Beautiful, peaceful home with stunning views. Kids entertained with video games. Spacious, clean, and private. Great for families and activities. Would happily return.

The property is in a beautiful location on the edge of the lake. It is well proportioned and fitted our group of 6 easily. Unfortunately, it could do with a good clean. We had to contact the managers when we arrived due to an issue with the alarm. The communication was excellent and the problem sorted quickly, which we were very grateful for.

Great time away at this lakeside lodge for 8 of us friends! Highly recommend booking in here for your next Rotorua visit.

Our family of 6 stayed 3 nights in the house and had a great time. It is very spacious and has a lot of interesting things to look at or do. The kids were very entertained by the video games. Although it is half an hour out of Rotorua, the location is quiet and the view of the river is simply stunning. It was very peaceful and lovely to return to after a busy day. There was an issue with bedding which was resolved quickly and without fuss. We would happily recommend and wish we had longer to stay.

Great views of the lake but couldn’t access the water which was very disappointing as we would of liked to kayak there

We loved our stay, this was the perfect home for our extended family holiday of 4 adults and 4 kids, beautiful view and great spaces to be in. Loved having use of the kayak and plenty of life jackets in a variety of sizes made life easy. Will definitely stay again!

Great location, clean, great views, spacious & very quiet and private. We had 8 people and fit comfortably. Good cooking facilities too. Had kayaks to use, however had to get them down to the boat ramp so you’ll need roof racks or something similar.
A shame the jetty hasn’t been fixed as we had to drive to the boat ramp to swim. And a few maintenance issues but Russell was relatively easy to contact. Would stay here again just if the jetty was fixed! :) an umbrella for the outside table would also be great.

Great view, great location. Walked to hot spring waterfall nearby and boiling mud pots. Twenty minute drive to see free glow worms at Okere Falls. Loved the maps on the wall. Biggest complaint is the strong mildew odor coming from the first floor.

Good size home for our family of 9, shame the weather wasn’t good to explore the area and swim in the lake. Few things that were missing, which said would be at the house, no soap for the showers, no handy towels in the kitchen, no rubbish bags, 2 tea towels for a four day stay…not a big deal, we would have taken these things if we had known they would not be at the house . No animals aloud… carpet smelt like dog. Just small things, great house and location we had a great Christmas.

We adored the Bach's location—it was perfect! The rooms were spacious, which was great. However, a larger TV and better maintenance would be beneficial. Communication was prompt, which was appreciated. Overall, our family from South Africa thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Plenty to do for all ages. House has plenty of room and we loved those afternoon drinks on the deck in the sun.

Loved the location all as described in the listing.
Sadly the property is let down by a lack of maintenance. This is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. The exterior is covered in spiderwebs and mould, all the cedar cladding is looking pretty worse for wear. Inside all the ceilings have spiderwebs and while the general cleanliness was good it was pretty disappointing to see such a lovely house not looked after.
The check in process is simple and the owner was accommodating with good communication via txt.
To our surprise there is an awesome arcade system which kept our kids entertained for hours as well lots of media and games to use. Some awesome bush walks around the property too. Boat ramp is very close but sadly with the lake access from the house via stairs not available after the cyclone you can’t leave your boat in the lake.
Overall though a beautiful spot to stay.

Property is away from the city. First time visitor's would need to drive to the city might take some time for travel. But for the people who have already been to rotorua they would know what exactly they want to do and if they want a big house and quite space, this is the perfect location. We simply loved the stay. House is beautiful and specious and beds are comfortable. We went in winter but summer in this house will be amazing.
Beautiful views from the house. Heating facilities are great.
I will definatly visit again.

Pros: Lovely views. Well set up kitchen. Lovely and warm with the fire going. Loved the games console.
Things to note: Road to the house is in poor condition at the moment. Only one shower at a time is advisable so that the water temperature is not affected. Laundry shoot in top bathroom is blocked at the bottom, don’t use.

We loved staying in this bach! Had everything we needed. The space invaders machine got a lot of use (when we weren't out and about in RotoVegas doing the touristy activities)! Ours boys had a room each to themselves. The view over the lake was amazing. The wood burner was stoked up each night to heat up the living area and the upstairs bedrooms. The info booklet was very thorough and we were inspired to go for a walk up to the little heated stream. The kitchen really was fully equipped - could cater for so many people! Every room was clean and tidy. Comfy beds and plenty of blankets (even had oil heaters in the bedrooms). We are definitely keen to visit in the summer time - the indoor / outdoor flow is perfect for bbq's and drinks on the deck. And when the stairs to the jetty are fixed it'd be awesome to take the kayaks down for a paddle. Thank you so much to the hosts for sharing their special piece of paradise!

Private and quiet, everything provided.
Would highly recommend this location.

Very different style home with plenty of room for many people. What I loved: the sliding glass doors out to the deck with the gorgeous views. What I didn’t love: no updates. The home is showing its age and so are the furnishings. The place is clean. Also the entrance to the lake from property via stairs and dock are still closed waiting for repair as of mid April.

The views of this property are gorgeous! It is remote so very quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was well equipped and the bbq was in good shape as well. Large dining room table and outdoor table for eating.

What a fantastic place to stay! It catered very well for 4 adults and 4 kids, so many choices of bed configurations. The kids (including the big ones!) loved the gaming table and bought back lots of awesome memories and made lots of new ones. We took our jetskis and had a fab day on the lake and at the hotpools. Love to come back when the jetty is back in action.

Amazing views, has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Shame the water access isn’t available at the moment as this would have been perfect! That said, access via the boat ramp down the road was easy enough to launch the kayaks and go for a swim. Thank you for an amazing stay!

The house is really nice. Beautiful views and a huge decking. It was lovely being able to go to the lake so easily!! We Brough our paddle boards and borrowed one of the kayaks to cross to the hot pools that were about 15 - 20 minutes away. It is a lovely place with an awesome location. Kitchen had anything we needed.
It was tidy when we arrived but one of the Quilts was really dirty from the inside.
