We booked La Piccioncina for the first family gathering post covid. Our group of 9 travelled from diverse locations across the world and met in Florence. This house was perfect and super spacious for us all. Big and comfortable rooms, comfy beds, air conditioning in the rooms and plenty of social areas to enjoy. The house still have part of its original furniture, so you feel like living in a movie for a few days!!! Gardens are spectacular too. If you like to cook you will particularly like the kitchen, biggest pans I have ever cooked with, a fantastic experience! Thank you again Ilaria and Andrea, for your hospitality and for sharing this property with us

Stunning villa, even better than the photos. It's beautifully decorated, with great outdoor space and views. The hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. This is exactly the place we were hoping to find in Tuscany. We would love to come back!
This wasn't a problem for us, as we had a car and don't mind driving on narrow roads, but some visitors may find the drive challenging given the small roads.

Simply magical! the villa is everything I hoped it would be and so much more! every corner is stunning and decorated with antique furniture and decorations! the view, the road to the villa, the terrace, the garden, the lemon trees, and most of all, the owner made this the best accommodations I have ever stayed in in Italy !

We couldn't have chosen a better place for a stay in Florence and neighborhood. The villa has all modern equipment and amenities you may need but yet is a historical place with original furnishing and fit-out from late 19th and early 20th century. Located on a hill near a little church from 14th century, the villa offers wonderful views and a beautiful garden to relax after hours spent on sightseeing in Florence, Prato, Pisa and all great places that are just in 1-2 hour drive distance from the place. The host is very kind and helpful, we couldn't express our gratitude for sharing this great family villa with us. Last but not least, Trattoria Omero is a walking distance from the villa (approx. 15 minutes) and offers fantastic cuisine from the region and a great house wine (and dozens of others too). While going to Florence you can chose a parking near San Ambrosio Place. You will enjoy breathtaking views of Florence on the way, can visit San Miniato too, and be in the city center in less than 15 minutes.
For drivers that feel a bit insecure in very narrow streets, we recommend access from the other side of the hill (the city center and San Miniato direction). It was not a downside for us at all though and even our young driver (19-year old son) did manage to go the steeper and narrower way too.

Stunning villa on the outskirts of Florence. Centuries old villa beautiful with modern amenities, jaw dropping views of Tuscany but only a short taxi ride away from the center of Florence. Super spacious for a large group of family and friends. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts that were very accommodating with our requests and needs.
We loved everything about it!

We loved everything about this place. The spaciousness- the history- the beautiful grounds and views- Ilaria and Andrea were awesome and so hospitable and helped us so much with directing us to places to eat and shop- helping us get our laundry done and sending for taxis when we needed them. We were able to walk one hour downhill to the middle of the action in Florence. Would recommend coming with dinner plans or groceries or having a car because it is difficult to walk to places for older folks. Cane with my parents- kids- my siblings and their families and we had the best time. Access to the whole villa was incredible- Lots of rooms and room. It is not a bed and breakfast anymore since Covid but has a beautiful kitchen to cook your own meals. Can’t wait to one day go back. CIAO and GRAZIE!
Nothing- it was perfecto!

We loved everything about the villa. The location, the amazing view and the beautiful villa itself. It was so peaceful and quiet, we were happy to get away from the town centre after a long day of walking. Our bedroom was very comfortable and gave onto a large terrace, overlooking Toscany...
Great breakfast too, in a beautiful chandelier lit room.
The pictures are a very good depiction of what you get, there are no unpleasant surprises.
Ilaria was a lovely host, very helpful and friendly. Thank you for making our stay in Florence so special!

A little far from town but excellent if you dont mind taking taxis or walking.
