It is close to Larryta bus station, so I checked in at 8pm, took a shower and left at 10pm to fresh up. Booking froze my money and I thought I have already paid. It’s the end of my trip so I only have 20 dollars which is a broken note. (No one accepts a broken note in Cambodia) . So I proposed I can cancel or no show up policy, either way he will receive money from Booking. He said No! And insisted to take my whole 20 dollar note without changing. He promised to take me to the bus station but when we negotiated , he refused and threatened ‘I don’t want you meet your bus’(or maybe miss my bus don’t understand ). I ordered a tuktuk immediately so I could catch the bus. When I was in the tuktuk, he rushed from his garden, stopped me from going, yelled at me angrily and said I played him. I was so scared at that moment. My girlfriend scared to cry. I canceled the booking in front of him and left the horrible place. I booked again so that I can leave a comment of what happened. So I paid 2 nights money to take a shower, scared by the host and leave a comment.
Be kind, respect your customer and fix your door.

I got sick when I was in Siem Reap and had to find a private room last minute on New Year’s Eve. I am so, so glad that I found this place! Mr Cheng and his family are lovely people who made me so comfortable. The food is so yummy, with big portions and good prices. The room was clean and comfortable and modern, which I can say confidently because I spent about 5 days in there without leaving. This place was a perfect haven for me after 3 months of staying in hostels, and I will always remember how wonderful it was!
As mentioned in other reviews, it’s a bit far out of town. You will have to take tuktuk back and forth to the temples and the city, which is cheap but can add up. This wasn’t an issue for me, but it’s important to note.

It was in a local neighbourhood and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. But only $2 Tuk Tuk to ride to the city. There was food available at very reasonable cost and very well cooked by Chheng’s wife.Such a lovely family home stay.
There wasn’t anything wrong.

It was away from the city center so it was quiet and you get a sense of Cambodias people while staying here.
My bed was a little hard but not terrible. Hard to find coffee in the morning sometimes but eventually I had it figured out.

What I liked
1. On each floor there is Wi-Fi speed of 20-30mb, the zoom call was successful. Stable internet connection
2. I was given a room with 2 large windows, good lighting during the day.
3. Clean room, clean shower, new plumbing. I had a balcony. White walls, nice renovation. The linen is fresh.
Good sound insulation. The hotel was full, but I never heard my neighbors.
4. The air conditioner is working, there is also a fan in the room. There is hot water, the water heats up for 2-3 minutes.
5. There are additional services. It is possible to rent a motorbike or bicycle at an average reasonable price.
6. There is a kitchen inside the hotel. As a European, I really liked it, after long travels in Asia it was one of the most delicious meals. Be sure to try it.
Also if you want to go to the store at night. You can go down to the 1st floor and buy water, beer or Coca-Cola at a low price, just like in a store.
7. The owner of the apartment is a very kind and open person. Will recommend the best temples. You can always get advice.
The owner is also an excellent conversationalist and can support any topic of conversation in English.
8. I also chose this hotel because it is close to the bus station. This is convenient if you have arrived or want to leave the city
You don't have to worry about currency exchange. They accept dollars and local money.
I think I hit the jackpot when I chose this option.

Nice and communicative owner. He drives his private car to the temples and the city center for a fee.
Building off the beaten path, approach via a muddy road. No house bell. No key to the property - to the door (prevents independent exit and return - tourist dependent on the owner). No hot water. No soap or shampoo.

Lovely stay in family environment. Delicious home cooked meals are available for $US3.80. They can also organise a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat & the other temples for $US18 which includes pick up and drop back to the homestay.
They also offer free bicycles. There is a good ride into town and most of it can be done on a green bicyle lane along side the main road.
The short road in & out from the main road is very bumpy.

the property for us was perfect, outside of town away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. very easy to get TukTuk in and out if needed, can also walk which takes about 45mins or even cycle. Bicycles are provided by Mr. Cheng if needed, he will also organise a tuktuk driver for you. The room was spacious clean and very comfortable, no issues at all. Food is also available, which is very delicious. highly recommend the traditional Cambodian dish Beef Lok lak. I’d recommend this family run establishment to anyone, very welcoming and accommodating all for a great price! They can even organise airport pick up and drop off.

Host is very welcoming and always on toes to help his guests. Warm family, make delicious foods and they also accommodated my vegetarian choices along with delicious new fruit everyday. It's about 3 km away from the city center, in a village.

great approach by the host, was very helpful - I was given a training for a motorbike :-) Area is quite, outside of center, close enough to go to Angkor Wat by a bike.

Located in a quiet residential area, around 3.5 km from city centre. Nice, clean accommodation, friendly and helpful host. The main problem is the poor condition of the road connecting the accommodation to the main road. Although it is out of control of the host and free bicycle was provided but it is inconvenient.
The road towards and out of accommodation.

I enjoyed my stay at the Homestay. The owner is extremely helpful and always available for any questions. The trip from and to the airport was well organized. The Homestay is not far away from the Angkor Archaeological Park. A short notice request for a trip to Angkor was always possible and the main driver Mister Chuot was a very helpful and knowledgeable TukTuk driver for my time in the Angkor Park. My room was spacious, bright and had a lovely balcony with a great sunset view. Hot water and Aircondition were working nicely.

Mr Chheng and his family were amazing hosts that accommodated us despite our awkward arrival and departure time. Thank you for going above and beyond for us. His accommodation provides a unique family hotel feel and I strongly recommend staying with Mr Chheng if you intend on visting Angkor!

The owner is lovely and cannot do enough to please. My room was large, very clean and comfortable. Meals were excellent and exceptionally good value for money. The preferred and local tuktuk driver is also exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and the owner provided me with breakfast at 6.00am on my day of departure and then chased my pickup for the boat trip to Battambong. If he had not I would have missed to boat! He is also working towards sustainability and is very keen to improve the environment locally and nationally.

Wonderful place to stay at Siem reap! Great location and kind, friendly owner who’s always happy to help you and does everything for your comfort. Price is more than fair also! Definitely recommend for everyone who’s going to visit that beautiful town and discover its main attraction!

The host was absolutely lovely and was the best part about the stay, he definitely cares about his guests experience. Offered to give us a lift to the airport when we were leaving, has bicycles you can use to cycle into the town and can use the motorbike for free if going into the town. Bed was comfortable, wasn't hard like most beds in Thailand.
Unfortunately in our first room we spotted a couple of bed bugs, so asked to move rooms. He was happy to accommodate and seemed unaware of the issue. However, in our second room the toilet was leaking which left a horrible smell of refuse, we told the host and he cleaned the bathroom. This was only a temporary fix as the room started to smell again a few hours after. Location a bit far from the centre but as said there is bicycles/motorbike.

The host Mr. Chheng was extremely helpful, friendly and hospitable. He gave us great tips on what to see and where to go, we were even invited to have dinner with him and his family. The neighbourhood in which the guesthouse is located is close enough to the city centre, restaurants and markets to either walk there or take a 10-minute Tuk Tuk ride (into the city centre) but far away enough to enjoy a quiet time (on the balcony) after returning from one of the many attractions in and around Siem Reap. The in-house Tuk Tuk driver Dy is incredibly helpful, always smiling and, most importantly, a very good driver.
Great place, excellent value for money. We will be back :)
No complaints!

Absolutely everything.
Although a bit from town it is only a 10 minute drive into town, and the location is perfect for me as it is close to my volunteer project site. Very quiet and peaceful at night with sounds of crickets and frogs.
Rooms are clean and large with great AC and fan. Rooms look like typical hotel room rather than a room in someone's house. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom is great too. The family's home is beautiful, very large and there is rooftop where you can watch the sunrise and sunset.
The family and the homestay host, Chheng, are absolutely incredible. So kind, welcoming and helpful. I have had a vegan dinner at their home most of the nights during my stay (even had a family dinner together one night... so wonderful), I rented a fantastic bike from them (basically mountain bike), I am able to have my laundry done, I was picked up from the airport free of charge in their air-conditioned car and Chheng was even able to top up my SIM card for me from his phone. Wow. No words.
Highly recommend!!
Nothing :)

The owner is very accommodating and responsive, they provided all our request.
If you want a silent place to stay, I highly recommend this place.
Clean & comfortable also.
There's a bit problem to the road when it's raining, but good thing the owner solved it he coz he communicated to his neighbor for us to pass by their compound rather than passing by the flooded road.
