This place is a gem, came with my partner to celebrate his 50th. So peaceful and relaxing. Bed and pillows were eally comfy, had a great sleep. A lovely touch of goodies on the table. We're planning on booking again.

Perfect for a secluded break, with walking available immediately from your doorstep.

Everything. Location, facilities, vibe.. Beautiful gem of a place. Definitely would like to return.
I have no criticism of the place. My only reccomendation to make it better would be a heads up on ticks, and if there was some outside shelter from the sun/rain it would make it mega. 😊

How quiet, private, beautiful and secluded it is! Lazy, long breakfasts, watching the kids build a fire, the deer passing through, all just wonderful!
That we couldn’t stay longer!
4.7
It really is secluded but not far away at the same time! Loved the beanbag chairs.
Having to pay £5 for a bag of firewood.

it was clean and cosy we loved our fresh bread and blueberries and the marshmallows where a great added extra this stay was lovely and the host was very helpful and approachable about anything we had to ask … such a lot of thought goes in to preparing our stay we could tell milk left for us as-well tea coffee everything u would need we had there ready for our stay we felt very welcome here ! we got a lot more from our stay then we expected, we would definitely recommend this stay to our friends and family …. we very much want to come back in the spring or summertime … we also saw a deer on our first morning there was wonderful and such a joy to be there …!

The view was great 😊
The shower products and welcome tray was a nice touch
The log burner was fantastic
The bed was very uncomfortable felt like we would roll off
The walk to the toilet/kitchen was a bit far especially in the dark the stairs to the hut were narrow and steep couldn't see them in the dark
4.7
Beautiful and charming hut in stunning and peaceful surroundings, equipped with everything you need.
Log burner kept us very warm even for this time of the year.
Extremely helpful owner.
Great spot for walking and bird watching.
We will definitely return to this place.

The host is a horrible person. She gave the wrong address to go to, the property wasn't as described in the advert. There was no toilet, no kitchen, no bathroom inside, no running water inside. There was no electricity in the accommodation. If the host's advert would have mentioned those, I'd have never gone to that place!
I emailed 4 times to the host and couldn't get in touch with her.
She also marked my booking on booking.com as 'cancelled '. Booking.com says because the host tried to avoid paying fees.
I made a complaint because the accommodation didn't look like as it was described in the advert. The host cares about money but not giving correct service.

What a beautiful place, owned and managed by very nice people.
We had a superb time. I think the other reviews cover the key points - basically stunning, peaceful getaway with really communicative owners who will help you out with any questions you have.
For those worrying about phones etc, you can charge your phone in the cabin (USB charger not wall socket), you get decent reception if you need to make a call (but try not to, you're getting away from it all right!?)
THe kitchen area is fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery etc.
There's also a BBQ for a cook out.
It's not at all hard to find if you read the directions Alice will send and for those complaining about their sports car struggling to drive in - it's just a gravel road; no issues driving in, in terms of low profile of car, just drive slowly! Wonderful place, you'll love it

This was the perfect couples retreat, remote but not too far out of the way, the shepherds hut was really quaint with a super comfy bed, the owner Alice had left a lovely welcome pack of goodies, she had thought of everything that made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen and bathroom were brilliant, all made of reclaimed wood and furniture which was really quirky and fun, and had everything you needed. The fire pit made for two lovely evenings under the stars which was really romantic, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Thank you.
Nothing we were happy throughout.

Such a lovely spot. We completely switched off and relaxed. Everything you need is provided and you’re ready to light your camp fire, pour a glass of wine and enjoy nature. We appreciated the extra touches like the marshmallows, eggs and blueberries too!

Nothing to not like !! Perfect get away

We were able to make a camp fire and bbq, roast marshmallows which the kids loved. It was an authentic rural glamping experience.
The owners put a lot of thought into the property/setup and they also left some nice complinentary goodies.
Bath and kitchen very nicely done and clean.
The gas hob was not working. Not being able to have a cup of tea/coffee or a hot breakfast was harsh. There was no contact to ask for help with that.
Some notes on how to use the equipment, where to find the key (in the original message) would have been a nice touch.

The location was great, quiet and secluded and in nature. Lots of lovely touches like some food and drinks left upon arrival, very clean, lots of candles and torches....very responsive to communiction.

The place is secluded and private, but we'll maintained, cosy and comfortable. The hosts provided more than we could have asked for, with a personal touch that really made us feel welcome. I would definitely visit again.
Nothing, as the hosts were incredible at providing everything needed.

Loved the idyllic location. Bliss 😃
Some cover to eat outdoors if raining would be a bonus

Everything - our staff was amazing. The hut, kitchen and bathroom are all great, however, the best part is the location. No noise or light pollution. No one overlooking you. Fully recommend.
Nothing - our stay was amazing.
