Very good

Loved the old buildings. The heat pump in the room was great. A great ensuite too. We loved how the buildings were lit up at night.

Room wasn't heated when we arrived.

Beautiful setting in accommodation that is a little bit different

Staff were friendly and even called us when we were a little late to check we weren't lost. Took a real pleasure in showing us around and obviously very enthusiastic about the place. It seems like a work in progress but easy to see the potential. The room was a pleasant size and quiet. Location was remote but really suited the place. Lovely gardens with a real air of history. Loved the chapel and staff gave us a guided tour on request.

Unfortunately we found the beds a little soft for our liking and easy to roll off the edge! Though it was winter, the heating is controlled centrally, not controlled in the room and we found it really too hot. Reception advised us next day they could have turned it down on request but we weren't aware of this.

Great environment, really quiet, nice staff. The bedroom and the bed were huge, we even had our private balcony.

The most noise lifestyle, which I have never started. Really disappointed.

The room is big.

Really noisy by next door (staff room) , upstairs someone was running and jumping. Doesn't have the doors closer, waking up by all of doors closed. No idea fire rate who inspect the door. Can't close the windows above the door. Too bright. The ground floor was too noisy by car parking. Really disappointed such noise stay to choose such country side. Very unconvinced, no shop, no restaurant. The Internet was such slow, only 0.86M, TV was only pree view, the landscape and church need maintenance, look like deariness and horrific other buildings on site. Could not get sleep at all after long way during. Very disappointed stay.

beautiful buildings & decor, comfortable and quiet. a spiritual & physical sanctuary. The chapel and Art work provided rich reflective spaces.

Really enjoyed stay comfy bed great shower great internet and nice and quiet

Did not avail of the breakfast don’t know if was included in my stay

There was no microwave but was happy to use the oven in the staff room. It’s an insurance issue why there’s no microwave in the room I am happy with that

Lovely family units - very comfortable and great value for money

Very comfortable family unit. Quiet peaceful grounds. Friendly staff. Ideal for a family stay.

It's a wee distance from Oamaru town (10 to 15 minute drive).

A little disappointing

Was great I was able to stay with my pet

The bathroom draw had hair in it the table draw had food crumbs in it and there was tea and coffee but no sugar and no milk. It's a shame as I have stayed here before and had an amazing experience

Beautiful hotel and very well set up room. It was very spacious and well set out for a larger fmaily size. The hotel was very warm and the manger was helpful. It is a peaceful location not too far from the town.

Comfortable, spacious stay in a place with history.

The room was extremely spacious, clean, and tidy. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. We loved being shown inside the chapel by the manager. Great display at the front entrance on the history of the place. Easy 10 minute driving distance from Oamaru and approximately 20-25 minute drive to Moeraki Boulders.

A unique stay experience, nicely appointed rooms, cosy and warm while it was very cold outside.

Very tastefully decorated and lovely and quiet. We like to stay in places with a bit of history and this certainly ticked the box. Large room but once heated we were very cosy.

There were no meals available at the property which is in the countryside, this was no probelm for us as Oamaru has some great dining.

A comfortable stay & good value for money.

Friendliness of staff. Cleanliness of rooms. Historical buildings.

It just needs a bit of interest added to the rooms (maybe some artwork on walls) and a little bit of updating in rooms as far as TV, extra heating in bathrooms etc. You also just need to be prepared food wise as Oamaru is approximately 15mins drive away and only microwaves in rooms for cooking.

I liked the history and character of the building and beautiful trees. Church was truly beautiful.

Unfortunately the dining room wasn't open at the time we stayed there. But easy drive into Oamaru.

Because the restaurant was not open food like crisps, cheese and crackers would have been nice.
