THE SPACE
The Clarkdale Lodge is an historic building that was built in 1914 and originally used as a boarding house for unmarried employees of the local copper smelter. It was subsequently converted into apartments which we are now modernizing to a high standard while preserving historic details where possible. All apartments are tastefully furnished and have HDTV's in both sitting and bedrooms. High speed Internet access is provided throughout via WiFi, and kitchens are fully equipped and ready to use.
The deck you see in the photos is a large shared area accessed from the upstairs hall. It has gorgeous views and makes a perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine in the early evenings. There is a shaded patio area underneath it on the ground floor for when the weather is too warm to sit in the sun.
GUEST ACCESS
In addition to the apartment you are staying in, all guests have access to a public sitting area upstairs stocked with books and games, and a second story view deck overlooking the Verde Valley.
NEIGHBORHOOD
Only a 10 minute drive to historic (and happening) towns of Jerome, Old Town Cottonwood, and red rocks of Sedona, Clarkdale itself offers the Verde Canyon Railroad, river rafting, wine tasting, restaurants, neighborhood bars, a bakery/cafe, and museums!

Great “apartments”! Close to everything!

The lodge was in a great location. Very cute. Great hot shower with plenty of pressure. Bed was a little uncomfortable because it’s so bouncy. The only real complaint was that we had to move the bed to plug in my husband’s sleep machine and it was so dirty. Even had a pill someone had dropped then we moved the dresser and the same thing large dust bunnies. Also it’s a 50 dollar cleaning charge and then it’s an envelope for a tip for housekeeping too. We always leave a place clean and trash taken out, towels in a pile.

It was a great location to Jarome and the railroad and a cute couple of bars! It was great!

Being new to vrbo it worked well. We did not know (should have I guess) that it involved a flight of stairs. We managed, my husband uses a cane, but perhaps that should be noted. All in all, it was a fun experience. We loved the bedding and satellite tv.

We had a great time - We will be back :)

We had a great time at the site. One thing: The window curtain brackets are coming off the wall, so we had trouble shutting the shades. Just an FYI so maintenance can be done.
Thx for the stay. We'll be back.

Good location for exploring!

This was a nice mini appartment that was close to Cottonwood but far enough away to be cozy and affordable. It is easy to navigate from there to the wineries and other attractions and at the end of the day has a nice brewery nearby. The room is comfortable and had many comforts. Clean and attractive.

Nice place
Cute, small place perfect for 1 to 2 people. Had everything we needed, even extra towels. Great location, walking distance from the town. The only downside was that it took a few minutes to get hot water in the shower. Overall, great place to stay!

Very comfortable/ good location
Overall very nice. Reasonable price. Had most amenities but lacked an iron and while water was plenty hot, the water pressure in the shower was barely a dribble. Otherwise all was great.
One plate is cracked almost clear thru and I would recommend replacement.

Super cute and comfortable!
This is an absolutely adorable property. We stayed in 204, the hibernation station. The bed was really comfortable had all the amenities that we needed even coffee, creamer and sugar. That was a pleasant surprise after multiple flight delays. we would definitely stay again if we were in the Clark dale area!

Fantastic experience, would stay longer!
I really enjoyed staying in this suite. It had all the comforts of home. Clarkdale doesn’t have too much for amenities (restaurants and coffee shops) but was only a 10 minute drive away from more - so, at the same time, Clarkdale was very quite and peaceful. I was here for a week in February. I would hit a trail in Sedona in the am and then work the rest of the day. Internet worked great 👍🏼 The shower pressure is a tad low - my only critique about the accommodation. Otherwise, very clean, kitchen well equipped, bedding was cozy, extra heaters made it nice and warm on some of the colder nights.
Thank you 🙏

Convenient and clean
Overall, the stay was fantastic. The room was a bit cold and the space heaters didn’t work very well, but the overall stay is always good and the Clarkdale Lodge!

we loved the back viewing deck and the quiet spot. full kitchen with everything we needed, comfy and clean. super easy.

The open metal stairs were a challenge for our fearful dog. The property itself was comfortable, clean and in good condition. We wanted help in getting the oven to work and did not get a resoonse to our phone call.

Nice space, but chilly.
Other than the heater not working and the lukewarm shower water, everything was stellar. Fantastic cleanliness, responsive management team, easy check-in, accurate description of the listing, etc. I would just bring your own space heater for the winter because the rooms are cold and only one of their space heaters were working. However, if you reach out to management I’m sure they will try to resolve the issue.

Great little quirky place - close to Jerome and Cottonwood
We loved our stay at the Clarkdale Lodge! It was fabulous having a little family room and kitchen separate from our bedroom.
Plenty of space for the two of us! Lots of parking, easy to access our apartment. Several common spaces for all guests to use, including a great side deck where you can watch the sunset.
This location is right across the street from the Clarkdale park, so its a nice and quiet location.
Merely a 5 min drive to Cottonwood and all their cute wineries and shops and places to eat! Super convenient.
Also very close drive to Jerome to explore.

Stayed in 104
We really did love this cozy, clean gem. It was clean and felt like home away from home. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint and it’s a big one, the ac unit in the bedroom never worked so it was very uncomfortable at night.

Summer Vacation
This was the perfect place for our summer vacation. We enjoyed our time there. Breakfast at Charlotte's Café on Main St. is a must!!

First we were moved to room 205 due to a scheduling glitch which is understandable. I really liked the the rear deck accessible to all which over looked a valley where there was an old mine and incredible views. I also liked the the roominess of the apartment and having a fully stocked kitchen. The feel of the place is nostalgic. Will definitely book again if my adventures travels take me to the camp verde/cottonwood area.

The towels, bedding, paper towels, living space smelled of tobacco.
It was clean just smelled of tobacco. O

Smal. Quaint peaceful
This was exactly what we wanted. Small town out of the way. We did experience difficulty with the heater. We feel that although no heat in a snowy weather sucked. We did get to bond in a way not many husbands and wives get to embrace.

Cozy room and nice extras (books, creamer, etc). Tvs were a little finicky. I’d stay here again.

Well equipped with nice personal touches
It’s an older building with lots of character. Well maintained interiors. Accessible to reputable hiking and climbing. Would come back.

Disappointed
With understanding the Historical value, this place could use a lot more maintenance & creativity. No screens on doors so had to keep door closed with wasps in tree, stopper for sink in bathroom broken, big hole in 2nd floor outside entrance, no instructional or channel guides for Dish TV, & the "work out room" was a complete joke. One weight & punching bag outside on a junk/bike repair patio overlooking a beautiful view. Nuff said, we won't return.

I was really thankful and impressed to the manager, Daniel. I left my two jackets in the closet so I called and asked if she can send them to me.
She found them and mailed me them without charging to me very kindly.
Thank you so much, Daniel!

Perfect!
My stay at the Clarkdale Lodge was so enjoyable I can’t wait to come back. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and it had everything I needed. The drive to Sedona was quick and beautiful. I will be recommending the Lodge to anyone who will listen! Also, if you decide to stay here, walk down the block to Charlottes for breakfast. Fantastic!

Lovely apartments- everything we needed
The lodge is surrounded by blooming flowers and sits on the edge of the town square. Our apartment had a super comfy King bed, kitchen stocked with all the utensils and dishes we needed, a half fridge, a gas stove. The AC and ceiling fans worked great. Check in was simple. Loved it. Close to Jerome and nicer than anywhere there that I’ve stayed.
