About this house rental

If you are looking for peace, privacy and tranquility, this is it. Cedarview faces east and gets the morning sun to fill the house and living area with light and warmth. The large deck is surrounded by safety glass and commanding views over the lake and Mount Tarawera.
This property also features on my 2 Lakes Holiday Rental site if your preference is to deal directly with no web fees.
Open up the large folding doors onto the deck and you have the indoor outdoor flow. The house is cool during the day and warm at night especially in the upper bedrooms. There are beds for 9 plus a couch.
In today's information age, it's important to be in touch. Cedarview has complimentary WiFi for all. The HD movie theatre room downstairs will keep movie buffs entertained for hours or the kids happy when you are entertaining on the deck. There is Freeview TV and blu-ray player for sitting on the leather couches and relaxing. For the more adventurous, there are several access points along the road to walk down to the lake. There is a road-front boat pad, which will take large boats and they can be launched at Stoney Point.
If you want to explore, a short drive will take you to the Blue Lake or Whakarewarewa Forest (The Redwood forest), for some amazing mountain biking or walking trails. It's a 20 minute drive into Rotorua with a huge variety of pursuits. Cedarview has a well-equipped kitchen, a high chair for toddlers, and a porta-cot . There are beds for 9, and being a large house there is plenty of room for more. Sunny all year around, quality leather couches, and with fire box (wood supplied). Good in and out driveway access and an area to park a boat.
There is a walking lake access way, which is 100m back towards town on the left -hand side. It's down a driveway slightly but takes you straight to the lake.
The boat parking and launching is at Stoney Point Reserve, approx 1.0 km back towards town on Spencer Road.
Special conditions:
BOOKING PRICE IS FOR 6 PEOPLE. AN EXTRA NIGHTLY CHARGE OF $35 PER PERSON IS REQUIRED UP TO A MAX OF 9. NO EXTRA GUESTS WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
With young children be mindful of rock garden out the front and retaining walls at the back.
Rubbish bags are provided and need to be disposed of at the transfer station at the end of your stay. There is no rubbish collection on Spencer Road.
No cooking curries please.
All our properties are monitored 24 hours by Lake Security for your piece of mind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family holiday. Lake Tarawera is a stunning location and Cedarview is a lovely house with all the conveniences we needed. We especially appreciated the air conditioning during the hot nights. The communication with both the property manager and the housekeeper was easy and friendly!

Booked the home for my family to stay for my wedding weekend. Was a great place close to the venue (Black Barn) and more then enough space for my family and groomsman to stay the night before and night of the wedding. Nice clean house with everything you need to have a great stay. Will be booking again for a more relaxed stay next time!

This was a beautiful home with amazing views everything in the place made it feel like home, im sorry but the blind that covers the window in the theater fell down with no force but put back nicely and also the main doors to both balconys the handles kept falling. Over all this is a beautiful home would love to come again in the future. Thank you for the amazing experience

We are ECE teachers and booked here for 2 nights for our mid term team bonding event. We done a good clean before leaving , vaccumed all 3 levels , stripped the beds and left the washing in piles so there wasnt alot to do , opened a few windows , locked the door and left.... We have since been accused of having more than our booked number staying - the proof being how much bedding was used ?? He counted our bedding.. Weve also been let know hes un happy with Windows being left open and beds being stripped as he stated they arnt cleaned after each use. Not to mention we had no running water for the 1st day of our stay causing some of us to stay else where. Hes then had the audacity to ask for more money for cleaning fee when ot was left spotless. Some people. Never again.

Stunning views, excellent facilities, great location to Black Barn our daughters wedding venue. Only negative tho not for our group but if there were elderlies, all living is upstairs& master bedroom up another level again. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again

The property is amazing very spacious and good facilities everything we needed and more. It’s in an excellent location very peaceful. Only downside was the booking as misleading as when you pay the price is more than expected as they only include one linen price then suddenly add $30 per person and it’s not optional so why not included .

We loved our stay at this great property. We had 6 Adults in our party across 3 generations and the house suited us perfectly. We were at Lake Tarawera for a family wedding at the Black Barn so this house enabled us to be close to the venue. We loved the views across the Lake and really enjoyed the common areas and well equipped Kitchen that opened up to the deck and lake views beyond. Thanks for a perfect venue for the long weekend.

This house was perfect for our large group. Plenty of room to be together, or have your own space if needed. Kitchen well stocked with all the dishes you could think of. Whole property was clean and tidy to walk into. Lake view is stunning. Excellent communication throughout, including day one when we had a small problem with the back door. Need to update some details on listing such as check in time (4pm) and linen charges are $30pp not $25. This soon adds up when booking for 10 people. We were thankful to get an early check in because no one was in property before us.

This house was clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Warm and comfy. The views were picture perfect. The downstairs cinema room was a real treat. We even canceled our dinner reservations in town to stay and watch movies. Great communication with manager and more specifically the house keeper. Will look forward to another visit.

Amazing location, fantastic facilities, outstanding views, easy car access, very clean, comfortable beds and great communication with the Property Manager and the House Keeper. Amazing accomodation

This was the perfect place to stay for our wedding accomodation. The view was amazing, the parking for the boat was great and the size of the house made things easy when we had visitors popping over. My nana can’t use the stairs so I was so relieved to find the driveway goes behind the house so she was able to enter into the first storey of the house with no trouble. On our last night we decided to use the theatre room and that was such a great addition to the house. Definitely a place you could come at anytime of the year.

We stayed with extended family to attend a wedding. Could not fault it bar a slightly blocked shower which the property manager was going to sort. You could spend all day just sitting on the deck looking at the lake. Only shame was we didn't spend more time there
