The location was ideal. We really enjoyed only having to make a 5 minute drive to beautiful Starfish Point and Kaibu. The two minute walk to Rum Point and access to the beach/bar/restaurants was great. Also we utilized the kayaks to experience the bio-luminesence which was right out the back door. Nice/clean pool was also refreshing. Easy driving to the East end and North Point. The property was clean and ideal amount of room for our family of five and had everything we needed to make our meals and relax in the screened in porch as we played games. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a great property. Very convenient to the beach and bioluminescent bay was amazing.
We had a problem with the a/c when we checked in, but they responded immediately and fixed the problem right away.

Clean property and nice house. House manager quick to communicate. Downside - Bike tires flat, kayaks leak, beds uncomfortable, not enough toilet paper or paper towels for a long stay, and no working snorkeling gear.

Condo was in a great location. We enjoyed the Bio Bay out back as well as closeness to Rum Point walking distance.

The property was in a great location and we loved the use of the kayaks and bikes! Several restaurants Nearby that were all fantastic and just a walk across the street to the most beautiful beach!

My daughter, teenage grandsons and I recently enjoyed a week in this beautiful home on the bioluminescent bay. Access to the bay was a prime reason for choosing this property and we loved being able to use the kayaks to experience the nightly phenomenon whenever we wanted (until the moon got too bright toward the end of the week). We also used the kayaks to paddle across the sound to the back side of Starfish Point, where we found many starfish and only a couple of other visitors. The condo property was very clean and Joshua, the local property manager, was very responsive to our requests and questions.

Wonderful property with lots of amenities such as 4 kayaks, 5 bicycles, snorkel gear plus more, my wife and I have stayed in different island houses and have never been disappointed, being across the street from Tim point is a bonus, you can take a catamaran from there too snorkel at different places plus great restaurants right there and don’t forget the snorkeling is amazing just to the right of the dock at rum point, make sure you go out just past the dock to see sea turtles and stingrays and big colorful fish

Love the property. Excellent amenities. Love Rum Point beach bar. Used kayak and pool. We had a great time. Will definitely return

We loved our stay at the IH#16. The unit was clean and beautiful inside and out. The location is perfect and we loved the amenities. The whole family kayaked every night in the bio-luminescent bay right off the condo beach. Couldn't ask for more. Definitely come back again when we get a chance.

Beautiful house and great location. We were looking for a relaxing holiday and this was perfect. House was well kept and had everything necessary for our stay. Loved having access to the kayaks and the bikes. Short walk to the beach and to the restaurant at Rum Point. Kaibo restaurant was also close by so we enjoyed their Beach BBQ on Tuesday night. Would highly recommend this property!

We loved the location of this property and the fact that it was on the quieter side of the island but you could still walk and bike to restaurants and activities. The unit itself was clean but had some deferred maintenance items that should be addressed.

Always love staying on this part of the island! A nice property with all the amenities you need.

This amazing place was exactly as described. The beach was across the street and the Bioluminescence Bay was in the backyard. The condo was neat and tidy and had everything you would need. Rum Point is still under construction but there are plenty of lounge chairs available and the beach bar and grill are open.

Quiet area iand excellent space. On a bioluminescent bay and easy walk to the ocean beach.

Our family of five had a wonderful week staying here. We loved being on the quieter side of the island. Literally a one minute walk to the beach at Rum Point and steps from the pool. We took the kayak out multiple times to see the bioluminescent…so cool! Rum Point has a cool vibe with the bar serving good drinks and yummy food available. Just a mile away we visited Starfish Point multiple times and loved the barefoot BBQ at Kiabo (Tuesday nights-reservations required). The weather was perfect every day. Many family memories were made with our 14 and 11 year old daughters and 9 year old son. The owner, Don, was very responsive to my questions prior to leaving. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Wishing we were there now!

Enjoyed the stay and location. Josh was great, the toaster quit working. He had another one in our hands in 30 minutes.
Thank you

This house was exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. It is away from the busier parts of the island, but that is what we wanted. We loved taking the kayaks out on the bay at night. It had everything that we needed. If I were to change any one thing, it would be cushions on the patio chairs as we spent a lot there.

Had a wonderful time at the Island House. It was very clean when we got there, and the host was extremely responsive to any questions we had.

This was the perfect location if you want quiet and beauty. The condo was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Loved the screened porch. We used the canoes to explore the bay and Rum Point area. Snorkeling in Bio Bay was awesome, even though the moon was shining.
We had dinner at Tukka East (don't miss feeding the albatross!), Kaibo, Over the Edge and Southcoast Bar and Grill. It wasn't too long a drive and looking at all the huge houses was interesting. It takes about 50 minutes to Georgetown, but there's so much to look at on the way.
We would definitely stay here again.

This is our third rental of this unit, so that probably says it all. It is well appointed, roomy, clean and well cared for. Excellent Air conditioning, that is much needed in Grand Cayman. Pool is beautiful and everyone we met was friendly making the stay just perfect. Three people in our party stayed in this unit and the rest in a house rental close by. Perfect from start to finish. Sad Rum Point was not open and look forward to the work they are doing to reopen.

Fun in the Caymans
We enjoyed our stay in the Caymans! The on island contact was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions. The condo was comfortable and accommodated my family nicely. The location was a little bit hard because there were not very many restaurants around open. Also the area behind the condo would benefit from having sand instead of rocks and dirt. The water behind the condo is not swimmable. We did enjoy going on the kayaks and riding bikes down to starfish point. The seaweed was bad on the Rum point beach and only the people staying in those condos were allowed to use the chairs or dock. We went to the starfish point beach but there are no beach chairs, so bring a towel. Over all, the condo was good, but location and convenience, were a bit challenging. Definitely need a car!

A wonderful villa to stay while at Rum Pointe
My husband and I stayed with another couple at this perfect spot in Rum Pointe. The house has everything you will need. Josh is quick to respond to any repairs or needs while staying at the Villa. Make sure to go kayaking in the Bioluminescent Bay right behind the Villa.

Quiet and peaceful
We experienced things we’ve never seen before like swimming and kayaking in the bioluminescent bay, seeing the incredible botanical gardens and orchid blooms and crystal caves. Sitting on the screened in porch was also a relaxing gecko filled reprieve from the sunset mosquitos. Rum point is closed til further notice but we very much enjoyed the beach there even while they finish construction. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful home!
We loved staying in your home! It was very clean and well stocked (spices, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates). And it was the perfect amount of space for our family of four. We also loved the kayaks and bikes which we used frequently during our stay. The location was quiet and we enjoyed a few delish meals at Kaibo. It was a long drive for some of the excursions that we did (~1 hour) but they were worth it! It was unfortunate that Rum Point was closed which we didn’t know until we arrived.

Wonderful house on the quiet side of the island!
This house was exactly as described! Very well set up, and very well appointed. So many beach towels were provided, so we didn't have to constantly do laundry; and plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Wifi signal at the house was strong. The kayaks and bicycles were awesome for exploring the area. House sits right on the bio-luminescent bay, starfish point is a short drive or bike ride away. Across the street is Rum Point beach; beach swimming area, beach bar & grill, restaurant, souvenir shop, & Red Sail Sports does rentals here and cruises to Sting Ray City, glass bottom boat tour, ect. The beach was very clean, water stations throughout, very nice restrooms, staff very helpful and friendly. We snorkeled at the beach, and outside our condo every day. I did have a little trouble with the phone, but only because I didn't understand how to dial out; the property managers answered my emails and helped me through it very promptly. The entire condo area was very clean and well maintained, swimming pool was great, and the people very friendly. We have zero complaints and would absolutely visit this house again.

Cayman Getaway
The Island Houses at Rum Point are ideally located, especially if you don’t want the crowds and hustle bustle of the Seven Mile Beach area. We were in Unit 16 and the view from the lanai out back overlooking Bioluminescence Bay was amazing. We could walk to Rum Point with several eateries and bars, a gift shop, and a nice beach area complete with lounge chairs and hammocks. Snorkeling here and at Starfish Point is very good! Kayaks and bicycles were provided with the unit which was a very nice perk. The kitchen was sufficiently furnished and the furniture was very comfortable. Beds were pretty comfortable too but they need tighter fitted sheets on the 2 queen beds. It was hard to keep them on the bed and they constantly bunched up beneath you. However, this is not a deal breaker by any means. Lighting needs improved over bathroom sinks, perhaps by adding lighted makeup mirrors to the wall. Overall, a great place to vacation!

Very Nice
Property was very nice, just like described. Was within walking distance of a couple restaurants. The kayaks were very nice, used them every day. Having the bio bay out your back door was great, some nights it seemed to glow more than others so check every night. Have to find the darkest spots of the bay to see it well. Its too bad they dont have twilight hours similar to Sedona, AZ where lights in the bay must turn off at a certain time, that would really make it dark and awesome. The place is about a 40 minute drive from the airport so you will need a car if you stay on this end of the island but we drove back to Georgetown area a couple times to shop and swim at 7 mile. We got groceries at Hurleys and it was nice to do online ordering and have it ready to go when you landed. Did the stingray tour with Red sail sports right out of Rum point so didnt have to drive anywhere. Did some fishing off the dock and caught grunt fish, saw bone fish but couldnt catch them. All in all a very nice place to stay and location, would definitely stay here again.

This property is in a great location. The bay is beautiful and then it is only a short walk to Rum Point which was also beautiful. The property had everything we needed!

August Paradise
This property was a perfect location and all the amenities you needed. Great snorkeling, food and drinks at Rum point. The grounds and pool were well taken care of. Overall the house was clean, but really could use a deep cleaning and needs a few things replaced. We really enjoyed our time here.

great location!
We have been to Rum Point several times. In the past the water there was always crystal clear all the way up to the shoreline. It now has been invaded by seaweed, making the water a murky brown. We were disappointed in this, but not in the overall property. Grand Cayman is still a beautiful island to visit, and the property manager at the Island Home #16 always responded quickly to all of our requests.

Amazing place and location!
My husband and I just went to the Caymans and stayed at this beautiful townhome. Great location, house had so many things to do and use in case you forgot something. Kayaking was our favorite and Rum Point is definitely our favorite side of the island, we will definitely be returning!

Lovely rental in Rum Point
Where do I start on a description of this fabulous location. This is our second trip to the island. After our last trip,
we decided to stay in Rum Point on our second trip. We were pleasantly surprised when we showed up at our house. It was clean and exactly like the pictures. Craig was there getting a new washer for the condo. He was so incredibly kind, you could tell that he and Ms. Dale truly care about the state of the property. All of the appliances were in great working order. The property was furnished with comfortable beds which is a biggie for me when traveling. I would absolutely recommend this location for anyone wanting a nice getaway at Rum Point.

Great location for a quiet getaway. Also all amenities listed on VRBO for this property were as advertised and in good working order. We put this one on our list for another visit.

Our Own Gilligan's Island Home
Loved the house and the area it was in. So nice, clean and quite away from the hussle and bussle. Plenty of blankets, towels and toilet paper. Kitchen had everything you would need from pots and pans to spices. The kayaks were a great addition we used them several times in the day and night. The bikes were wonderful they rode great to starfish beach and all around rum point. My only complaint about the home was the WATER IN THE SHOWER NEVER GOT HOT. I guess this is a way to make you take short showers? The home was smoking hot when we arrived but it cooled down real nice the rest of the trip. It was so hot on the island and we cannot sleep in anything other than 68 degree temps. Loved the nice decor and furniture of the home you can tell it was upgraded with real nice fixings. Beds were very nice along with the living room set we LOVED the round swivel chairs. My only suggestion would be to put directions for operating the TV's we have cable and had a hard time getting them to work. I called Craig and he helped out in a quick manner. We would DEFINITELY stay again in this home. We have rented home all across the caribbean for over 15 years and this one was AAA rating to us. I even started a load of beach towels for the cleaning crew before we left th home. The views were amazing from any location in the home. The gardening crew were all nice and did a great job keeping the property neat and tidy. Craig made booking a breeze from start to finish emailed all house info after I paid first deposit. He was a pleasure to work with.

Beautiful house, great location
Our stay at Sunset Island House was wonderful. The home had everything we needed and more! We loved having our meals on the outside porch, and kayaking at night on the bioluminescent bay. The pool was steps away as was Rum Point beach. Highly recommend!

Great Condo
This is a great condo in a beautiful, quiet location. Lots of towels, and bedding with a well equipped kitchen. We used the kayaks daily.

Great Vacation!
It was my friends birthday. We made it a girls getaway. The 4 of us enjoyed the Condo very much. Everything you need and more! We took the kayaks out every day and night. The bikes were a nice addition too.
Learning to drive on the left was an experience. We drove all over the Island. We saw the Blow Holes on the east side. We went to 7 mile beach. Swam with the stingrays. Snorkeling was amazing! Craig was a big help! We wished we could've stay another week!

We had a great time. This was a very nice condo in a great location in Rum Point. It was very quiet. Loved sitting outside at night and stargazing. The bioluminescent bay in the back yard was incredible. The property manager was very attentive and Johnnie on the Spot. My son lost a contact in the swimming pool at the beginning of our trip and he did not bring spares. The property manager happened to be very close to the same prescription and had an extra set of contacts that he gave my son. Crisis averted and my son was able to enjoy all the sights of Grand Cayman the rest of the week. The TV in the living room was not working when we got there, and once again by the next morning the Property Mgr had brought a spare TV from his home. We didnt watch much TV but the service was fantastic. Nothing negative to say about this place, except that it is a little far from Georgetown. I thought we would stay in Rum Point most of the time to get away from all the touristy stuff of Georgetown, but we wanted to snorkel some of the famous places all around the island, which requires some driving. We also wanted to shop and eat at some of Grand Caymans better restaurants. We drove to Georgetown almost every day during our week there. There are not many restaurants around Rum Point. We ate at Wreck Bar once, which was pretty good, and we also ate at Over the Edge restaurant for lunch and another time for breakfast. Also ate at Kaibo Yacht Club beach BBQ one night. Breakfast at Over the Edge was very good. If you want better restaurants you have to drive all the way to East End or Georgetown. The seaweed around Rum Point beach was horrible during our stay, but I understand that is seasonal. We did not take advantage of the supposedly awesome snorkeling around Rum Point due to the seaweed and strong currents during our stay. We went to Stingray City/Coral Gardens, Starfish beach, Spotts Beach, 7 Mile Beach. Great time at Stingray City, and snorkeling Coral Gardens was great. Spotts Beach is beautiful and spent a day there snorkeling and my sons fed all the chickens and roosters. Oh the Chickens and Lizards (iguanas). They are everywhere. And crabs all over the road everywhere. Lot of roadkill. This was my 3rd time to Grand Cayman and it never disappoints. This is a great place to stay if your not into all the touristy activities and looking for a quiet getaway. The accomodations in this condo were great. We lacked for nothing.

Amazing stay!
What can I say, other than this place is truly a little slice of heaven on earth. The accommodations were fantastic. We literally had everything we could possibly need, and more. The charming little neighborhood of duplexes had such a cozy, quiet vibe. The long-term neighbors were also so very welcoming and offered up some great tips and info to make our stay even better.
Rum Point Club is literally a 45 second walk across the street, where you’ll have every beach-need at your fingertips—water sport rental, stingray city boat charter access, two bars with great drinks, a casual grill and upscale dining. The snorkeling is also great, especially if you’re a beginner. It’s calm, yet there’s still a TON to see.
Island House is also close to a grocery store, (Chisholm’s) and another great place to dine, the Kaibo Yacht Club. It has both casual and formal dining as well.
We ventured out to all points of the island, but kept coming back to “home”. It was just “our speed”. Book here, folks....I promise you won’t regret it!
