Très agréable.

Logement en entresol. Manque un peu de lumière. Mais belle terrasse et jardin agréable.

Comodidad y espacio

Era una zona muy tranquila donde encima podíamos disfrutar de un gran jardín. El apartamento es grande. Los anfitriones eran muy amables, pudimos salir (check-out) a una hora preferible para poder aprovechar el último día. Al llegar te encuentras con productos típicos locales.

Comfortable apartment with nice views.

We really enjoyed the garden! It had a mango tree, a large banana plant, a glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean and a wonderful terrace to enjoy our meals.

We really had to get used to the narrow, steep street and parking our rental car. Luckily we had a private parking spot and did not have to park in the street.

The excellent facilities made up for lack of views from inside the apartment, we enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is spacious and well decorated. The facilities are like new and very clean. The kitchen has all we needed to cook a proper meal. The bathroom has a large shower unit that functions well. The terrace had a good size dining table and chairs for eating outside in a pleasent courtyard style garden.

The property description says the apartment is on the ground floor, however it is a basement that requires you to go down a flight of ten steps from ground level to get in. The windows are small, of frosted glass and are 2.5M off the floor, so there are no views of anything from inside the apartment. The statement refering to a sea view etc. is from the terrace. However, it did mean the apartment kept cool, so there was a plus side to the situation.

perfect stay in Funchal

great property , Yvonne was lovely we really liked sitting on the terrace in the afternoon it was a good size and immaculate had a nice view to the harbour and was perfect for easily leaving Funchal I struggled to park in the space so left the car on rua da Peña outside the flats Larga da Peña 3 mins away had nice bar and bora la comer was a good spot for beer and sandwiches monte gardens are great blandly gardens over priced massively

Convenient location just out of the centre and very comfortable.

We were two adults using two bedrooms and self catering. The kitchen was well equipped. The patio area was a bonus. Good bus service very close by. A helpful host.

Great stay

Yvonne, the owner, was really nice. She allowed us to check-in as soon as we arrived in the morning (some hours before the check-in time) and offered us to do some cleaning at the middle of our stay for free. She also gave us some useful information when we met her and we had some wine and "bolo de mel" waiting for us. The place is very big and comfortable and has all the facilities that you may need.

A great and big place to stay.

It is a great and big place to stay with everything you need and at reasonable cost. It also has a place to park for free. We enjoyed the attention to detail in all rooms, particularly in the kitchen, bathrooms and restrooms.

A real home from home

Everything in the house was top quality . Very comfortable beds. Hosts Yvonne and Garry super nice. Everything you could need for a holiday.

Cozy living in Madeira

Spacious and comfortable apartment in a good location. Own peace and a nice yard. Nice hostess and good service.

Lots of dogs in the neighborhood who bark very hard. It can distract you if you are not used to it.

Exceptional

During our stay in this apartment we felt almost like at home. The house has everything we need for comfortable stay and nice garden where we can relax in the evening. On top of, Yvonne is great and kind host who welcome us really friendly. She also gave us many tips what to do in Funchal (special thanks for the tip of Madeira wine festival :-) and across the island. Apartment is great located, in quiet area but still 10-15 minutes walk to the center and bus stops. Funchal is useful location if you want to explore the island by buses, there are many possibilities where you can go for hike or levada walk.

The hill up to the apartment could be less steep :-) There is nothing we could complain about, thank you very much for nice holiday!
