I feel like the description and pictures undersell this place a bit. We were a bit hesitant booking, but the reviews sold it and it was an excellent place. It's so close to the west entrance to the park - you couldn't ask for much better. And Lake Five is fantastic. We swam everyday after coming home from hiking. We had our family of 5 plus a friend staying and the 1 bathroom wasn't really an issue ever. The cabin is well stocked with towels, dishsoap, paper towels, and bear spray, which was nice that we didn't have to buy any. Overall, just a really great place.

Great location to stay and visit Glacier National Park. Location on Lake 5 is a real bonus, nice sunsets on the lake after hiking all day. AC is a nice bonus for the surprisingly warm MT summer!

Our family of 5 had everything we needed at this little place including a beautiful view! It has to be one of the closest places you can rent and be outside of the park. Just a few minute drive to the west entrance but also close to several restaurants nearby. We cooked breakfasts there each morning and had plenty of pots and pans to do so. When I had a question about check out (which was the easiest of any place I’ve ever stayed), the reply was very quick. We’d definitely stay here again!

We loved the view of Lake 5. Boys caught a few small fish but had a great time on the dock. Cabin is just as described and perfect for my family of 5. Location to the park couldn't be any better.

Nice property located only a few miles to west entrance of park. View from cabin as pictured in add, very nice.
Cabin fairly clean. Roomy. Overall very nice.
Only negative for me was no closets or drawers to unpack into.

The cabin is in a great spot outside of Glacier NP. It has a great view of a lake with some mountains in the back. Just the two of us on this trip but would be good for a small family.

We had a lovely, very peaceful, stay at this cabin on Lake Five. We hadn't ever been to Lake Five and this was the perfect spot for a getaway. Smoky sunsets, bald eagles, osprey, loons, a friendly duck, and lots of quiet time. We wanted an easy access to the park spot and we found it here. Although, being at this cabin made us not want to go into the park. I think we all would've been happy to just lay low for our entire visit.
There were four of us - myself and my husband and our two teenage sons. And, there would've been plenty of space for more guests.
The porch with picnic table was the perfect spot for coffee and every meal. And, the driveway had a big flat space for yard games. And, we spent a lot of time on the beach and dock. That access is definitely a bonus!
I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful MT getaway.

This property is in an excellent location. Older property, partially updated. Sleeps many people, but only one bathroom and no dishwasher or kitchen towels. Beautiful lake out back and comfortable to come back to after visiting the area. Beds were all comfortable too.

This cabin is on a beautiful lake and is so close to west glacier entrance. I would highly recommend this place to stay. It’s cozy, clean and just simply cute! Thank you.

The location is fantastic. On a lovely lake with a private dock and great views. The photos do not do it justice.
Very close to the West entrance to Glacier National Park.
The cabin is rustic but comfortable.

This cabin is located right next to Glacier National Park and Going to the Sun Road. We’d stay there again for that alone. The cabin sits back a short way from the lake, but has private access. The view on the dock was awesome and very relaxing.
The owner was very communicative and gave us some warnings and news we really needed to have for our trip.
To be honest, we didn’t spend a ton of time at the property because we were in the park so much. Still, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with spices and all the cooking necessities.
Overall, we’d definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends.

My family of five and I stayed at this cute, cozy cabin on Lake Five for three nights at the end of August. We used the cabin as a base camp for our adventures in Glacier (it is just minutes away from the West Glacier entrance). We went Hiking, boating, sightseeing and whitewater rafting which didn’t leave us enough time to truly appreciate the home and lake the way we would’ve liked to have. You need at least a couple weeks! We found the cabin to be exactly as advertised. Rustic, not fancy, clean, renovated and had pretty much everything we needed. Prices in the area are high and this location is prime, which justified the cost
Loved having a nice washer and dryer on vacation with three kids.
Upstairs loft was just fine for the 12-year-old and 8-year-old, but it would be a little tight for adults. They loved it.
View from the deck was gorgeous. We enjoyed eating meals out on the picnic table on the deck. Deck itself could use a little attention - just wear flip-flops.
Waterfront view from the dock was beautiful. Basic chairs provided. Bring your own floats etc.
Heating system worked great for chilly mornings.
We didn’t cook, but there were plenty of cups and plates for our use.
Owner was very responsive and gave great suggestions on things to do/places to eat.

Only thing that was bad was the traffic getting into glacier National park from this location but other than that this place is an amazing place to stay while visiting

Great location only 5 minutes from the West Glacier entrance. The cabin fit our needs well. We traveled with our 2 young adult daughters and our teenage nephew. My husband did some fishing off the dock and we all enjoyed swimming or just dipping our feet after a long day of hiking. Plenty of hot water for 5 showers each night with good water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Owner was friendly and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it if you don't mind a more low key rustic experience.

Perfect location with the lake and close to Glacier National Park. The home was clean and perfect for our family. The grill ran out of propane and a quick message to the owner, he replaced the propane before I even saw his reply.

Perfect wee spot to enjoy Glacier National Park
Location is ideal. Very close to park entrance but quiet and relaxing. Loved swimming in the lake during the hot weather. Very clean and tidy. Looks better than pictures. Great communication from the host and he was very helpful.

Very close to west entrance. Unfortunately GTTS Rd was not open all the way thru Logan’s Pass so keep in mind in early summer.

Great location near GNP
Accurate description. Perhaps even smaller than I envisioned, though maybe that’s my fault. Two very small bedrooms, each with one queen bed (and nothing else except an old end table in one of the rooms). Bathroom size okay, but small shower (no tub) and very low toilet. I guess I’m just used to comfort height toilets these days! Water pressure in shower was great though. Young kids (3rd-7th graders perhaps) would enjoy the loft but otherwise it’s very tight for anyone/anything else. Left a few suggestions for improvement - more mirrors, more lights - but can’t complain given the accuracy of description. If rustic isn’t your thing, this might not be the place for you. Gave me Camp Crystal Lake vibes, but that might be because the weather was a bit dreary. Either way, check in was easy and the location to the park can’t be beat.

The Loft is a fantastic little place that accommodates a lot of people comfortably. The lake is spectacular and it is close enough to town and closer yet to Glacier NP. Even though a lot of things were still closed due to how early in the season we went we still had a great time! If going to Glacier do your homework!

Our group of 4 flew into Jackson Hole from Florida early September. We stayed in a hundred year old cabin in the Grand Tetons Coulter bay for 3 nights, then moved to a brand new VRBO cabin in Island Park Idaho for 6 nights to explore Yellowstone. We then drove north six hours to Columbia Falls outside of Glacier National Park to this lovely little cabin on Lake 5....the location is perfect for getting to GNP and surrounding attractions. We booked this back in February and the owner was very good at keeping us informed to any new park restrictions due to the plandemic. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would love to return to this property for another stay in the future.

This was our second summer staying in The Loft on Lake Five. We enjoyed it so much last year, we came back for twice as long this year, and it was twice as magical! Close to Glacier NP, and many other great attractions, the location can't be beat, and quite frankly Lake Five could be the destination itself! Ryan is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond to make the whole experience seamless. He is VERY responsive to questions, needs etc..We are alreday looking forward to returning in 2022!

Great little spot on Lake 5
Fantastic location, rustic cabin but we'll stocked kitchen. Nothing fancy. Dock and water access are amazing. Only bad part was how dirty the floor was when we got there. Had to mop it twice and cleaned a ton of black dirt. Otherwise really great and would go again.

Last minute reservation cancellation caused us to find this great lakeside cabin minutes from West Glacier entrance. Had everything we needed, was clean, comfortable, WiFi for the teens, kitchen, grill, open back deck, dock we swam from, and it was quiet at night. Totally the perfect experience! Strongly would recommend staying here if you need accommodations on this side of the park! Thanks for the stay and great experience!
