We had a wonderful time. House was beautiful and clean. Location of the river was perfect. Kayaking, tubing, fishing etc. We enjoyed meals and family time on the porch and around the fire pit every evening. Host was so pleasant and accommodating when needed. Definitely will return.

My Family had a great time at this home. There is a nice large yard, easy access to kayak, plenty of room in the house for my 6 adult children and 8 grandchildren. Short distance to the Lake, Elk viewing and swimming. This is definitely a place we will stay in the future.

Our extended family group had a terrific time at the Cozy Wilcox River Lodge property. We had lots of room and the house was great for all of us. We had tons of fun in the river, also. With ages ranging from 3 to 87, we all were able to relax and have a very nice stay on the beautiful property. We also were able to set up a badminton court and the little ones really enjoyed that too. Thank you!

This house has some good features: large kitchen, numerous gathering areas, loads of sleeping space, comfortable beds, proximity to river. There are lovely needlepoint chair cushions in the dining room. However,, the house needs some care. The pictures are somewhat misleading;for instance, the house sits right on the road and the gradual slope to the river is on the other side of the road.

If you have a large group and want to be able to all stay under one roof but have your own space this is definitely the property for you!
The lodge itself is great and the outside area (especially this time of year) is absolutely beautiful. My only regret is that we didn't have a longer time or better weather to enjoy all the outdoor space (porch, deck, fire pit, walking trails, sit by the river etc.).
I've already had two from my group ask about setting up a time to go back again and really get to enjoy everything the property has to offer.

Trouble with lockbox was my own doing. Internet not strong, however, in rural area like this no one has strong internet. Should look in Star Link. A great time was had by all.

FANTASTIC! We rented the house for our daughters wedding in elk county. Reception was at the Dam Inn (AMAZING TOO). This rental house was so perfect for our family. We had a full house and such a great weekend we will never forget! Tons of memories we will carry with us for the rest of our lives! Amazing scenery! We want to go back someday! Highly recommend!

Family reunion
Great stay. We enjoyed the yard, firepit, the river and trails. The house is divided into three separate 'wings' which allowed some separation. Kitchen was large as that is always a meeting place.

Family Reunion
This place was perfect. Huge house with everything you need for either a short or long stay. Hiking and fishing just outside the door, the sound of the East Baranch gurgling over the rocks while sitting on the front porch washed away any worries of the day. We will be back again for sure. Thank you for renting exactly what is advertised!

This home
We were thrilled when we arrived at the Riverside Inn! The home is so spacious and we had more than plenty of room for our family group of 7! The property itself could not have been more stunning with the stream running directly off the back porch and the fire pit area! I would have loved to have a lounge chair or a hammock to tie up between the trees, I could have taken a nap out by the stream! We enjoyed the fire pit just about every evening and made s’mores and hot dogs one evening! This home
Is truly a hidden GEM! My family went fishing during the day and about caught their limit
each day and came home and we played corn hole by the stream! We also visited the Elk County Viewing Area as well as the Kinsua State Park! Seeing the history of the Kinsua Bridge was very interesting! The owner of the property Ron was available for anything we needed and the home was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. With two stoves and two refrigerators, it made it extremely convenient and we only had to run back to town one time! The owners also supplied a wine refrigerator with their soon to be winery’s fabulous wine! We enjoyed several bottles during our stay and loved each one! We hope
to be able to get back out again to relive the memories we have already made at the Riverside Inn! Thank you for sharing this beautiful
Property with us! Such a blessing! Nature at its best!

We enjoyed our stay. House was lovely. There were several everyday items that seemed to be missing from the kitchen, a measuring cup, a pasta strainer, and a decent can opener. The door leading outside in one of the bedrooms was very difficult to open. Otherwise, wonderful place!

New Years Getaway
A bunch of our friends wanted to get away for New Year’s. A friend of ours recommended this place so we decided to try it. It worked out great for our needs. There was plenty of room for everyone. The place was very nice and the owners were very accommodating. I would recommend it to anyone with a group of people. The only downfall to the place was the stairs to the upper loft. The stairs were very steep and winding which made it impossible for several of our group to use. Other than that it was great.

A Riverside dream
To celebrate my 40th birthday me and 11 of my friends descended on this location during Fall for a weeks worth of board games, hikes, campfires and friendship. The house was large and spacious and its character was great. My friends and I made lasting memories wandering the nature, sitting on the porch and enjoying the lodge like great room. The area was quiet and bedecked in fall colours, the hosts were warm and inviting and helpful. We even joked that would should do a 5 year reunion when i turn 45. Definitely recommend this place

Great Getaway
Wonderful place for a family or group. Plenty of beds, bathrooms, and parking. The sound of the nearby stream very relaxing.

Nice river. Not so private.
The pictures are nice but don’t show that the house is right on a busy road. Six a.m. trucks wake us up every morning since it was very hot and the windows were all open because there is no air conditioning . . . but plenty of fans. That having been said, we loved the house, the fire pit, the yard and the river. We brought 14 bikes (there were 4 in the shed), five kayaks and four tubes. The river was just barely high enough. Last week in July and one more week without a big rain and the water will be too low for those activities. Thankfully it was a very wet season. The kids (ages 5 to 15) all had an awesome time as did all the adults! Thank you Ron and Jackie!

was a nice weekend to see the sites of Elk Country
We went to Elk Country to see the elk of Benezette area. We had three couples and a single in our party. although this location is a bit distant from Benezette (approx 45 min drive) - everything worked out well.
Ron was a very hospitable host.....sharing a bottle of his homemade wine. We watched the PSU-OSU game on the 60" TV in the living room...and we mostly sat and talked around the large kitchen island.
It is a neat house - right on the river. if you have a large group - this place can handle it!
We drove to the Kinzua Bridge...and also visited Ridgeway and Smethport....
The elk at the Benezette Elk Country Visitor Center also cooperated!

Lovely space, clean and well appointed, fire pit and stream in back extraordinary
We had a fantastic extended family vacation at the Wilcox lodge property. There are lots of bedrooms and areas to sleep, to eat, and to relax. The "big room" has great character, lots of room to hang out, very comfortable. (If your kids are afraid of large mounted moose heads, keep them out.) The property used to be a lodge and has some antique furniture and authentic historical character. Bathrooms are clean and modern. The kitchen is large, well appointed, and can accommodate several cooks. A second refrigerator in the laundry room. It is very practical, lots of storage. Great times every evening on the back deck, with a fire in the fire pit and the creek flowing right behind - so special! Ron was incredibly helpful, visiting each day to make sure everything was all right, advising about activities for us to do in the area. He is a pleasure. There are many great recreation and museum activities within an hour drive, especially in and around the national forest. Be aware the property doesn't have a/c (yet?) so in a heat wave (which we had), the two bedrooms off the dining room can get uncomfortable. But Ron brought fans for us which really cooled things down in the evening. And the big room remained cool for us as long as we kept the windows and shades closed in the day time. Overall, highly recommended.
