Loved every minute!

The best hostel experience we’ve ever had! you’d be silly not to book - The staff are impeccable, just so unbelievably attentive, could not have wished for a better team. Every single one of them have the kindest souls going above and beyond to make our trip so special and giving us the most pure Filipino experience. - The food is amazing all freshly cooked and super accommodating towards my gluten allergy (which is insanely rare around Asia) - Located on the most bliss beach front surrounded by a peaceful welcoming local village. - Activities on every single night so perfect for meeting people if travelling alone. - Mad monkey Nacpan go above and beyond for the local community helping raise funds to build schools & much more, we even had the most heart warming experience judging a talent show created by mad monkey for the local community to get involved. - Highly recommend the ultimate mad monkey island hopping tour, lovely private experience with other hostel guests (you will not get this type of intimate experience with other companies! - To top it all off we had the best massage on the beach front Overall just the perfect experience, absolutely made our Philippines trip and I couldn’t recommend enough!! Thankyou so much:) will forever hold a special place in our hearts <3 Love, Libby, Luis, Ruth & Nathalie

Not worth it all the buzz about it

I like the beach just across the bar and they give you free beach towels

Poor quality of food and way too pricey. Excursions even though you pay environmental tax they didn't give you any receipt so when you end up booking other tours outside mad monkey you have no proof of your payment and it's more expensive than the tours you find all over the island. Even though the beds are quite large the mattress is too thin and the room is way too hot, they ask you to move rooms to match other groups of people regardless of your length of stay. Wouldn't definitely recommend the price they charge you.

-Der Napcan Beach ist ein sehr schön - das Mad Monkey liegt direkt am Strand :) -Cooles Ambiente & Bar -Kartenzahlung (meistens) möglich -ATM direkt beim Hostel -gut um Leute kennenzulernen, bieten Unterhaltung an und Musik -SEHR empfehlenswerte, preiswerte Restaurants direkt neben dem Hostel von Einheimischen!

-Preis eher hoch für ein Hostel -Sandflies am Strand (Mosquito Spray hilft)

Well-equipped hostal at Nacpan Beach

Very friendly and helpful staff, makes sure you are well integrated even you travel alone. They helped me to change my shuttle time back to El Nido. Big bed, curtains at the beds, thanks to electric fan the temperature was good, but also my bed was directly in front of it. Maybe the beds on zop are hotter. Big lockers. Free water. Good bar with events. Beautiful location with lots of chairs and beach chairs.

I was a bit confused that on the map it is shown that there are 2 Mad Monkeys on the beach, one the right location and one much more far away, but in fact it is only one. Well, it is a party hostal with loud music, so... When the bar is connected to the lounge/relax area it makes you feel uncomfortable when you just wanna sit but feel like you need to consume something. Wifi was good, however it didn't work in the patio area between the end of the bar area and the beach.

Everything! Perfect location, cool people! Everyone is very chill and friendly. Beach is just out of this world! Parties are up to 12 AM, after that you can chill in a beach bar

Epic party vibes

As with all Mad Monkey hostels, this location was no different in getting you to enjoy the party. The staff were absolutely amazing, MJ, Dashie, EZ and Maria to name a few were so welcoming and ensured every guest had an amazing time. The beach is absolutely beautiful and just amazing vibes!

Best stay in the Philippines!

I spent 2 nights in Mad monkey, and by so far the best of my stay in the philippines, I had to chill the day, enjoy the amazing sunset and amazing beach, and at the same time have so much fun by night!! The staff is so cool and they do everything to make you feel good and happy! For solo travel, meeting other people will be so easy

Right at the beach. you get beautiful sunsets, can jump directly into the ocean. the staff was really friendly and there was a lot of activities and the made sure everyone got some drinks :)

Good party place for the twenties. Location was good, just front of the beach. If you wanna see and enjoy the Nacpan Beach stay at the city and take a van to the Nacpan and back.

Noisy, the walls were made of paper, the food was basic and a bit expensive. The rooms were hot, there was no air conditioning.

SO hot, not one bit of air con in the whole place. Have to walk along the beach with all your bags to get there. Overpriced for what it is and food and drink is expensive. Go next door and buy for half the price from local family

Superb

It's a really cool party hostel. The stuff is doing their best to make you drunk :)). The room is convenient for couple days as a solo traveler. If you're a digital nomad, be aware of the bad wifi connection. The beach is amazing. There are free shots and welcome drinks and the restaurant menu is pretty good too.

Wifi is not good in that area. The rooms doesn't have ac but fan for every bed.

Beautiful hostel however with some issues

Best location on the best beach on Palawan. Fancy hostel according to Mad Monkey standards. I got 1 night refunded in cash and 1 night upgraded to a private dorm with 1 ventilator which I left switched off for that night.

The dorms have no AC, but 6 ventilators instead. I couldn’t sleep there because of the noise - imagine how loud it is with 6 ventilators working simultaneously. Besides this noise also the water generator was making an annoying sound. The ATM at the hostel had no cash for the week that I stayed on Nacpan. Card payments at the bar are not possible - very difficult situation if the ATM isn’t working. As a result no one was able to tip the staff causing them being not in the best mood, which is totally understandable concerning their low salary.

great place to meet people and explore

without doubt the people. if you’re planning to do a Solo trip in El Nido, Palawan, this is the place to stay. the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. they organise activities and island hopping tours during the day while throwing parties at night. they make sure everyone feels comfortable and create an environment where everyone is included. lots of information and recommendations. get to talk to everyone and get the bearings of the islands from people who have experienced before you. facilities are good value for money. rooms are decent and toilets are clean.

WiFi connection is poor. Fixing that would massively improve the customer experience.
