Located in the heart of Tasman, one of New Zealand’s most beautiful regions. The cottage's size, character and central location, make it the perfect retreat for couples or families.

The cottage is situated in a quiet rural setting in Mahana, the Heart of Sunny Tasman's Coastal Belt.
Couples will love the private and cosy intimate setting, Children will be easily entertained, and Pets will love the space.
Children can easily entertain themselves with the playhouse, sand pit, trampoline, toys, games, DVDs, and we also have the family dog, ponies and goats who would all welcome attention during your stay.

Stay in and relax at the cottage with under floor heating for added comfort and warmth in the cooler months.
In the Summer months enjoy BBQ meals at the outdoor table setting while listening to the Tui's chattering, enjoy a walk around the property, visit the Glow Worms, or venture out and enjoy the many activities the local area has to offer.

A sample of which include:
* Relaxing on the local Golden Sand Beaches or Kayaking Abel Tasman.
* Visit Local Wineries, and Restaurants. , Mapua Wharf Award Winning Restaurants 7 mins drive.
* Ski Rainbow or Hike the Kahurangi, Abel Tasman, or Nelson Lakes National Parks.
* Relax with a Beer at any of the local Craft Beer Breweries - The Craft Brewers Capital of NZ.
* Cycle 'Tasman's Great Taste Trail' or Mountain Bike at Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park.

Whether you would like an active holiday or a relaxing break, stay for a while and enjoy all the region has to offer.

* Pets stay free with prior approval.
* Minimum 2 nights stay on Public Holiday Weekends, and Peak Season.
* Due to a tornado that affected the property at Easter, for safety reasons the forest immediately surrounding Beech Hill and around the property have been removed, yet the native bush by Beech Hill remains. Thank you for your patience while the property is redeveloped.

Beautiful location and home. Nic was a wonderful host. Great communication and lovely to meet her when we arrived. The house was so cosy and had everything we needed. Bonus that we could bring our fur baby with us. We just wished that we had more time there (lots of family time post wedding). Would love to come back and stay again!

Beech hill was a fantastic and tranquil place and we loved every moment of our stay. The property was clean and well appointed and the dog also loved the wonderful surrounds. The hosts were great and the opportunity for the kids to feed and groom the horses was an added plus. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back!

This was a nice warm house in a beautiful rural setting. We enjoyed the underfloor heating (in winter) and the kids enjoyed the forest and animals and play area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely place with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We really appreciated all the little touches like warm blankets, books to read, and the well appointed kitchen. We especially liked being able to bring our dog. Thank you!

Nic was friendly and quick to respond to messages, which made the renting process very straightforward. The property was lovely and clean, quiet, had plenty to keep our 3yr old occupied and very comfortable. We’ll definitely be back again!

Cozy, clean and full of adventure for the whole family. ( including our puppy ). Such a beautiful setting with the perfect amount of tranquility. We were only 35 mins from home but felt further away. The space was perfect for our family of 4, comfortable beds and facilities. This property has everything you need. We loved visiting all your precious animals as well. We will be back !

Such an amazing property with great hosts. You feel like you are very far from the hustle and bustle of the city but yet so close. Mapua is like a 5 min drive. Our family was here overnight for a Mother's day getaway and we had everything we needed. Nic had taken care of everything. Its a 12 hectare property with horses, goats, ponies and even glow worms. Its perfect for kids Absolutely loved staying here. Will be back for a longer stay. Thank you Nic

Great wee property set in secluded woodland setting. The property owner Nic was on hand but certainly not obtrusive - just made sure we were all set and then left us to it. This is a really lovely place, nicely appointed and super clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Beech Hill. Our 6 yo loved everything about the bach - feeding the horses and goats, the playground, toys, games and books. We enjoyed returning to the tranquility of Beech Hill after our outings and activities.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed at Beech Hill and we will certainly be back. Great location, private but only a short drive to Mapua and Richmond. The house itself is clean, crisp and well maintained. Easy parking and great outdoor area. Love it.

Absolutely loved this little house in the woods. Very family friendly, extremely warm and comfortable. Lovely and clean and uncluttered. The boxes of toys and lego were a massive hit with our 2 year old as were the wonderful upstairs bunks. Perfect location for exploring the Nelson Tasman area. Couldn't think of a better spot to spend a few nights or weeks. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

We had such an amazing stay at Beech Hill! The home was immaculate, beautifully appointed and very comfy beds. The kids loved the animals and the swings, and I so enjoyed relaxing on the deck in a beanbag listening to the birds. It was a quiet and secluded location, but so handy for all the great range of things to do in the area. Thank you so much, Nic!

It was almost a shame we have to venture out into the wonders of Abel Tasman and Mapua as we all would have quite happily hunkered down in the House for two days relaxing in our forest retreat. Great property so clean and had everything we needed for a very relaxing break. Ideal surroundings a feeling of being in the country but with everything just a short drive away. It was so good to be able to take our pet with us and she had a lovely time too in the surrounding forest. We would highly recommend staying here.

A comfortable bach in a lovely location - tucked away but within easy reach of everything we wanted to do in the Nelson region. It made for a fabulous stay from the point of view of all of us who stayed there - two adults, two teenagers and two dogs.
