About this villa rental
This stately 5,600 square foot house has all the amenities for a wonderful family gathering. The large living area includes 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Each master suite has a new comfy king size mattress and is equipped with large flat screen HD TV's. The other bedrooms feature new scrumptious queen and/or new soft firm extra long twin beds and are equipped with flat screen HD TV's. Day beds and trundle beds throughout accommodate various family sleeping arrangements.
For entertainment, the first floor has a fully equipped Sports Bar with pool table, foos ball table and Wi gaming station. Of course the Gulf waters offer plenty of fun just splashing in the waves, body surfing, or getting on with a myriad of other aquatic activities.
The two gulf side patios each feature plenty of lounging on the many sling style chaise lounges as well as plenty of dining seating. These patios surrounded by the lush tropical gardens and natural beach foliage in the sand make for the ideal space to relax to pleasant sounds of the surf. When it comes times to dine, a propane gas grill makes gulf side meal preparation as swift as a gulf breeze.
More traditional fare can always be prepared in one of the two fully equipped kitchens; the main kitchen on the second floor with large dining table and counter top seating, or the full kitchen attendant to the Sports Bar on the first level allowing for easy patio dining access.
The second floor deck also offers dining seating along with comfy cushioned conversational seating. And the views, especially the sunsets, are spectacular!
In the Spanish architectural style, all bedrooms have full length openings on to a small terrace allowing for nice lighting and warm gulf breezes.
Truly for owners, Heidi and Art, in this remarkable place the old Spanish axiom applies,
"Mi Casa, Su Casa."

I can not say enough good things about Casa Bonita!! It was so perfect for our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children). The location can not be beat, and the beach and pool areas were fabulous!! The house had every amenity we could want or need. The owner was very responsive throughout the booking process and helpful with all our questions. We were met at the house by Janie who gave us a tour and explained everything we would need to know about the property. There were so many extras - just an abundance of care was taken to provide us with the best experience. This vacation was seamless and we are already planning to visit again next year - great property, no complaints!!

This was a family trip. The area has many different things to do for everyone. The house is great for hanging out with a group of people either at the beach or the pool.

Came to Casa Bonita to see my son who works for the Detroit Lions and celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. Beach and Pool were awesome! Room everywhere!!

The house was very spacious and the layout was good. The balcony was very large with plenty of room for everyone. It overlooks the pool and beautiful view of the beach. The large lower patio was covered and right by the pool. There were many pool and beach toys for the kids The beach was just steps away from the fenced backyard. It was like our private beach. My husband has mobility issues and the elevator was definitely a plus. It had plenty of beach towels and paper products. The game room was a lot of fun for the kids. It definitely needs updating, woodwork paint and some TLC but it was clean. Internet service is not very good. We would definitely go back there!

Great property. Quiet neighborhood. The beach space is awesome, with no fighting for space. The pool is great when you’re tired of the sand and surf
The game room/patio is perfect in the evenings for everyone
Close to great restaurants and grocery stores are close
The ultimate vacation destination

The location right next to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood was really pleasant. The house needs a little bit of minor repair work (broken tiles and flickering lights), but was overall nicely appointed and very comfortable.

I can't say enough about the location of this property. So convenient to step from the property onto the beach, especially with small children. Our family enjoyed our stay in this house with lots of room to spread out or gather on the patio or balcony for time together. As others have stated, the house may be dated to some extent and may need a little TLC in places, but nothing about the house would hinder us from returning to enjoy this beautiful property and beach.

House exceeded our expectations. Location and outdoor spaces were incredible! House was well equipped and very clean. Be sure to reach out to Walter ahead of arrival day for check in appointment. We hadn’t gotten any information and had to do check in virtually. It was very hard to follow instructions and navigate a dark, unfamiliar house. Be aware spa hours are 5-11 PM.

Our 3-generation family stayed here for a week. The good: incredible location, the pool , backyard and beach are great. The house is large and the barroom area downstairs was a lot of fun. The bad: Two of the five bedrooms have a curtain and no door- for the downstairs bedroom this was ok but there was no privacy at all in the fifth BR upstairs. The house was very worn in places- example, our bathroom door was patched by duct tape and there were missing tiles in the floor. Also a bit heavy on the rules, but overall responsive hosts, a good stay and a good vacation.

5 bedrooms with additional twin beds so everyone has a place to sleep. Couches that pulled out made even more sleeping space. Two full kitchens and TVs pretty much in every room. Upper deck is very big with great ocean and beach views. Direct access to beach.

My review is similar to Megan O above. The beach is fantastic and the backyard pool/spa area is very nice. However, the house itself, while generously sized, is way overdue for a major remodel and even some basic maintenance work. Besides a few kitchen appliances, pretty much everything else appears decades old and is showing its age. The bathrooms, for instance, looked and functioned as though they were from 1988.
[I know the owner may dispute this but we too noticed a roof leak during a downpour (water dripping thru ceiling of upstairs deck onto patio furniture) and the gutters are falling apart. I don't know that I would blow that off as "not a problem" if it were my house.]
Regardless, in summary the property is well-located right on the beach and has a nice pool but the house itself has been neglected for years and is well overdue for repairs and updating. We loved the local area and the outdoor space but were disappointed the house wasn't as nice as we had hoped.

We loved our stay at Casa Bonita. The house was very clean & comfortable, and the location was perfect! The house had everything to make our vacation great. The pool was nice with plenty of chairs, towels, and inflatables. The second floor deck with the ocean view and lights around the pool & spa in the evenings were a plus. Art was easily accessible and answered our questions quickly.

This location was fantastic and perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pool and the beach immensely. Unfortunately, the house is not at all well maintained and we rain into many issues over our seven days including broken A/C in the master rendering it unusable for the first day, broken freezer, broken refrigerator, a leak in the ceiling, and cockroaches. For the high price tag, I would expect a much better maintained home.

The pictures and other reviews were accurate. Plus-great spot on the beach. wonderful views from the deck. Nice landscaping, pool, jacuzzi. Very spacious and comfortable house. Minus- house is rough around the edges, dated, funky and some of the lights don't work. Didn't like that the jacuzzi could only be used after 5:30. It's a pet friendly beach rental so one doesn't expect super luxury. Short drive to restaurants but not really walking distance to anything. It's on a busy road so some of the bedrooms have some road noise.

Excellent location. Beautiful views. The house needs some work but the house was wonderful for our family. The grandkids had the best time.

You can tell its a rental property some items need adressing but we were there for the location and it was perfect. The views and pool made up for any deficiencies in the house.

This house was easy to get to and right on the water with a great beach out back and a fabulous pool for the kids that was warm with heat included in rental. The hot tub only turned on from 5pm to 10pm which worked ok for us but might bother some people. The house was dated and had some quirks as a result light switches that didn’t work, or didn’t turn on anything and some areas the hot water took forever to warm up. Nothing that wasn’t manageable. The rooms were as described online with plenty of room for a large family. The game room was a fun addition for all.

My family and I enjoyed the perfect beach vacation at Casa Bonita.
It a lovely, spacious house boasting ample kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas . But the real treasure was ... the pool!
All the kids splashed, swam and even improved their swimming skills.
Also we thought the porches, both up and down, really contributed to the whole outdoor fun and relaxation mode. And access to the beach was just a step away. Altogether a delightful property.
Very convenient.

The Casa Bonita is a very large home steps from a beautiful stretch of quiet beach and surrounded by gorgeous landscaping. The house interior was dated, but very comfortable and commodious for our daughters, their families, and us - ten in all. The upstairs balcony, the pool, and the beach area were the primo spots for us - just beautiful!

Great pool / hot tub area off of a game room. Beach directly off of deck with gulf water 200 feet away. We had no reason to leave other than groceries and they are within minutes.

This was a magical place. You couldn't ask for a better location. It truly was like having our own resort. Now the whole family wants to make this an annual event. Art was so nice and showed us so many great things about the property and suggestions for places to go. We loved it and will be back.

This house is directly on the beach with a wonderful pool. The beach was not crowded during spring break and there were several restaurants within walking distance. The house was extremely spacious and well equipped. The negatives are that the interior of the house so old and worn that it needs a complete makeover. Mold in the showers, kitchen very grungy, bath towels thin like an old gym locker room. That said, we had a great time and the house had everything we needed. Outdoor space can't be beat.

Biggest decision each day was pool or beach or pool ..... beautiful location.

If you are looking for a getaway with a private pool, outside amenities and basically your own beach area....this is the place for you! To be able to walk out to the beach from the pool, sit on the private deck, grill out and relax in the beautiful salt water pool....it was amazing! The view is spectacular! Coming from the cold snowy state of WI, this was an awesome vacation! Great restaurants to walk to as well! We purchased groceries from their local Publix and Winn Dixie and basically made most of our meals. Clearwater was about a $22 UBER ride for a great pirate boat ride! We also went into John's Pass on the FREE Trolley (free during COVID safety measures) for shopping, dinner & drinks. The only downfall for us was that the grill needed attention, as we had to work on it before we could use it and the timing of check in and check out. Our flights did not accommodate their times, so we had to do a lot of shifting of what to do before we could check in and out. Lesson learned on scheduling our flights for next time!

We stayed at Casa Bonita for 6 weeks and couldn't have been happier. The house is better than the pictures, the outside living area is incredible, and the location right on a great beach can't be beat. The owner (Art) and Case Bonita "team" (Janie and Chris) were responsive and extremely helpful. If you are looking for a place on the beach this is a great option in a great location.

The photos don’t do the property justice! So close to the beach and so many great areas to enjoy. If I come back I’d definitely stay here again!
