Bring the family and friends and sit around the fire pit on the large deck with new hot tub along the bold rushing creek. Each bedroom leads out to the decks that overlook the creek. Creekside Haven offers central heat/AC, gas fireplace, modern kitchen, large outside deck, fire pit, HD cable TV, WiFi. Creekside Haven is conveniently located less than a mile from restaurants, shops, and the festival grounds yet sits quietly on the bank of the bold rushing creek. Easy paved access makes Creekside Haven the perfect place for skiers and motorcyclist alike!
Please note at this time wading, fishing and swimming are not allowed in the creek at this location. Fishing is allowed farther up the creek. This property is not pet friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty.
Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is about a 35 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
There is paved easy access, upon approach. The driveway is paved and not far from the main road through Maggie Valley. We do experience inclement weather in this region, seasonally, all-wheel drive and/or 4-wheel drive is recommended in winter.

We loved our stay. The house was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit while we were on vacation. We loved the creek behind the property along with the fire pit. We used the fire pit the first night and made smores. We also used the grill on July 4th. We would highly recommend this property for any small family looking for a vacation home while visiting western Carolina.

Very clean and comfortable. The house was well stocked. The hot tub and fire pit were pluses. Loved listening to the sounds of the creek. Only disappointment was the inability to fish in the creek from the backyard.

Property was as described. We really enjoyed the creek side location and hot tub. Plenty of space for our family. Really enjoyed our stay and would return to this rental.

This vacation home overlooks a golf course in the front, and a fabulous creek with shade trees in the back. A few reviewers have commented that it wasn’t isolated enough for them, however this certainly was not the case for us. We appreciated the very easy access to the highway along with the covered parking. This is a great home for families or couples vacationing together. The kitchen is on the second floor, and the stairs leading to it are rather steep and narrow. It is probably not the best property for older travelers with hip or knee issues. The small kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Getaway, Conveniently Located
Loved this property and plan to stay again next year for the holidays! We have been coming to Maggie Valley & Waynesville for many years and this cabin is by far one of the best places we've ever stayed. Kitchen was perfectly stocked for cooking a big holiday meal, amenities were fantastic, the beds were comfortable, the living spaces well decorated and enjoyable, and the proximity to everything we like to do was perfect! Easy to find, near lots of restaurants and attractions. Would highly recommend!

Creekside Haven
Stay was great! Creek behind the house is so soothing and relaxing; sitting out there around the fire pit was wonderful. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Liked very much the upstairs, downstairs option that this house offered- great for couples.

Great property on the creek. Would rent again.
Description should include that fishing and wading in the creek is not permitted on the property.

We had a lot of fun, but we were immediately caught off guard by creek restrictions and the fact this is in a golf course and not secluded. When you are in the back on the creek it does feel more private. Creek access for fishing and creek play for kids can only occur upstream by about 50yrds. Apparently neighbor across the stream is picky about his property (which is the creek) and liability. Otherwise the community is unique and short drives to most items in need. . Creek setting is beautiful and oddly very loud. Great for a nap!

Will be back!
House is more than enough. You are at the middle of river!
Our kids enjoy so much the water sounds.
Everytime I came out I felt to sleep and that's what we needed.
All 5 stars and I will be back.
Only thing I would recommend is to check rails at top deck.
Multiple spindles were lose and small kid could push and fall.
I will strongly suggest that's check for everyone well being.
I recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you for renting it to us.

Home was very clean and accommodating for the most part. Loved the creek in the back of the home. Very relaxing! Bathrooms could use some updating. We were a little nervous to use the down stairs shower due to some deficiencies. Other than that it was a really nice stay.

Creek side haven
We enjoyed our stay very much!! It was so great having the creek right outside the house and fire pit area. The house was in close proximity to the main road and things we did. It wasn’t as secluded as we normally get but we had no trouble with noises or people. Our stay was enjoyed and we will be traveling again in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay and just wish we had more time! This home is very conveniently located and while it is beside a golf course, it is very private and peaceful. The sounds of the creek drowned out any road or golf noise. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and had plenty of space for the 5 of us. The home was approved by the adults, teens, and kids! Just note that there is one bedroom upstairs and two downstairs and all bedrooms have direct access to the outside...if you are traveling with small children that could be an issue.

Not quite what we expected...
We have stayed in many vacation rentals in Western North Carolina over the past 15 years. On this trip, we stayed at Creekside Haven for ten days. The property was marketed as a higher-end property (pics and descriptions) , but we found it to be more mid-tier quality.
The setting is outstanding, though the landscaping is perhaps not as well maintained as the pics imply (e.g., flowerbeds not well kept and brush pile along the creek). The outdoor furniture by the firepit is in need of a good cleaning and re-stain. IMO, a property of this price level should offer a propane grill versus just the small charcoal currently provided.
The interior has a very odd layout. The downstairs includes a small (or so it seemed with the king bed and luggage in it), a very small bedroom, small bath w/shower, a dining room, and a living room. The upstairs has a small bedroom (or so it seemed with the king bed and luggage in it), a very small bath, a kitchen, dining, and living room. The stairwell between the two levels is narrow and a little steeper than the normal staircase, IMO. We spent several evenings on the balcony off the upstairs bedroom, enjoying the view and sounds of Jonathan Creek.
The cookware, utensils, and dinnerware are old and a mix of styles and brands. We found only one skillet suitable for preparing bacon and eggs. There were only two wine glasses or highball glasses in the cabinet, so we purchased a couple of wine and highball glasses, which were left for future guests.
The property is described as motorcycle friendly. While it is not unfriendly, it is not ideal for multiple bikes. The listing described the driveway as paved, but it is not. The ~40' driveway is loose gravel, making it unstable for maneuvering heavy touring motorcycles. The carport can fit 3-4 bikes if you can use the driveway for a turnaround area. With one bike, I was able to turn the bike around mostly within the paved area of the carport.
I spoke with the property management company several times during our stay and found them to be very friendly and responsive.
Some may read this review and consider it too critical, thus my framing of the review as being unmet expectations and giving an overall rating of 4 on a scale of 5. The comments are intended to help others better understand what they are purchasing and help the owners/property management company make some improvements to better meet future guest's expectations.
Thank you.

Great place for family getaway
The cabin was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and grilling. The views off the creek were great and we enjoyed listening to the calming waters each day. Would highly recommend staying there if visiting Maggie Valley and the Smokies.

Everything including the kitchen and creek
Great weather and even better location. The house has everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing motorcycle trip. Plenty of parking for a truck, trailer and a carport to keep the motorcycles covered and protected.

Nice place with great fire pit
Our family had a nice vacation at Creek Haven. The check in process with Maggie Mountain Vacations was very easy. There is a beautiful view of the creek, but read the description and understand there is no creek access on the actual property. There is adequate public creek access a few yards away but not directly in front of the property. We caught a few trout in the creek above the house and enjoyed the Wheels Through Time Museum.

River Paradise
My family thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing vacation at this sweet river retreat! Our two sons are 2 and 4 and they had the best time - four year old caught his first fish :) it’s very well located for exploring and adventuring in WNC! Easy to find, easy to get into, very clean and everything needed for a family getaway was here. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Creekside Haven
This is a lovely cabin and we really enjoyed our time. The cabin itself is nicely updated and well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The creek is amazing and the fire pit is all ready with firewood handy. The location is fantastic with the Great Smoky Mountains, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Junaluska, and the quaint town of Waynesville all very convenient for visiting and exploring. We took lots of hikes and enjoyed the area immensely!
I do have two points to make however. One is that this cabin is not secluded. It is right next to a golf course and several bungalows where people are staying. But when hanging out at the back of the house where the creek is, it is very private and the creek is so loud it might as well be secluded.
The other comment I would make is to bring your own towels. The cabin is stocked with the cheapest towels money can buy and they are threadbare! Everything else in the cabin was great, though, and more than adequate.
