This was a beautiful location, close to the water and the ice cream shop. It was also convenient to the Maine Coast Craft School, where my husband took a class.

Lovely setting. With just a few changes it could be a nice rental
There was no comfortable seating. The owner should contact his cleaning crew or hire another!

Idyllic little house surrounded by tranquillity. A perfect spot to forget the daily hassle.
The harbor, the grocery store and farm fresh eggs are all in walking distance. Strolling through the neighborhood is a must.
Perfect for a small family, tons to explore.
Thank you Jim for sharing your cottage.

Pemaquid Point is off the beaten path but one of the most peaceful and beautiful vacations you could take. The house had great space and amenities for our families needs.! A beautiful property and view. Walking down the driveway and see the harbor in front of you is picture perfect! The owners are lovely! We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

A charming home on a quiet cove with peace and serenity. A short walk to the village.
The views of the cove and abundant light were an unexcepted treat,

We come to the Pemaquid area for peace and quiet with ocean sounds. This little house in the cove fit perfectly for us. The kitchen had all the supplies for cooking and baking, which we appreciated. The host left perfect instructions and generously offered us use of anything we needed. The washer and dryer were nice to have. This house is on the water, and as is typical, it does have a musty smell downstairs, as others have mentioned. But, everything was dry and with air circulating it didn't bother us.
The beds were just "ok" in terms of comfort and the living room and sunroom both could use a couple more comfortable places to sit and read, which we did a lot on the rainy days. The sunroom at the back of the house was nice and cool. The dining room had a nice view of the sunrise in the morning. We could walk to ice cream, groceries, and down the road to the little bridge for another view of the house. The beach is just down the hill and the Hardy Boat dock and the Salt Pond Preserve are just a 5 minute drive.

I will be back! My friends and I enjoyed staying at this adorable Maine coastal cottage. It was super beautiful and comfortable to stay in. The host was great with communication and quickly answered any questions I had through messaging.
I will say, the only thing I would note is that there are no pictures of the bedrooms on the listing. We realized a few hours into our stay that there was a bedroom in the basement, though no one slept down there because it wasn't exactly inviting. And the wifi was down our entire stay so we had to drive up the road to make phone calls and texts. This would be great for anyone looking to disconnect and get off the grid for a long weekend. But if you need internet access, it is not the most ideal. Overall this did not affect our visit too much and we made it work. I would gladly rebook again.

Simply wonderful!
Our family of four loved our time at this property. It was everything I hoped it would be. The views of the cove from the kitchen, living/dining room and screened porch are beautiful. Our kids shared the double bedroom rather than using the bedroom downstairs since it was a little musty. Nice to have the extra bathroom down there though. Kitchen had everything we needed, and is sized to fit one cook at a time perfectly. We enjoyed dining out at Shaw’s, The Contented Sole and Harbor Room. We walked to the Abundant Bakery and for ice cream multiple times. It’s an easy drive to Pemaquid Beach which was also beautiful and has great food at Mimi’s. I highly recommend this spot for a quiet, low key getaway.

Cozy Getaway Cabin
Beautiful little cottage in a quiet spot. The location is incredibly beautiful, and the little community makes the area perfect for a daily walk. Perfect for 4 people, and the extra 2 beds in the basement room will accommodate children, but would not recommend for adults. Plan to arrive before dark; it's much harder to find in the dark as the road forks to a couple of neighboring houses. If you're going to see the sights along the mid-coast plan lots of drive time as this little corner of the world is quite a ways out. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Beautiful, Tranquil Get Away
This is a lovely home looking out on the far end of peaceful Back Cove. I would give our stay 5 stars but for one drawback. First the many positives: the home is clean and well stocked with cooking gear (though the kitchen is small - really only room for one cook!), games & puzzles should you get a rainy day, a canoe, wifi, and TV with Roku. The location is excellent - quiet and private but walking distance from a wonderful bakery and very near a grocery store, Pemaquid Beach, Fort William, the Pemaquid Lighthouse and many places to get delicious lobster rolls. Check-in/Check-out was seamless and the property manager responded quickly to the couple of questions I had. I would say this is a perfect spot for FOUR people and what keeps me from giving this a 5-star rating is that it is listed as a rental for six people. Yes, there is a third bedroom but it is in a walled off section of the basement and was very damp and musty - not a pleasant place to sleep. The basement bathroom with shower did come in handy, though! The two bedrooms upstairs were great and had very comfortable beds.
