Belmont is a lovely place to stay

The staff were very friendly and informative. There was plenty of parking. We thought the wine and chocolates in the room was a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent and a good selection

The room was clean and tidy but was on the small size

Exceptional

Excellent location, fantastic property with character with pool at the back, clean and tidy. Owners make a huge effort to make our stay nice without any hassle, they made us feel so welcome, very helpfull during the stay. I will returnt to the hotel in the future and recomend it from my heart.

Ok as hosts and breakfast was ok, but wouldn’t return.

Breakfast was quite good. Selection of teas, coffees, cereals and cooked was above average

We had Room 3. The Bathroom facilities were very poor. A small bath and a hand held shower head. Kneeling in the bath to shower off and wash your hair. No grab handlesto get out of the bath ( elderly / impaired ) as very limited space in the bathroom to manoeuvre. The Room in all was dated and worn. The TV was minuscule.

Had a first class holiday break.

Breakfast was good, as you would expect from a small hotel. The staff (ie owners) were first class and helpful beyond expectations. The aim was to ensure we had a great experience.

Exceptional

Fantastic hotel very clean and tidy, breakfast iin the morning was great banging fry up to start the day. Overall a very pleasant 10 days stay at the Belmont Linda and Des are great hosts that give that personel touch making your holiday a greqt one. Will return defiently again would recommend the Belmont to anyone who wants a lovely stay in shanklin.

wonderful place to stay, great hosts, breakfast & location

Lovely property with verandah at front and nice pool at the back. Breakfast excellent as well as hosts Linda & Des. Good location near old town and down to esplanade.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Belmont and would recommend it to anyone!

The property was in an excellent location, right between the beach and the town. It is a beautiful property and Lynda and Des made us feel so welcome! The breakfast was lovely. It was very hot during our stay but we were made more comfortable with a fan in our room. The pool area was great.

Delightful and nothing was too much trouble

Clearly a very well run and cared for hotel, the complimentary wine and chocolates were a nice touch. The location was perfect and very easy to get to if walking rather than driving.

Very good

Location was brilliant, lovely breakfast water was always hot for bath and shower. No children was great.

There were lots of stairs no lift, room wasn't serviced so had to always ask for more tea bags and milk bed wasn't made bathroom wasn't cleaned although I'm sure if we'd asked it would have been cleaned.

Lovely hotel

The hotel was extremely clean and had a warm feel, Des and Linda are great hosts and the staff a credit to them. Breakfast is first class being freshly cooked. Great bar and seating area adjacent for relaxation. Grounds looked good but didn't avail ourselves of the pool. Also a very convenient location, quiet street easy walking distance to beach and High Street

Was allocated room 3 which was well appointed and had a thoughtful welcome pack, with plenty of tea and coffee. The only downside,the bathroom was very small. On reflection should have asked if it was possible to upgrade. That said it didn't impact a great deal on our stay

The owners Des and Linda make this a place to visit. 10 out of 10 for hosting.

A great location for visiting Shanklin. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety. This was our second visit and we will definitely be staying again.

Back to the 1980's in Shanklin

Tasty breakfast, although I recommend avoiding the Tea. Great location, just a short stroll from the seafront and the restaurants in Shanklin. Pleasant hosts.

Tired decor and paper thin walls to Room 19 which is next to the breakfast room. Room was small and a strange shape; to say it had a garden view was stretching it a bit, but we weren't there much so this wasn't soooo much of an issue.

The hotel has a lovely, traditional feel to it with beautiful Victorian style features throughout. It is excellently located in a quiet road which is still very near to the beach and restaurants. Des and Linda are excellent hosts and they did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

First Class

Fantastic Hotel. Made to feel instantly welcome by our Fantastic hosts Dez and Linda. Perfect breakfast each morning. Fantastic large double room. Stayed a week with my Wife and was gutted to leave. Outside pool a lovely addition. Would not hesitate to recommend to Family and Friends.

There is absolutely NOTHING to dislike about this property and it’s perfect location.
