About this cabin rental
Escape to wine, water, nature, and cozy cabin comfort that's a short trip from San Francisco (1hr 15 min) and only minutes to charming downtown Healdsburg and Dry Creek Valley wineries! Situated directly on the beautiful Russian River (you have direct access to the river), the cabin is a perfect getaway for wine tasting, river fun (private beach, canoe/SUPs), and Healdsburg access (9 min). Built in 1949, we've kept the cabin's rustic charm, but updated it with modern design, conveniences, and comfort. Perfect for couples or a family.
Recently updated, the cabin maintains its rustic redwood charm, but has all of the modern conveniences and comforts you're looking for.
- Full kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, and "touch" control faucet, and breakfast bar
- Large living / dining room with table for 4, big windows for great views, and a queen sofa sleeper (with a good mattress!)
- Master bedroom loft with king bed (Casper mattress)
- Updated full bath (no tub) on main floor
- Large upper deck with amazing views
- Lower level bedroom (separate access) with cozy bed nooks (1 queen, 1 double), full-size washer/dryer, TV (w/ Apple TV), half bath, and private lower deck
- Outdoor shower, easy access to private beach, and other gear (canoe, 2 SUPs, adult life jackets, beach chairs)
Our private beach where you can enjoy soaking in the sun, paddling in our canoe or paddle boards, or taking a dip (there's a great swimming hole right in front of our place for a good summer cool-off!). Please note the river's current can be strong even in summer and there are no lifeguards.
We are eager to help guide your stay to ensure you have a fabulous time both at the cabin, and enjoying the area. If you have any issues during your stay, our property manager (Shelley) lives across the street (
Please note that the downstairs bedroom (with the 2 beds and TV) has a separate entrance, outside and down stairs, from the main level.
Other things to note:
While we certainly have added new appliances and features, this is still a cabin, thus there are a couple things to be aware of:
- Help us keep the septic system working well by only flushing TP
- Cell phone service can be spotty in the cabin (maybe a good thing?), but, if desperate, can be found if you walk down the road a house or two. Wifi however is very stable and accessible around the cabin!
- Windows are single-pane, which means poor sound insulation (for passing cars) and potential drafts if the weather is really cold (heater/cooling units in both levels though)
- We've kept the old animal mounts (moose, deer, duck) that came with the cabin and are part of its "hunting cabin" history. Please don't book if that will upset you.
Maximum overnight occupancy: 6 persons (not including children under 3 years of age)
Maximum cars: 2 (there is no nearby street parking)
Quiet hours must be observed from 9pm - 7am and no outdoor amplified sound is allowed
Guests must leave the property when a voluntary evacuation order is issued for the evacuation zone.

Beautiful little cabin right on the river. A great way to spend some hot summer days relaxing, swimming, and taking in nature.

My dad, brothers and I stayed for a long weekend. It was wonderful. We spent some time in Healdsburg one day with a bike ride, used the property's canoe and stand up paddle boards another day, and then did a wine tour the last. We each had our own bed, and the furnishings/kitchen/deck were great for the evening we grilled some steaks. What a short term rental should be!

We had our eyes on this place after some friends stayed there 2 years ago. It did not disappoint! Adorable cabin, plenty of space, fully stocked kitchen, boats galore and a perfect location. We will return again!

We had an amazing trip. The property was clean and quaint. The camp-like atmosphere of the cabin and the access to the river really made our stay memorable. One of our group left behind items and the manager was very helpful in sending it back. Thanks again! We will be back.

Our family had the best time staying at this cozy cabin - our boys did NOT want to leave the river. We fished (got one!), caught minnows, swam, paddled, floated, and had a picnic down the river bend. The cabin is stocked with all the accessories you will need on the river. The owner was very friendly, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. One tip - be sure to get yourself a delightful treat from Wicked Slush during your stay!

Lovely cabin just above the river where we saw egrets, otters, and a long list of other birds and animals. Everything was easily laid out for us. We only hope we left things as nicely as it was left for us.

Beautiful property with a lot of character. Perfect for multiple families. Myself, my wife and sons stayed in the upper cabin, while my sister and her daughters stayed in the lower part of the cabin. We all liked that we were close but had our own space/privacy as well. Cabin is toddler friendly, our 2 year old was not able to escape because there are multiple gates about waist high that he could not open, which was relieving for us. The outdoor shower was a great perk, kids used it to clean up before coming inside. And I’d like to commend the property owners for using high end brand shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. and not some cheap hotel soaps. And there was no need to rent canoes or kayaks because there are multiple on the property for occupant use. The propane grill was another highlight for me. The river was good for swimming and fishing, there are some pretty deep areas where you can jump off the rocks.

Wonderful family friendly stay
We had to in the loft and two on the sofa bed with 2 others downstairs. Perfect for 3 adults, 2 teens and 1 preteen. Our hosts were very responsive to all emails and inquiries. River was great and kayak and paddle boarding was lots of fun. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect Location, Adorable Cabin
The cabin is right on the river, with a great beach and all the gear to enjoy your time (SUPs, kayak, canoe, beach towels, beach chairs). The stretch of river down-river from the cabin is beautiful to explore.
The cabin had everything we needed with comfortable beds and bedding, a well-stocked kitchen, and lots of games that were nice when the weather turned cold and rainy. Highly recommend!

Wine Country River
We loved this property - perfect for a weekend away with close friends who look forward to bunking up! Felt like summer camp. Spent the days wine tasting nearby and then swiming and paddling on the river in the afternoon. Healdburg is just a 5 min drive but you feel like you are on a romote part of the russian river. We all loved the cabin - had charm but was clean and cozy. Will def go back

Perfect!
The house is beautiful! Everything you could imagine you would need was there. Down to even a beach umbrella that you can stake to the ground so it does not blow away in the breeze. The water was cool on the warm days, but warm enough on the cooler days to stay in as well. Everything you need to recharge.

Enchanting Cabin
We had a fantastic time at the cabin. It's adorable and perfectly outfitted for a wonderful stay. The access to the river makes it so easy to have a relaxing time and the proximity to wonderful restaurants and stores means that you can venture out, but you might not want to because it's so great to hang out there.

Lovely
I and my group loved all of it. The downstairs heavily favored and deck and view. The house never did get cozy though and did not want to use space heater. Other than that wonderful!

Five star stay
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The property was exactly as described, clean, renovated, and nicely decorated. It was stocked with everything we could need or want: linens, toiletries, cookware, spices, board games, and even a yoga mat. Abundance of water toys - we canoed, kayaked, and fished each day. Great location right on the river with easy access and an adorable family of river otters across the bank. Close to Healdsburg Square and vineyards. Easy arrival and departure procedures. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to interact with. As expected from the listing, I did not have cell reception (TMobile) but my husband did (Google Fi). Internet signal was strong and stable, and I was able to have Zoom meetings and wifi cell calls with no problem. Would definitely return. Thanks Britta & Blake for sharing your beautiful and fun home!

Amazing experience and communication
The owners were incredibly communicative and understanding due to the fires and smoke in the area and gave us daily updates leading up to the reservation. They left us a bottle of wine and answered all our questions right away. The cleanliness was top notch and we felt extremely comfortable and safe. Will 100% return! Thank you So much Britta!

Lovely cabin on the river
We picked this cabin for the location and loved being right on the river. We enjoyed seeing the passing wildlife, such as the soaring blue herons. Beds were comfortable and the deck was great for outdoor dinners. The board games were fun too. We even took the SUPs out for a spin. The outdoor shower under the redwood trees hit the spot! The cabin felt private, but town was still easily accessible.

Great location, well equipped, responsive owner/property manager.
Great place. less than 10 minutes to Healdsburg for breakfast/dinner/walking wine-food pairing tours. Far enough away that you don't realize how close you are.
House is well equipped.
The section of river below the house is perfect for swimming, paddle boarding (equipment provided) and canoeing (also provided). Very mild current.
The owner/property manager was very responsive, friendly, and available.

Thanksgiving in Russian River
Property is as described. Having to go to the outside to get to lower floor is definitely a downside in winter but was accurately described so no complaints. Great kitchen and super flexible owners. We moved outdoors table inside to make room for seven guests for Thanksgiving dinner and owner was ok (we had 5 stay overnight and 2 friends from the area join for dinner). Kitchen is super well stocked. Even in winter the river is so gorgeous and my boys went fishing (didn't catch anything) and canoe-ing in late November! Little slice of paradise. The location and view can't be beat.

Quick Great Visit
We stayed here for two quick nights on our recent trip to the Healdsburg area and could not have been happier. The house was clean, perfectly located and had very easy access to a great part of the river. Would stay here for longer next time!
