Lovely, large, very comfortable home.
The home is very comfortable. It is well stocked with linens, towels, dishes, cooking, and kitchen ware. Close to Westport and Louisburgh. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would rent it again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The location was perfect for our time in Mayo. The house was clean and spacious and the sunsets over Clew Bay were just beautiful! We had a issue with hot water on our first morning and the property manager was easy to contact and the issue resolved. We did find it a challenge for our family not having internet or a telephone at the property.

This will be our fourth visit to this little slice of paradise. The views are to die for , the sunrise and sunsets are spectacular, like watching a canvas being painted.
The house is inviting, comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need and more is within its walls. It’s close to Westport and surrounding area s for you to explore but then again it’s far away from any hustle and bustle if you want to just “ find yourself”.
We are always sad to leave but we know we will always return because it’s worked it’s charm on us and is in our blood forever now!

Relaxation in country comfort
Lovely, large, comfortable accommodations in a beautiful country setting. Amazing views. Within easy driving distance of a variety of options for great pub dining, or groceries for home preparation in the large, well-equipped kitchen. There were only two of us on our stay here in this large place and it was a good escape to relaxation. Definitely recommend.

Kilsallagh cottage.
The location is perfect. 15 mins to Westport, ideally situated for touring and exploring.
The house is clean and comfortable but would benefit from painting and trimming of shrubs in garden.

A splendid stay in the wild and beautiful Mayo.
A very big and comfortable house in a perfect location with no neighbours and fantastic views.

Cozy, rustic, amazing view
We enjoyed our stay at Ard Muire. It worked very well for our family of 5. You need to know before you book it is about 15-20 minutes from Westport. There are little villages very close by, but it is out of town. Also the decor is dated. This is not a problem at all. The furniture is very comfortable, the kitchen is large and fully functional, however if you are looking for fancy and updated it is not. Again this was not a disappointment to us at all. The views are amazing and it is very close to Croagh Patrick. We had a great time here and would definitely stay again.

Shangri-La
What a view. What a wonderfully appointed home. Everything needed to be comfortable and enjoy this area of Ireland. Our ten day stay allowed us to seek new adventures every day using the home as a hub for our visits. The view of Clew Bay was fantastic. Our trips to Knock, Cong, the Lost Valley with the history of the evictions, Connemara National Park, Crough Patrick, and even the really obscure places like the Clapper Bridge gave us a sense of this part of Ireland. Given the opportunity, we would gladly return to this property and would highly recommend to anyone seeking to visit Western Ireland.

Wonderful location and everything you would need in a holiday home.
Our first experience of self catering in this particular area. The house sleeps 7, so there was ample room for just my wife and myself. Large kitchen and dining area and very spacious and comfortable sitting area, and all the equipment you could possibly need for looking after yourself. Quite convenient for Westport and other local amenities, and the views over Clew Bay are quite spectacular. Our only 'negative' comment would be to say that the outside of the house and garden could do with some TLC, but in no way did that spoil our enjoyment of the place - we would definitely consider coming back again.

Comfortable, view perfect
Rest and relaxation were our goals on this vacation. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and were mesmerized by the views of Clew Bay. Had a lovely time exploring around Westport and environs.

Amazing views and prime locaion. Owners are wonderful people.
We spent 3 weeks at the cottage in July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Jim was so helpful and responsive in answering my many quesions prior to our visit. The cottage is in a prime location as a base of operations to plan day tips throughout county Mayo and all of western Ireland which has awesome scenery. We met with relatives in Westport which is only 20 minutes away. Both Wesport and Louisburg are charming towns. We hope to return!

We had a great vacation. Everything was perfect. The house is confortable, full of every kind of households. The 9 places requested are not exactly 9 beds but you have to arrange yourself with the sofas. The best charateristic is the location: between Louisbourgh and Westport, with a wondwerful frontwiew on the sea, the islands and the mountains in the back (Croagh Patrick).

A big thank you for letting us use your lovely holiday home, we have used many but this has to be the best equipped one to date.
The way to discribe this is a real home from home, very comfy, plenty of room, very private and has great ever changing lovely views of clew bay.
John who met up up with us and showed us to the house was the perfect host making us very welcome and is on the end of the phone if there are any questions, a great asset to this property.
Situated between Westport and Louisburgh it is convenient for the shops and beaches as well as a short drive to lots of places of interest.
The icecreams at Old Head Cafe are a must "the biggest we've ever had". The beach at old head is lovely with lovely clean sand and nice views.
My husband likes his fishing so Old Head and Lecanvey were very close and safe.
Would love to come again

we had a family holiday in the house, what a great house had everything we needed and very clean, loads of space inside the house. my son has a wheelchair and was plenty of room space for him to get around. will be looking to book in the near future again. The views were amazing and how much ground you had around the outside of house was great. Was met at the house with the friends owner and any questions we had he was able to answer. The house would be a great place for many different people and of all ages.

Our stay was short but very comfortable, it felt like we were there more than five days. Great house plenty of room and very clean, well equipped it had every thing we needed and more. The views from the house are amazing, very private. With a phone call we made arrangements to meet someone who guided us straight to the property this was great and he was very helpful, everything was well organised and all my questions were answered by the owners of the property prior to our visit . The property is also in an ideal position for Louisburgh and Westport, I would highly recommend visiting the Tavern pub they do excellent food, and if your feeling energetic a walk up Croagh Patrick, do the pub after the walk though the food is so good you will be stuffed. We all had an excellent stay in Ireland, I would recommend this property to my family and friends an excellent place to stay.
