Angela’s cottage exceeded our expectations. It was well stocked with everything we needed and access to laundry was a bonus. The Muskoka
room was a great spot to enjoy the view and breeze. The cottage is in a great location - a quick drive to Cavendish and other areas of the Island. We hope to return again in the future.

This is not your typical PEI rental spot. I have stayed in PEI a number of times over the past 35 years and this place is by far the nicest. Modern day finishes and air conditioning!!!! Very nice. The VRBO ad is very accurate. Our hostess was very responsive. We had a great time & would certainly recommend.

If you are looking for a quiet & secluded escape overlooking a river and within a short drive to everything and everywhere this is the place. The pictures do not do this place justice. It's perfect and there's no doubt that we will be back!

Very relaxing. Centrally located to many points of interest. Very new/updated and clean. Just a couple of suggestions. Handrail in the shower and a tub mat. Provide fly swatter. Post online , an outside picture of the house making it easier to find.

We had a wonderful stay in Angela's property. She was very communicative. The view was lovely and the space was open and welcoming. Only two very minor things to note - there is no ladder on the dock so if you're jumping in, you have to be sure you're either strong enough to hoist yourself back up or you're willing to swim to the shore (very short distance) through some weeds and seaweed. The other detail was the vacuum was not working so we were limited to sweeping when we wanted to clean. Otherwise, everything was as described in the listing and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Spent 5 days here in September. Good location as it’s close to most of the things we wanted- Charlottetown, music, restaurants, beaches and the bridge. The cottage is well stocked and we hope to return in two years. The cottage is quite large compared to others we’ve rented.

I was happy to provide star ratings for each of the criteria above, which pretty much cover the experience. You have annoyed me, VRBO, by forcing me to add text here. I was going to submit nothing but decided to let you know that this extra step should not be required.

Beautiful Riverside Stay!
We loved our stay at Angela’s cottage! It should be noted for future guests that there is now AC, so no need to worry in the future! The cottage was beautifully decorated but per other reviews, there were areas lacking updates (bathroom mostly). It should also be noted that there are very little essentials in the home and we had to buy everything from salt and pepper to toilet paper…so just remember that when arriving, as there are little to no stores close by to obtain such things for a reasonable cost. The property itself was beautiful, the dock was lovely and our children loved swimming there as well! All said we would definitely stay in this beautiful property again!

Great location
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent. Our three boys enjoyed the property, especially the fire pit and "secret passage" they found connecting two bedrooms through the bedroom closets. The kitchen and living area are beautifully done. We were happy that a heat pump was able to provide some AC because our entire trip we were fortunate to have sunny, hot days. The only drawback to our stay was the unusual amount of earwigs that we noticed in the entire cottage while we were there.

Highly recommend for a family trip
Stayed for 4 days at this property with my parents sibling and partner, everything was super clean and well stocked, everything was included from utensils and plates to towels and chairs to take to the beach or outdoors, the property is water front down the lawn, the hill is kind of steep to the water plus has stairs going down so i don’t recommend if you have mobility issues and are looking for a water front property, otherwise the location is super nice and private but also close to tourist areas (cavendish) and the inside is amazing and modern, I’d for sure rent again!

Lovely beach house near Stanley Bridge
Thank you Angela for the lovely stay at the cottage. The view from the living room window down to the river was amazing and one day we spotted a large bald eagle in the tree. The house was comfortable and perfect for my husband and myself. We hope to come back again

An alright listing
We stayed here and found the place to be decent, but not sure if it was worth the cost. While it is 'modern' in parts, it's largely the kitchen and living room that have been updated, with the remainder of the house much more rustic. There isn't air conditioning, which we would expect for the price tag (our own fault for not looking at the listing close enough). The windows were a bit older and we had a couple incidents of bugs getting in. Basement is unfinished and where the laundry is located.
Having said that, the location is great, the view and patio area are amazing and exactly as advertised. It's very private and quiet, and would be a relaxing stay for anyone who is looking for what is described.

Autumn Leaves
The cottage looked like the photos and it was so nice to sit and view the river both in the sunshine and with a bit of rain. Everything in the cottage was well appointed and laneway (part gravel/tar) was a real plus. Easy location to travel around the island and certainly a great place to spend time. We enjoyed our time at this lovely cottage and hope to return in the future at a different time of the year. The cottage allows for privacy, lots of birdwatching along with peace and quiet. Great place to spend time.

WOW! The view through the HUGE windows in the living room was amazing.... right through the trees, you can see the dock, the water, the (i think) oyster farming. The night sky was also breathtaking, and the wrap around the porch/deck really made for some relaxing times. The location was very quiet... all we heard at night were the crickets and other forest animals! A few foxes visited us throughout the day and night! At times, we found it a little too isolated as we couldn't even see our next neighbours, but I think that's our city biases popping through! The place is minutes to Cavendish and wonderful beaches, which is why we chose this location to begin with.Inside, the kitchen and living room were something out of a home magazine! Updated, stylish, uncluttered, and comfy. After a week, it really did feel like a second home. The kitchen was fully functional and had everything we needed to do the cooking and cleaning. The living room was spacious and the windows were a highlight for us! The bedrooms were also updated and comfy... beds not too hard and not too soft. My son loved the bunk bed! Tons of closet and drawer space. Angela also had a very well stocked beach and bathroom towel set, and a few cooler bags and icepacks that we could take to the beach! The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars boiled down to the littlest of details. We were hoping for a little more water pressure from the shower in the bathroom. And at night time, the only way to ensure that we stayed cool and comfortable was if the windows and bedroom doors were open (it was stuffy if we closed the doors for some privacy), so a few fans would have been nice.Overall, a location that would recommend to others! Angela was also very informative with all our communication, and her welcome package was on point! Thanks for being a great host!

Beautiful setting
We enjoyed staying at Edgecomb. It is a great location - close enough to Cavendish, but tucked away along a peaceful river. We loved our time on PEI!

Boaters Paradise
There is no place like the Stanley Bridge area for boating. Angela and Shawn’s property with its own private dock certainly did not disappoint. And after a day on the water, the cottage is spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable for a family to spread out and enjoy the view from its many windows. Thank you both for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. -The Lee Family

Wonderful place to relax
We had an amazing week at the cottage, wonderful view of the river, secluded and very peaceful. Foxes, squirrels and chipmunks run across the wrap around deck on a regular basis. Owners are friendly and helpful. We did not want to leave and will be going back. Perfect location and beautiful place!

Wonderful, quiet vacation spot!
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this place. Excellent location if you're looking for a peaceful, secluded property with a small private waterfront/beach. Place was extremely clean and well supplied with towels, kitchenware (including for toddlers), bedding, hair dryer, shampoo, etc. Very spacious. Great view of the river. Found live jellyfish and lots of small mussels at low tide. Has large deck and BBQ, outdoor seating, and fire pits. Lots of parking space. Quick drive to Cavendish, North Rustico, New Glasglow and Malpeque Bay. Highly recommend this place!

Great property.. great potential for a rental..not there yet
This is a partially newly renovated property. The owners have done a nice reno for the owning it less than a year but it has a lot more to do. The property and water view and access is great. The deck is very rotted and needs replacing which we didn’t know before arrival. A chair my husband was sitting in collapsed and at first we thought the chair broke but the leg of the chair went right through the deck. No injuries occurred but we both were covered in red wine. My white sneakers are no longer white. The big issue was we had no heat. The mornings were cold...frost one morning...and the furnace was not working properly. We contacted Angela after my handy husband checked out the furnace and determined the fan to blow the warm air around was not coming on. It was a Sunday. She text that they couldn’t get anyone on a Sunday but her sister in law brought a space heater. The space heater really didn’t do much in such a large space. We never heard from Angela again. No one came to fix the furnace. The bedding was sparse. No warm blankets. I was cold at night. Too cold to shower in the mornings. There is a fireplace but no firewood or axe. We were very disappointed that nothing was done. We wanted to enjoy our time in PEI so we choose not to make further contact This makes me question how committed the owners are to this rental business. We are avid users of vrbo and we have never had an issue not dealt with. There are zero pantry items. Even the salt and pepper are almost empty. I couldn’t find a dust pan. No strainer or hot pads. One small cutting board. Given the situation I really should be refunded some of our money. Once Angela has completed their renovation, works out some kinks and stalks the pantry it will be awesome. Great potential but we were very disappointed.

Peaceful place near beautiful beaches, and lovely countryside.
We had a lovely stay in Stanley bridge. The cottage was fresh, clean and airy. Enjoyed morning coffee watching the sunrise across the river and herons feeding at the beach. The first thing the kids did was run down to the water to collect shells and surprisingly 2 starfish ! Carr’s restaurant down the way was great for food, service and view. Couldn’t get the kids to do bridge jump into the river but always fun to watch others. We were able to visit a different beach everyday from well traveled to quieter ones . A light house visit on the single stormy day was perfect. And of course Anne of Green Gables house nearby as one of our touristy things to do was good fun too. The cottage was a beautiful place to come home to with nice bbq on deck overlooking the river. Thank you for a lovely memorable stay. We will hopefully make this a yearly tradition .

Highly recommend! Amazing location and tasteful renovation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very obvious this is a new Reno. Very minor things like BBQ but limited/no BBQ utensils, broom but no dust pan, no kitchen staples like tin foil or things you wouldn’t necessarily buy while on vacation from out of province/country. Overall these aren’t good reasons not to book this incredible spot! Highly recommend!
