Come enjoy this beautiful Cape Cod home featuring 4BR/3BA and a sunlit loft, just footsteps from your own private beach. Nestled in the historic Eastham neighborhood on the bay side of the Cape where you and your family & friends can experience the ocean right from your doorstep without any of the hassle. You will also have access to on site kayaks, bicycles, floats and beach accessories during your stay.
The home is 4BR/3BA with a sunlit loft and second living room, big enough to host large groups of family and friends. This beautiful escape is comprised of two upstairs bedrooms, two main level bedrooms, a loft featuring three twin sized beds and a second living room with a cozy day bed and trundle. This house was just perfect for my family. We were able to fit all members comfortably. House had everything to go to the beach and to cook. We made several meals and had 14 people sitting comfortably around the tables to eat together. I will get the house again next summer. And wonderful location next to First Encounter Beach!

We’ve been staying in homes on the Cape and Islands for over 35 years and we’ve never stayed in such a well-appointed and stocked home. Nearly everything is provided! The location is perfect! The outdoor shower is divine! The home was extremely spacious and comfortable for our group of 6 adults and 2 babies. Hoping to return next summer!

This is a large, comfortably furnished house with 4 BR with queensized beds, with good insulation between all rooms (we had people with deep, loud voices, and a 5 month old, and there was little sound disruption). The outdoor shower is roomy and under a tree and refreshing. There is ample deck space, sun and shade. Walking distance to bayside beach.
The one negative was the sheet of ominous warnings about what it costs when one doesn't clean the property as requested--towels, garbage, recycling, etc. I understand the request to clean up, to save trouble for the cleaning staff. But the penalties seemed outrageous, particularly given the cost of a week's rental.

Our family of 4 kids and 5 adults booked this spacious house for a week in June 2023 (off season), and couldn’t have been more delighted. The house has plenty of room to spread out indoors and out - we especially enjoyed the wrap-around porch with views of the salt marsh. Our long-time favorite bayside beach is just steps away. We have been vacationing in Eastham for more than 25 years, and this is by far our favorite rental!

Perfect Bay Property
Steps from the Bay, this house had everything needed for a perfect Cape Cod vacation. The deck provided a great view of the salt marsh. Close to the Rail Trail and walking trails, a wonderful property all around.

Fantastic house and location
We spend a week in the Eastham/Wellfleet area every summer, and this has been our favorite house rental to date. The proximity to the private beach can't be beat, and the house is unbelievably well equipped. Ample beach equipment and pantry staples, to the point where we didn't even need a lot of what we brought with us (out of habit). Plenty of room for everyone to retreat to their own space. The new wraparound porch with the Adirondack chairs got a lot of use, and the fire pit was great for s'mores. The only real downside was the neighbors letting their loud yappy dogs out unattended several times a day -- but it's over quickly. Communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommended.

Annual Family Vacation
The house was just as pictured and it was wonderful being across the street from the beach. We've been staying in Eastham for years and were happy that this house could accommodate extended family staying with us and visiting while they were in the Cape. It was the perfect location for family dinners, game nights and spending the day at the beach. .

Spacious and great location
We had a great time staying at this house! Located on a pretty and quiet street. Super short walk to the beach, a short ride to the bike trail; big comfortable bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms, and a ping pong table! Tons of pillows, blankets & towels. Zero noise from the construction next door. A great choice!

Family reunion
We loved being here - the proximity to the beach was just great - we could walk it every morning - even in the rain. It was also close to the sights we wanted to see such as Nauset Light, Coast Guard Beach and Provincetown. We also went shopping in Chatham. A great time was had by all!

Photos not quite accurate
Upon arrival, we noticed a huge dirt pile just beyond the back of the rented property, not depicted in the photos online. Apparently, a new home is being built where the photos show a wooded area. Thankfully, the work activity during our stay was limited and not intrusive, but it brought back awful memories of a "vacation" several years ago in which adjacent construction shook the house we rented daily for 6 straight days. If the owner knew of the construction then we should have been advised; if the owner did not know, then shame on VRBO. To a much lesser degree, the back deck and outdoor shower area were covered with small tree branches, sand and acorns, as though they had not been swept in many weeks, so we did not use those areas. The inside of the house was great!

Great week on First Encounter
We had a great week at the house. Being able to walk out the door and head down to the bay makes things really easy, especially this summer. The house was clean and everything works well.

Wonderful house steps from the beach!
We were a group of 10 including 2 kids aged 8. This house was perfect for our group. The instructions for check-in, check-out and using the house were detailed and informative. The individually air conditioned rooms suited us well as we could control the temperatures to each person's liking. The kitchen was well equipped for a cookout every evening. There were ample beach towels and beach chairs for all of us. We also enjoyed using the added amenities on the property of the outdoor shower, hammock and fire pit. The house is well located, steps away from the beach. It is also not far from the Cape Cod Bike Trail and The Great Pond. We loved exploring the bay at low tide, and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets every evening. It is a very comfortable house, especially for larger groups. We will definitely consider returning!

It Came Up Short for Us
This home does not have a logical layout, quality details, or attention to maintenance issues. For example:
1. The key in the guest lockbox did not open the house when we arrived. We desperately called the property manager, who directed us to the maintenance lockbox.
2. The house manual was tucked away in a TV cabinet in an unmarked binder. It would have been nice to have it out in plain sight when we arrived so we could get the wifi code and other information.
3. There are random labeled light switches all over the place.
4. There is no logical master bedroom.
5. The bathrooms are worn and old.
6. The finish on the only tub is streaked with metal showing through.
7. There is rust by several faucets.
8. There is no central AC, just assorted wall units and fans.
9. The beds, pillows, sheets, and comforters were not comfortable.
10. We felt like paid a premium for a mediocre place.

The house was kept in good condition. Very user friendly. Very well stocked with supplies.
We had a wonderful time. Couldn't be more than 500 steps to a wonderful private tidewater bay beach. At low tide the water literally went out a mile. Lots of shelling and digging could be done. At high tide - a 6' tide, by the way, - the swimming and kayaking were spectacular. The only negative was that 2 of the bedrooms were unusable because of the heat. Only 2 sleeping areas were air-conditioned. We had to move mattresses down to the family room to sleep. It took 2 days to semi-cool the bedroom off the kitchen, with 3 fans, to make that one bearable. I know the owners just acquired the home and hopefully they will consider ACing the bedrooms. It is a VERY special place and we wish them the best in their new venture.
