We really appreciated being able to take our dogs with us, and to stay in a house so ideal for them (and us!). It's a clean, efficient, practical house which is perfect for a Canberra holiday.
Louisa was also super quick and helpful over minor issues, like internet dropout which we solved together instantly.
Highly recommended!

Put my van that I live in for repairs so stayed for 2 weeks whilst that was getting done. I had a dog and no vehicle to get around so the location was great with dog park not far away and shops a short walk away. thanks

We thoroughly enjoyed our two stays at Cockatoo House. It was warm and comfortable for humans and safe and secure for our dog. When we needed assistance, our hosts responded swiftly. They were kind and generous hosts. As General Macarthur said, “we will return”. Many thanks again.

An older style of house with plenty of room for a family. The back sunroom and backyard were a great space for the children to play. A good location within 20 minutes of most attractions. The only suggested improvement would be a second toilet.

Two ladies, one visiting for work other to visit with family, drove from Melbourne with two dogs.
Property perfect for our needs which was around the dogs, if didn't have them would have stayed in the city. Close to park for daily walk, excellent shops nearby and house roomy, warm and perfectly adequate. Overall very happy with stay and accommodation.

This property is warm and comfortable. Lots of space for a family. We didnt bring our furry family member but it was nice to know we could have. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook meals. Bedrooms are comfortable and extra blankets are provided. Bathroom was modern and easy to use. Has a washing machine but we didnt use so can't comment. Back yard was nice with a really cool bent tree. Nice veranda to enjoy a coffee out there. Access was easy with owners easy to follow instructions. Would stay again. And i would recommend

Perfect house & location for us, about 10 mins in any direction from the places we needed. Great spot if you want to avoid the city centre (& those changing speed zones😬) but easy access if you don’t. The birds were a lovely surprise! Thanks Louisa, we’ll be back!

My husband and I and our fur bub stayed at Cockatoo House for three nights.
Situated in a great location, we found the place spacious, cosy, comfortable and peaceful. We loved the large sunroom with dining table which was perfect to entertain. Our doggy loved the neatly kept fenced in backyard. The Knox pizzas were really yummy.
Would definitely stay here again.

Had a very pleasant stay . Lots of room for everyone to move around. Love the big dining table in the back patio. With our group of five, a second toilet would have been more practical. Would gladly recommend this for a family or small group getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cockatoo House with our family of five and little dog.
There is a green spcas and playground just a few metres away from the house. The tram stop is in short walking distance, which was handy for getting to Floriade.
The house itself is cosy and has good heating. We’d stay at Cockatoo House anytime again.

The cottage was nice and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The heating was very good. We did find the beds uncomfortable though and having to bring our own sheets and towels wasn't very good. The backyard was nicely fenced and we did appreciate being able to bring our little dog, thanks.
