This property worked well for 3 friends to meet somewhat equi-distant from our homes in three states. It was all we needed to spend time together and explore Roanoke. We had great weather and enjoyed the outdoor patio in the evening..

Excellent location, easy to walk to all the delights of Grandin Village. The parking spot is a plus although we saw ample street parking available as well. Big, nicely outfitted kitchen. Very quiet and relaxing stay.

I've stayed at Irene's apartment twice and it's been perfect both times. It is clean, the kitchen is well- stocked, the beds are comfy, and the location is perfect. It is a great value!

The Raleigh Court neighborhood and the property manager were very welcoming. The apartment is located in a quiet and safe area that is a very short walk to Grandin Village. The greenway is also walking distance from the apartment. I stayed for several weeks and always felt comfortable coming and going.

Walking distance to “Grandin” town of Roanoke
Great neighborhood. Wd had a lovely stay within walking distance of a cute coffee shop and restaurants. It is a First floor apt., so we did hear footsteps on hardwood floors and faint voices on 2nd fl above us- during the night- which woke us up. It was a nice size apt. with a kitchen which is better than a hotel stay.

It was a great location and fit our needs. Easily walked to several restaurants and close drive to great hiking and Black Dog Salvage! Thanks for offering your place to us!

We enjoyed staying in a lovely apartment within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Grandin. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the necessities including an excellent assortment of pots and pans, plenty of silverware and drinking glasses, etc. The king size sleigh bed was super comfortable as was the additional bed in the other bedroom. The internet and television worked perfectly. I highly recommend this lovely property!

This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay while visiting family. Clean and comfortable. Like all Grand
Old Ladies, there was clearly some age with the building. The area was great. Furnishings were quality. Glad to have off-street parking. We ate out so did not use kitchen. Scratch Biscuits and Our Daily Bread had great breakfast. Thank you, Irene, for sharing this period gem.

We enjoyed staying in this apartment that was so walkable to the Grandin area. There was plenty of space for our family. The only draw back was the AC was one window unit without direct access in the sleeping areas. It did get a little warm at night. This would be a great place to stay in the Spring or Fall as it is a beautiful area and has everything that you need. Irene was quick to get back to us and made the trip easy. I recommend it for those who don't need "fancy" but like to feel safe, welcomed and have a great walkable location.

Cabin in the city
This apartment puts off a cabin feel in a quiet neighborhood in Roanoke. If you’re wanting to get unplugged this is a good place to do it. It was a short walk to the theatre, coffee and a delicious burger at Farmburgesa.

Wonderful property owner
Irene is a great host. Easy to get in touch with and very friendly.

There were four adults staying in a space intended more for two to three, so we were extra cozy in this cozy apartment, but we didn’t mind at all. Our host’s were outstanding and that made our stay perfect!
We went out a lot, including to the owners yummy Mediterranean restaurant, but also sometimes cooked at the apartment and watched Netflix. We would recommend bringing your own air mattress if you have four adults staying- it made sleeping arrangements much more comfortable.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet, safe area, and who likes older historic places.

Efficient condo, easy to access with two entrances. The smart TV had very clear and concise instructions and was very easy to use; this was important to me because my 2 yr old daughter loves her cartoons. The heat worked very well and I loved the small radiator in the bathroom. There was a chipped soap dish in the bathtub which was definitely a hazard to my daughter during bath time. This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay with our daughter while we visited family in town. I will say that during our check in, I was extremely stressed when we were not provided the check in or entry code information in a timely matter. Check in stated 4pm and we didn't arrive until 5pm, yet we still hadn't received the codes. However at 3pm I messaged the property owner and she responded very quickly. We did have the entry code by the time we arrived.

Such a pleasant neighborhood!
We loved our stay. Being able to walk to quality stores, such as a health food store and great boutiques, was the highlight of our stay. The building is older, but we were comfortable and I am used to that being from Europe. It has its charm. The only thing I would say is to not plan on using the futon for an adult. It might be ok for a small child. And may be adding some cooking oil would be helpful. Coconut oil lasts a very long time :) Irene was great with communication and accommodating. We would definitely come back. Thank you!

Nice, clean, comfortable efficiency apartment for the price of a decent hotel room. This ones a no brainer!

Grandin Village Convenience
Retired couple spent two weeks in this vintage Grandin Village apartment. A choice of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner within walking distance. Checked out the treasures at Black Dog Salvage and explored the greenway. Location was convenient for us to visit Southwest Roanoke and Salem. Irene was available to answer any question and even brought us fresh fruit from the Farmers Market!

Short Stay in Roanoke
This property was charming. The appliances were in great shape and the kitchen was well-equipped. There was plenty of natural light and the bedroom was quite spacious. The location was ideal. I wish we had spent more time in Roanoke, but our main reason for traveling was VA Tech graduation. Irene was the ideal host in every way. I would definitely stay there again.

Grand Ole Time
Our stay in the Historic Grandin Court area was memorable not only for our return trip to Roanoke but because of the convenience, efficiency and cleanliness of our 1st floor loft on Windsor St. just two blocks away from great restaurants, a wonderful coffee house and a trip down memory lane at the restored Grandin Theatre. The owner Irene went out of her way to provide a handy, well-stocked kitchen and an excellent Krups coffeemaker. Would not hesitate to recommend her place as it is ideally located to downtown and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Clean, comfortable, and well maintained
This is an older building, nicely renovated and well maintained. My son and his family live in the area, and do not have a lot of room for guests, so we stayed during our visit. It was perfect for our needs and we'll likely return the next time we visit.
For the price of a room at the Hilton, we got everything we would get there, but a whole apartment, and not just a room. If you're not interested in room service, this is the way to go!

Great apartment in perfect location
Visiting family for 10 days in Roanoke, this apartment in Grandin was perfect for my husband and I. We are looking to relocate here and this is the neighborhood we want to live in. The apartment is right around the corner from Grandin Village and it was a short 5 minute walk to the Grandin Theatre, eclectic shops and the Roanoke Co-Op. We walked every day and even down to the Greenway, which is very close too. They even had the first annual Winterfest street festival while we were there which was lovely. The covered parking in the back was a lifesaver bc it rained a few days when we were there. The apartment was very clean, warm and cozy. It has radiator heat so even when it dropped to 19 degrees outside, no one was cold in this place! Irene is kind and looked after us. She even brought us some coffee the day of our arrival which was very sweet. The apartment was very homey and comfortable and reminded my husband and I of when we were first married. The laundry is in the basement and is coin operated so bring quarters. It was only $1.50 which is def reasonable compared to the Grandin laundromat which is $5.00. We had a extremely nice visit and even extended it by one day. Thank you Irene, we are looking forward to staying with you again!

Irene was extremely helpful. The apartment was very comfortable, felt more like home than a hotel room, and was perfect for a family of three.

Roanoke getaway
We enjoyed our recent stay in Roanoke at the Windsor Lofts. The apartment was conveniently located near restaurants and shops. There was plenty of room for my teenage son and myself. The futon bed in the office was perfect for him and gave him his own space. It was also near the Blue Ridge Parkway and was the perfect starting point to view fall colors.
Irene was great to work with. She answered all questions promptly and had the unit set up for our arrival.
