Great location walks and amazing views

A lovely house with a great view. Very clean.
The hot tub (an additional £400) was a great focus for the evenings, though one bath towel per person to shower and use hot tub without a tumble drier, presented problems. We were lucky we had good drying weather
Curtains or blinds in the dining room area would be useful to cut out the blinding sun in the late afternnoon /evening
Would suggest the provision of one small sponge/scouring pad ,a jeyes cloth, and a bin liner was a little mean in view of the cost of the booking..
PS Some brochures and recommendations of where to visit etc. from previous guests would have been helpful
These small irritants did not stop us from having a good holiday!

The house was in a great location, with beautiful views and walks. There were 10 of us and we never felt on top of each other, there’s plenty of space and a really well presented house. One downside is it’s a 15 minute drive from shops and an even further drive to a Sandy beach, but the hot tub and views helped with that.

Exceptional house in a beautiful location.
This house was modern, clean, well equipped and just perfect for a break away from it all.
We had a long weekend here and enjoyed going for a walk in the country, sitting in the hot tub and relaxing in front of the wood burner...idyllic!

Family Birthday Celebration
On arrival, we were blown away by the beautiful home, furnishings and views - it really is stunning. Caroline has thought of pretty much everything a family would need to feel at home. It was a bit disappointing as a family of 12 to hear the dishwasher had broken down before our stay , the last thing you want on your holiday is excessive cleaning and there were just 2 tea towels which didn’t work well. There are lots of great things about the home, the bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped, there is a lot of crockery and cutlery which makes life easier. The garden area is great with BBQ and trampoline , although you do have to supply your own charcoal. The deck could benefit from some stable lounge furniture but that’s a small thing, the helicopter chairs were just a little trick to get in and out of and tip easilyI would recommend this holiday home but only if you don’t mind a bit of extra housework too!! The only things that will prevent our return was the late check in of 4pm and long list of instructions around cleaning, stripping beds, cleaning oven, cleaning out BBQ and Fire etc before an early 10am check out. We spent a good few hours the day before just complying with the list of instructions and it felt quite pressured with the threat of surcharges if it wasn’t all done . I realise it’s a big home to turn around for the next guests but it’s not a great feeling when you are on an expensive family break to just get away from the pressures of everyday life and find you’ve a lot of ‘jobs’ to be done before you leave and if not acceptable you will lose money - my mum spent most of the weekend panicking about us not leaving the house perfect enough - we were up at 7am before a 4 hour drive home just to ensure we didn’t miss anything!! This is a very personal objection and I’m sure wouldn’t bother others, the house is amazing and I would still recommend. Thank you

Apart from WOW unbelievable place nothing has come close to perfection as BLACKDOWN VIEWS
Our early xmas family get together was a fantastic long weekend. Set in beautiful countryside thar you can even admire from a luxury hot tub and the brave did at below 10deg in sleight /rain. Us oldies just sat in the open plan lounge viewing it through the paneronic decking windows next to a log fire with a large bourbon & coke yep ice as well. The grandkids found tbe play area, trampoline etc a pity pool wa covered ho yes i suppose it may be the end of October & winter i will let you off. Met the caretaker fencing in one of fishing lakes to keep tbe otter away from the big fish & restocking others not into fishng normally but their looked really relaxed. Would we go again try & stop us.
