It’s not at all what we experienced at other lodges in the area. It’s disappointing to see such a beautiful property mismanaged.

I think considering the devastating effect that COVID-19 has had on the Kenyan economy, with still no travel corridor, the staff have probably really suffered these past months but you wouldn't have known they couldn't do enough.
Everything was amazing....
