About this house rental
There are two entrances to the house depending on where you park. If you park through the gate you will enter from the back into the kitchen. If you park in front of the gate or on the street you will enter through the front door into the living room. The front door has two steps in front of it. When you enter the front door you are put on the main floor which includes the living room with a sectional, flat screen TV, and another dining room table which can double as a work space. Directly to the left of the front door is the first bedroom with a queen bed. The second door in the bedroom leads to the hallway which includes another bedroom with two twin beds, next to that is a separate full bathroom with complete amenities. The kitchen is at the end of the hallway. It is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a small dining table, and a Keurig Machine with dark roast K Cups. There is a staircase leading downstairs by the back door in the kitchen which goes down to the basement. In the basement, you can find the laundry room. You can also find a large sectional, a large flat screen Smart-TV, and a ping pong table complete with paddles and ping pong balls. In the main floor hallway, there is another staircase that leads upstairs into a hallway where there are two bedrooms; one with a king bed and another with two twins. Each bedroom in the house has a built-in closet place with cupboards and drawers to store clothes and other items. Also upstairs is another full bathroom with all amenities. The house has a fully fenced backyard, a mother in law that is rented full time and a two car garage that is used for storage. The whole property is available for use except the garage and mother in law. Across the street is a large park with a track, playground, picnic area, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a public pool that is very budget friendly. The park is very nice to swim at and picnic in the summer months and in the winter it is the ideal spot for sledding. In the evening, there are many people around the neighborhood who like to stroll around the park with their children and pets. Also right by the park is the Yakima Valley Museum and the Museum Soda Shop.
Please note: there are security cameras located at the front door of the main house, near the back porch of the main house, and on the north facing side of the Guest House. The cameras can only capture exterior images, none face into either house.

The ad was an exact match to our experience. So much space. Loved the rooms and bed options. Ice cold AC. Perfect location to the Sundome Fair grounds. We found close and delicious restaurants. Overall great experience and the host was the best I’ve ever had. If we come back to Yakima for anything we will try to stay here!

We throughly enjoyed this house. It's got the charm of an older home with nice updates. Plenty of room for a large group. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials we needed. Check out process couldn't have been easier. Hope to be able to stay there again in the future.

Thank you for a wonderful stay for Thanksgiving weekend. We came to visit family and were so wowed by this property. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, great location with a walking route just outside our door. Monica was great and even tracked down a blender that we needed for a recipe. We will be back next time we come to visit our family!!

This was a great old house in a lovely neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and great towels! A quiet neighborhood with great walking to see a variety of architecture. Clean and comfortable! Clean and we made it work for game playing for 7 of us.

My family stayed here while visiting my in laws and we adored this house. The pictures online led me to believe it’s a 2BR house, but there are actually four!! Far more spacious than we had envisioned! My boys loved having their own hangout area in the basement. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The neighborhood is charming and quiet and there is a large park across the street with tons of green space, tennis courts, a pool and a running track. The owner is kind and responsive and has thought of just about everything to make your stay as comfy as possible.
There is an in-home security system that takes you by surprise when you first enter- because as you open the door it begins alarming and you need to enter the code into the keypad. Better smile because it takes a picture as you disable the system, and the best part is you can scroll back thru the previous pics and have a good belly laugh. I give this place a 10/10, and if there could be a coffee table book compiling all those security system pics I’d give it a 12/10.
We will certainly make this our home away from home when visiting family in the future!

Nice little home plenty of space for 6 adults. We will come back again. Our week consisted of visiting with local family and traveling to Oregon through the Yakima Reservation, ride to Mt. Rainier, a ride through Yakima Canyon, Packwood and Leavenworth. This was a great time of the year to come and visit. Thank you.

This house is spacious, welcoming, well stocked, and was a perfect homebase for our getaway weekend for winetasting with friends in Yakima. We really appreciated the second living room in the basement so that people staying up late wouldn't bother sleepers on the first floor. Lots of privacy for our group, a beautiful yard for the dogs, and Monica was a wonderful host. Highly recommend and we would stay again!

The place was great. Its fun to see the architecture and lay out of an older home. It gave us plenty of space to spread out and has been beautifully updated throught out. The location was a plus as Franklin park has a lot to offer. We were able the park 3 big trucks between the driveway and street and still leave room for the other unit renters to come and go. Stayed cool despite being in the high 90's. We'd definitely stay again. Monica, the host, was very attentive and responsive.

The cleanliness and comfort of this place is great! It’s a good layout for extended family or a couple families. Pet friendly with a large park across the street, which was super convenient.

I didn't thoroughly read the description and we were very happily surprised with the basement level!
The rooms are all very private from one another with lots of unpacking space in each room. Kitchen and dining spaces were larger than expected.
Unfortunately, our stay was during the cold month of November (with snow) so we didn't get to enjoy the outside, but we are 100% going to look to book this house again when we return in the early summer.
Communicative host, lots of space, close to everything, but far enough away for security!! Just wonderful!
