The property was terrific, super scenic and well located in the beautiful villages of Ballina-Killaloe. We will be back.

We (3 couples + 1 single adult) stayed in this beautiful home in Ballina for a week in June 2024. The home itself was lovely and had everything we needed. The washer and dryer allowed us to pack lightly for the trip, which was very much appreciated! The bedrooms were spacious, especially the upstairs bedroom, and the dining and living areas completely met our needs. The landscaping was lush and the view of the river was serene. One of us appreciated the cute neighboring cats who would visit.
Ballina and Killaloe are wonderful towns on their own. We enjoyed being able to walk to dinners at the Lakeside Hotel, Flannagan's, and Tuscany Bistro. The local road construction required a little patience but was not much of a factor. We chose this house because it allowed us to get out to see sights from Galway to the Burren and Cliffs to Limerick and Cork. Fantastic location.
The owner was delightful to deal with: helpful and responsive.
I would absolutely recommend this home!

This property was wonderful and served our needs perfectly. It was clean, spacious and on a nice quiet street close to a gas station and restaurants. Across town was an Aldi and another small supermarket. Check in was a breeze and Kenneth was wonderful. He checked in (via message) with us often to make sure everything was going well and to see if we needed anything. Very friendly! The kitchen was fully stocked for eating in. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!

It had the bedrooms and living space that we needed. It was fun to walk 5 minutes into town for eats, ice cream, bars, river rides, etc. 20 minute walk across the bridge for Aldis grocer in Killaloe. Many things to do in the area. If you drive, bridge traffic can get busy.
Parking was for two small cars - worked for us.
Traffic around the rental was light and the nights were quiet.

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home. The location was close to the center of town where we enjoyed various restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Our host, Kenneth, was very accessible and checked in with us a few times to make sure we were comfortable and to answer any questions that we had about the home. We would definitely consider returning in the future.

We had a very enjoyable one week stay in this property. The host communicated with us very effectively and the house was very comfortable in a lovely location for touring the South West corner of Ireland. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home. Clean, all amenities were working and helpful, and most importantly comfortable. Communication was clear and helpful. Killaloe/Ballina is an adorable town!

This was our first trip to Ireland. We loved the Ballina/Killaloe area. The house was walking distance to many restaurants and pubs. The area was safe. The pictures of the house are accurate. Ken was very easy to contact and responded quickly to our questions. His house was so nice and it was great to relax in the evenings after walking around all day. Our daughter is 18 and liked having the whole upstairs to herself. We also enjoyed doing our stretches and exercises in the big upstairs area. Thanks Ken for a great place to stay!

Fab stay thanks you

The house was great. Located with great views of the water. The house and backyard were perfect for our family and the check in and check out process was easy.

The house was large and airy. The skylights in the upper house make for a wonderful space to visit and relax. The view from the back yard is beautiful and some outdoor table and chairs make for lots of spaces for all types of weather. The towns are beautiful and close to grocery stores and shops as well as restaurants and some shops.

Loved this house and it's location is fantastic ... walking distance to multiple pubs, restaurants and shops. The quality of the house was excellent.

There were seven of us staying for a week in Ireland and this house is easily big enough to accommodate everyone with room to get away if you need a bit of time to yourself. The kitchen is a little small for the size of our group, but we still managed to cook some fantastic meals, including a BBQ one night. The house is lovely and the location great - overlooking the lake and a short walk into the town with pubs and eateries. A 5min drive to pick up supplies if needed. We didn't meet Ken, but communication and check in and out were easy. Would definitely recommend staying here.

House was perfect and very homey. Ballina and Killaloe were so special - as enjoyable and rich as any other sites we experienced in Ireland.
4.8
Lovely house. Wonderful property and location. Excellent amount of space for a family. All amenities needed were available. Would love to rent again.

House was very comforable and well presented with only two minor comments. The BBQ was unusable, not very clean and rusty. The advetised coffee machne was two cafetieres. Neither affected our stay.

Beautiful home in a quaint and lovely town. Excellent location for touring the area or relaxing and doing nothing. Easy to reach and very attentive host. The house was perfect for our holiday and a definite must go back!

Enjoyed staying here and the warmth of the fire every night.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Killaloe. The house affords every amenity a larger group might need; spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, plenty of linens and towels, well stocked kitchen and perfect for entertaining! The views from the house out onto the lake are wonderful and our entire group enjoyed our stay in a home away from home. Ken was a perfect host and very accommodating to our early arrival and ensuring our every needs were met. We look forward to staying again in the future!

House is well very presented with everything you would need for a very comfortable home from home. Super outside space and views of the Lough.
Great location, with all the facilities of Ballina and Killaloe within easy walking distance.
Ken, the host, was quick to respond to messages and very helpful.
If visiting the area again would definitely rebook.

This was an ideal location for us. The towns were easy to walk about, we could get whatever we needed in town. People were very helpful and friendly. We used the house as our home base and did day trips to the tourist locations we wanted to visit. The house had all of the items we needed. We'd recommend this property as a great location to stay.

This was an amazing home, very clean, beautiful inside and extremely close to town with restaurants and activities. Check in and check out was seamless, and communication with Kenneth was easy. Highly recommend this home!

Fantastic stay
We had a great time in Ballina-Killaloe. Ken’s house is lovely and has everything you need including a travel cot for little ones! The view is lovely from outside and the living room. Walking distance to everything. We have two small ones and it was hard to get checked out on time but Ken was very forgiving even though I’m sure it was an inconvenience to him. We we’re also super lucky with the weather and went swimming in the lake every day. Thanks for a great stay and lovely house with everything we needed!

Fantastic House in Ballina
The house was wonderful. It was spacious and clean, with a beautiful yard and easily walkable to Ballina and Killaloe. It was even better than the pictures, and a perfect spot for a long stay. Kenneth was very helpful for anything we needed. My family had a great time and loved our stay here.

Fantastic Location
This house was perfect for a family of four. House was exactly as depicted in pictures, just bigger! House is in a perfect location, nice quiet street with a fantastic view from the back yard. Sat out there every morning with a cup of coffee and just listened to the silence. I have to say that our host, Kenneth, went above and beyond anything a host has ever done for us. I am originally from Limerick, so when my aunt heard I was coming home, she asked if she could drop "stuff" out to the house the night before we arrived. I asked Kenneth if this was possible, and to my surprise he gave my aunt full access to the house so that she could stock the fridge for us. Kenneth was available to us the entire time we were there. I would highly recommend this house, and host, and would stay here again.

A lovely house well decorated and very comfortable and relaxing

Perfect house and venue
Not much to say, everything great, more like a house swap so you have everything you need, unlike some rentals where there is minimum of some items like pots and pans, sharp knives etc. A short walk by the lake into town for restaurants, coffee and ice cream! Will book again.

lovely property in a great location with beautiful views of the river
lovely big property with ample space to spread out- even had a yoga space for us to lay out our mats for the duration of our stay. beautiful views of the lake- you could just sit there and watch the boats go by all day. Great location within walking distance of shops restaurants and the river, a perfect staycation spot. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room. Bedding and linens were of a very good standard. Good wifi for streaming etc. Very responsive owner, easy check in and check out. I can highly recommend this property😊

This property is an absolute gem. The pictures online are very impressive but it’s even more stunning in reality. As a family of 6 with two teenagers it was important that there was enough space for us all, which there was in abundance. The upstairs level has a separate living area to chill out, read, or listen to music with a large bedroom and separate bathroom, which was perfect for the teenagers. We were blessed to have had the hottest week of the year during our stay and we made the most of it by engaging in all the water activities killaloe has to offer. What I loved most was the fact that we could walk everywhere. Shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets are all within a short stroll. We also enjoyed access (for a small charge) to the indoor pool in the nearby lakeside hotel. The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and had everything you would need for your stay. There were even some board games and plenty of books to choose from to keep the family entertained in the evenings. I would highly recommend this property. The owner Ken was a pleasure to deal with and allowed us a later check out time on the last day which we really appreciated. Killaloe is an amazing place to holiday and this property is the icing on the cake. If you are looking for a private holiday rental for a family of 6-8 which is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated with stunning lakeside views then look no further.

Property review
Lovely property and great location. House want very clean however.... cobwebs everywhere and dirty dishes and frying pan found in press .....

Beautiful house that is conveniently located near the village and only about a 2-4 mins walk to the gorgeous town of ballina, so it's great for a evening stroll or a night out. The house and the views were probably more beautiful in real life than in photos which is rare. You get a really great view of the lake in the living room and that's probably one of the best selling points. Theres also a large garden so kids can run around and a nice deck for dinner in the summer. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely House
The house is very spacious, bright and clean . Really great for families and very well equipped with everything you could need. The outdoor space looking into the river is very pretty! Kenneth was very responsive to any queries . The twin towns if Ballina and Killaloe are a pleasant 5 minutes stroll away with a nice selection of restaurants. Just a pity we visited in the middle of a storm so couldn’t make the best use of everything on offer ! But overall a great property in a lovely location

Beautiful riverside house
We had a fantastic week in Ballina/Killaloe! The house was perfect - very spacious and well equipped. The location is great. A short stroll into town and right by the river. Our kids enjoyed kayaking, swimming and pier jumping nearby. There are great hiking trails in the locality and it was lovely to come back to the comfort and peace of the house after a day in the hills. While we did have a fair bit of rain during our stay, but when the sun was out we were lucky to enjoy breakfast on the garden decking and some evening meals were had in the garden taking in the view over the river. We did not want to leave! Thanks for having us stay at your wonderful house.
